After rereading the whole story for the third time, I just had to make a few more comments.  Chapter 46, is great for all the birthday fluff, but what I really really love about it is that Hermione is such a force of nature.  She's like a hurricane and Severus doesn't know how to handle her at all, except to give in and let her bowl him over.  

I think chapter 48 is still my favorite chapter yet.  I have already regaled you with my favourite quote where Severus tells her she should have transfiguring a sofa instead.  Hermione's conversation with Ginny has really grown on me as well because it illustrates how much Snape is rubbing off on her.  She's picking up his favorite "Fucking hell", the eyebrow arch, and even a bit of the snarkiness.  So cute!  Love it!

Question in ch. 50: 

She must tell them that—that's all she needed—to kiss her and make it all go away.

He must kiss her. He could heal her with his…

No, not that. She couldn't think of that.

What "that" could she not think of? and why not?

How did Hermione know the dark-magic incantation that Severus sang to heal her?  And Dumbledore and Pomfrey were both surprised that Hermione was completely healed.  Why?  Is Severus' magical power getting stronger like Hermione's is?

And finally, how long till ch. 52 is done?  This is torture, I say!  Torture!  I absolutely love your Severus.  Yours is my favorite incarnation of his character.

I found out about this story some days ago and I have been staying up VERY late since then...I loved every little bit and immediately included it in the list of favorite stories.Thank you for some real good entertainment!

I wonder if this episode will force Severus to admit just how deeply he does care for Hermione. It seemed a bit of a desperate attempt he mad to save her.

More than ever she is a force to be reckon with.And this is my favourite moment :He belatedly realized, Miss Granger—her eyes still bloodshot but filled with warmth—was stroking his hand. Not clinging to it in search of comfort, but comforting him!I so much like when Severusis being vulnerable and just her is capable of soothing him.

Soooo. . . .  its kinda like Christmas with an update this soon.  Brilliantly done!  And I think it must be soulmates that made that incantation of his work.  Brilliant!!!  and bless the thesaurus!

I'm glad she's okay! I do wonder what she was up to, though - looking forward to finding it out! And I loved Severus hovering between caring for her, reaching out for her and being angry at her - the poor man is so smitten. Heh.
