After catching Hermione reading a romance novel, Snape urges her to write her own and offers to edit it for her. He doesn't think she'll actually do it, though.

I'm a 26-year-old Accounts Payable manager for a construction company. Basically, I'm paid to write checks and intimidate the menfolk around here. I live with my boyfriend and our dog. I wasn't sucked into the HP fandom until just after the release of HBP. So, I'm a newbie compared to most of the fans out there. I've written in several other fandoms (under different pennames) - Anita Blake, Buffy, X-Files, etc.

A note? I'd be chasing after him. Heck, I think I need a cold shower. Good chapter.
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
Hermione is too brave to just send a note. She might just show up at his door. ;-)
A wonderful chapter and well worth the wait. Now, get the next one rolling!
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
Thank you! Next one will be coming up soon!
I need a cold shower too. My legs will buckle beneath me if I try to stand and leave my computer ;)
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
I always need a cold shower when I think of our favorite Potion Master. ;-)

More coming soon. Glad you're enjoying it!
I just found this story - it's so much fun to read!! There are lots of light, humorous bits and I really like the banter you write between Severus and Hermione. I'm glad to hear this is finished and am looking forward to future chapters. I hope Severus will figure out that he's the model for Sebastian soon... he should be pleased about that!!
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
He'll figure out his connection with Sebastian soon enough. Glad you're enjoying the fic!
Ahhhhh!!!! This is so flippin' GOOD!!! :)
More soon, please!
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
Thank you!
*melts into a puddle of good*
My goodness. Well, she showed him, didn't she? :)
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
I have to give poor Hermione the upper hand sometimes. ;-)
“Please, Granger, that’s what romance novels do. They throw two characters together and, in one way or another, force them into having sexual relations. They certainly don’t have lofty notions of actual plot.”How many romances has he read to know that? I'm happy to see another chapter of your story. It's both very funny and sexy.
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
He's a stubborn man -- what does he know about anything except potions and spying? ;-)
I like the way you're slowly building the tension between them. I also like the way he doesn't try to coddle her like the rest of the staff.
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
His attitude toward here will be one of the major reasons she confides in him. They'll be having a discussion about that in a couple chapters.
:thud:
I think it would be...so HELPful for Hermione if Snape were to...demonstrate some finer points of various acts and positions. Purely in the name of research, of course.
:smiles innocently:
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
And Snape is such a helpful sort of fellow. I'm sure he would set aside some time for her to research positions and such. :-)
Man, I cannot WAIT to see what comments he writes on that chapter. Hee hee hee hee hee.
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
Wait until you see what Hermione writes in the next chapter. ;-)

I think this was my favorite chapter of all. It's the beginning of the dance. And the made up story was very hot!Your Severus is so lovely; he actually could become this man in the future, and that what I really like about him. He understands pain and can empathize with Hermione but is riddled with uncertainty at the same time. It's been such a joy having some input into this story although I was worried about my hair being singed when all those made torch-waving people started to come after me. Phew!
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
I promise to protect you from the torch-wavers. I can't be losing my beta to the masses. ;-)
That was hot! :)I'm normally not that fond of stories in stories, but your is an exception! The scene is vey well done and I loved to imagine reading it, how it would affect the main-reader :)
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
I'm not a fan of reading a story within a story. I actually toyed with the idea of leaving out all of Hermione's prose, but I decided that it really needed to be in there after some thought. I did keep it to a minimum, though. There will be another scene from Hermione in the next chapter, but nothing more beyond that. Anyway, glad you're enjoying the fic!
I think it's prudent for his first missive to her not be laden with innuendo. Very nice!
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
He wouldn't want to scare the poor girl. The next note will be a bit more risque.
Wow! I'm loving it. Who doesn't want to be taken against a dungeon wall by professor Snape? *_* Please, update soon!Kisses
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
I agree! Snape + dungeon wall = ooh boy!
Response from Maya Snape (Reviewer)
Tnks for answering. Someone occured to me right now: Sebastian and Haley have the same initials than Severus and Hermione (SS and HG). How can't Sevie notice that? He's really dreamy about Hermione, I think. *laughs*
*fans self*
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
Severus has that effect on me too. I usually have to practice deep breathing and fan myself when I read about him. :-)
Wonderful chapter, and great depiction of Granger/Snape as they're ignoring their brains and thinking with their ... et ceteras. Actually Severus is being a bit unfair about Hermione's initial chapters -- many romance publishing guidelines would insist on a bit of chaste relationship development before the hero/heroine go at it the way they do in Hermione's later chapter. So there, Severus. I'm glad Hermione got you all hot and bothered.
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
By the time I got into writing the second chapter (the first was written months before I decided to continue it), I decided that I wanted to try to write Severus differently than I also write him. I tend to make him angsty and distant, sometimes angry and bitter. In an effort to have a bit more fun, I felt like I should make him more of a typical man -- give him a sex drive and a sense of humor. Which led me to writing about his impatience for the sex part of Hermione's story. I can totally see the typical guy wanting to get the talk-y part overwith so they can get to the good stuff (sex). Severus Snape: Impatient Reader. Anyway, I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed the chapter. I hope the rest are just as enjoyable.
Wow. That is pretty much the only word I can really form after reading this chapter. It was excellent and I can't wait to read more!
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
Thanks! More coming up soon. I just need to give the chapter a final proof before I submit it.
Yes, I believe she gave him what he wanted.
Great chapter.
Next please.
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
Coming up soon. Glad you're enjoying it!
"Severus desperately wanted to write her something dirty..."Oh, that's delicious! Well done! Brava!...Now, where's the rest of it, hmm?~Lotm
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
I promise dirty notes in the next chapter! I couldn't finish the story without at least one innuendo-filled note penned by our delicious Mr. Snape.
This is getting better and better, please update soon!
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
More coming up around this time next week. I just need to do my final proof of the chapter before submitting it. I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Man, I'm sad that Severus opted not to write that dirty little note...oh well, all in good time I suppose. The lemony scene was written in a very Hermione-esque way. Great job with that and with the chapter as a whole.
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
After I finished it, I wanted to go back and "fix" the written scenes, but I didn't have the inspiration to do so. I wasn't sure they were Hermione enough. Anyway, I'm glad you think they are! And Severus will opt for the dirty note in the next chapter. Promise. ;-)
OMG, way to hilarious! These two need to get it togeter, I can't believe he hasn't figured out the male lead is based on him. LOLO
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
He'll start suspecting soon enough. And Hermione can't keep a secret for anything. Glad you're enjoying the fic, though!
Muah ha ha. That good old given name ought to set her straight.
Response from anogete (Author of His Infamous Red Quill)
Hermione's going to set him straight as well, but you won't get to read that until Chapter 7. ;-)
