I'm a 26-year-old Accounts Payable manager for a construction company. Basically, I'm paid to write checks and intimidate the menfolk around here. I live with my boyfriend and our dog. I wasn't sucked into the HP fandom until just after the release of HBP. So, I'm a newbie compared to most of the fans out there. I've written in several other fandoms (under different pennames) - Anita Blake, Buffy, X-Files, etc.

I have to tell you the honest to god truth. I avoided reading this story at first. There wasn't anything in it that really grabbed me. Do you know what I mean?However, this is the best stroy that I have read in a very long time. It was spectacular!I loved the character development. I loved you Snape; this is exactly how I picture a nice seductive Snape. This is also how I picture a realation ship between he and Hermione might develop. Not necessarily with a romance novel, though that was a nice touch, but the interaction between them. It was perfect!I am now on my way to adding this to my favorites list and to check if you have any other stories posted. If so; I am very excited.If not; I expect one immediately!Cheers,

I've done that before! I'll see a story and avoid reading it just because it doesn't sound like something I'd be interested in. Then I'll get really desperate for something to read and give it a go. Once in a while, it will be one I really, really enjoy, which is a total treat. I'm glad this story could be that for you!I did a bit of experimentation with Snape in this fic. I tend to write his as a rather angsty sort of fellow. However, to lighten this one up a bit, I had to give him a different role in order to work with Hermione. So, I threw caution to the wind and wrote him as more of a typical, red-blooded male without loads of hang-ups and baggage.Anyway, if you read any of my other fics, I hope you enjoy them!

Yes, perhaps in another fic. I haven't written anything for months, and I got the urge to do so recently. Perhaps after I devour DH, I can whip up something. If Snape (or Hermione) dies, then I can go into denial and pretend it never happened. ;-)

I'm so glad you finished this so I could read it. I've recently decided not to indulge in unfinished stories -- there are so many and my time has become more limited recently.This was charming, titillating, and a beautiful blend of erotica and romance ... not to mention the requisite dash of angst to give it real depth and flavor.

Thank you! I've been avoiding unfinished pieces as well. Some fics go weeks without an update, and I lose track of them even if they are bookmarked.
...You ALSO need to write an epilogue for a VERY important reason:We need to know whether Hermione finishes her book, submits it for publication, is accepted, and becomes a hugely successful romance novelist...with her husband as her source of masculine inspiration!!

Yay for UST! I loooove writing it, and I looooove reading it even more. I'm sure there will be something else from me after the events of DH. In preparation, I'm trying to work out how to bring people back from the dead. ;-)

The best part is the spontaneity -- she's in wrinkled robes and her bra and knickers, he bursts into the corridor in his shirtsleeves, and drags her into his rooms without a word. Reminds me of the proverbial caveman, actually.
Very, very nice! (But does she ever finish the novel? Do they collaborate on the rest? Or do they simply keep what she's written so far as a momento of how they got together? 
)
