I'm a 26-year-old Accounts Payable manager for a construction company. Basically, I'm paid to write checks and intimidate the menfolk around here. I live with my boyfriend and our dog. I wasn't sucked into the HP fandom until just after the release of HBP. So, I'm a newbie compared to most of the fans out there. I've written in several other fandoms (under different pennames) - Anita Blake, Buffy, X-Files, etc.

I know that if I had been in Hermiones shoes, I would have taken the first quill I laid my eyes on, grabbed anything that could be used to be written on and wrote that note to Severus immediately:-)) In fact, I think I would have let the owls rest and delivered it my self too:-)

LOL I just got an image of Hermione writing the note to him on his forehead to accentuate what a hard-headed, oblivious fellow he can be sometimes.
That was incredibly hot and sweet at the same time...The tension is almost unberable! And you do such a good job in desciribing this hurt and near broken characters - thank you very much!I'm so looking forward to the next chapter, but please take your time, it's worth it.That was my favourit chapter!

What I love about this - besides the obvious (ahem) is that he clearly can be her friend too. And can call her on her bullshit. He's vulnerable, he's real, he's still an arse at times, but he wants to be hers. And she wants to be his.

What you said is exactly what I love about this 'ship. Neither of them is perfect, but I swoon at that thought of of them finding comfort in each other and learning how to be friends. Anyway, I'm really happy that you've been enjoying the fic. :-)
Another wonderful chapter! I can't believe Hermione actually made it back to her rooms after such an offer. Had it been me, I'm pretty sure Snape would have found me the next day as a puddle of lust and desire, slid down against the wall, still in the same spot he left me. Very masterfully done erotica! Keep the chapters coming!

The end scene in this chapter was well worth the wait. The chapter that Hermione could write now that she's been backed up against a wall and had Severus looming over her as he expressed his feelings and desires to her. Or maybe just a note? But in the meantime, will he be wondering at himself and second-guessing what he did?

Poor Snape will forever be second-guessing himself in regards to his relationship with Hermione. He needs to get some self-confidence, the sexy minx. And Hermione will send him a note. She might even deliever it in person since she's such a Gryffindor. ;-)

Glad you liked it! You can thank JenF for knocking me back on course with Severus's lines near the end of this chapter. She and I made a few changes to keep him a bit more in line with the Severus we all know and love.

Interesting approach by Severus. To the point without being too crude. I wonder how long Hermione will take to decide on a course of action.

The Severus I wrote in this fic was a bit of an experiment for me. I always tend to write him as angsty and less overtly sexual. I wanted to make him come across as a healthy, red-blooded man without too much baggage in this fic. It was definitely a fun change of pace. Anyway, glad you're enjoying the fic!
