I am in my late 50's and I didn't even start reading Harry Potter until after the third book came out. My granddaughter got me 'hooked on Potter,' and while surfing the net one day, I found a fanfiction site. That was it! My first story, "Renaissance," was published on Ashwinder a month later and I've been writing ever since. I am primarily a HG/SS shipper, but I also enjoy reading and writing RL/SS. I live in Tampa, Florida with my wonderfully adoring and supportive husband, and three completely spoiled cats. (Kallie, Mysha, and Smudge {who was the inspiration for the cat that Severus gives Hermione in my story "Renaissance."}) I'm always happy to correspond with my readers and I answer ALL reviews. I'm always looking for plot-bunnies, so feel free to throw some ideas out.
Reviews for The Best Laid Schemes
Loved the shopping he did. He's like every nervous groom.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Yes, he really is just a regular guy! Thanks for reading and reviewing.
For a marriage of convenience they are sure doing all the right things.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Oh, they say it's a marriage of convenience, but we know better, don't we?Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Fantastic story! I loved every bit of it - the backstory, the setup of the marriage law, the intrigue, the angst, the outcome, and especially the romance in Cyprus and the original characters. Excellent!
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I'm so glad you enjoyed -- especially the original characters. I love creating original characters and shaping them to fit into the world JKR created. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
So awesome! I loved it!!!!!
Please write more stories like this one!!!
:)
The ministry is really filled to the brim with incompetent, sheep like wizards. *shakes head*Loved the scene in which Snapes mollycoddles Hermione. He really was a bit overbearing in his worries over Hermione's well-being.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Typical bureaurcracy, isn't it? Lots of pompous 'officials' making lots of noise and accomplishing nothing. He certainly was over the top, wasn't he? Maybe he really does care ... maybeThanks for reading and reviewing.
Who is this person and what has she done with Sibyl Tewlaney? To have Sibyl being the special coordinator was a rather unexpected twist. I never really suspected her. But she came across really unhinged, poor thing. LOLBrilliant chapter!
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I wanted the identity of the SC to be a true surprise and twist. I'm glad I succeeded. And 'brilliant' is a great compliment. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Ah, what a delightful chapter.Somehow a lot of wizards seem to have problems with personal hygiene. I wonder if the one wizard with the many wizards is trying out a new method of anti-conception in neglecting himself?I'm eager to read about Trewlaney's reaction whe she finds out she is lacking a groom, so I'll just read on ...
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I'm so happy to know you liked it.I hope I didn't make Calvin too repulsive. I just wanted to paint him as very down to earth. Sort of the blue-collar worker of the wizarding world.Read on, dear one ... read on!Thanks for reading and reviewing.
I'm glad Arthur turned out not to be a baddie in this. I suppose it might be interesting to see him written as a nasty person in a fanfic, but I'd have a hard time accepting it.Anyway, I'm glad they found out what Trelawney was up to!I like this story, a lot.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Oh, I can't quite ever see Arthur as the 'baddie'. Misguided and naive, maybe, but never evil.I'm so happy to know that you like my story! Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Great chapter, I'm really looking forward to seeing how Herminoe and Severus will deal with dissoluting their marriage...
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I'm glad you liked it.The final chapter has been submitted and should appear in a day or so.I hope you'll find the answers to whatever questions you may still have ... including the fate of our stars. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Wonderful, wonderful. So many questions answered. Thanks.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
And still more answered in the next, and final, chapter.I'm so glad you enjoyed. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Brilliant chapter. I think Arthur got out rather well from this interview, Rita quickly changed her tune when he reminded her that she and the Daily Prophet were more than willing to demand a solution to the problem that didn't exist...I am very much looking forward to read more.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Oh, yes, Rita Skeeter didn't want her own part in this abomination examined too closely. She was quick to imply that she, too, had been Imperius'ed by Sybill.'Brilliant' is such a strong word ... I love it!Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Now to see how Hermione and Severus are coping with the possibility of an imminent end to their marriage. Will they stay together or won't they?
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
'Will they stay together or won't they?' Good question. The answer lies ahead in the final chapter. Please check back in a day or so and all will be revealed. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Now our least favorite beetle is hunting for answers from Severus and Hermione, let`s see how she succeeds....Hopefully, your next chapter will tell us more about the future plans of our couple ;-)Good work!
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I don't think I'm giving anything away when I say that we've seen the last of Ms. Skeeter -- at least in this story!Next chapter wraps everything up -- I hope you'll enjoy. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Now let's just see what our couple will decide concerning their own marriage. After all, they too were subjected to the law even if they manage to get around some aspects of it.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Sometimes decisions are out of our hands ...Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Well, Skeeter did an okay job, I think. That digging up comment makes me worried, though. More Severus and Hermione, please.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Oh, Skeeter's job is done ... she's just saying that to inflate her own importance. She is, after all, a legend in her own mind! The final chapter has been submitted, so check back in a day or so to see what happens. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Rita doesn't like the truth, does she?
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Only her own version of it. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Wow, who knew she was such a capable witch. Still all that time in the castle, she had to learn something.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Exactly. We're never really shown what magic she is capable of. Just because we don't see her using her magic very frequently doesn't mean the magic isn't there to be tapped under the right circumstances. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Good to know that Arthur Weasley can hold his own against Rita Skeeter! I can't fathom how Trelawney could pull such an elaborate stunt off, but it is always the ones you least expect, isn't it?
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Still waters run deep and all that ...I wanted the 'villian' to be someone totally unexpected, so I took a chance on Sybill. In Canon, she comes off as more of a victim, but anyone, under the right circumstance, can we pushed beyond the breaking point. And we know from Canon that her prophetic skills are rather erratic, but we are never really shown what the scope of her magical skills is. She may always have been a very powerful witch who just never used her power very much. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
delightful twists! Thanks for sharing this tale.-Wahoo
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I'm so glad you're enjoy the ride. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Author may yet salvage this situation.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Oh, I think the Wizengamot will follow Arthur's lead and do the right thing. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
That Rita, she's always trying to put a spin on things!I actually feel a bit sorry for Arthur, he was trying to do what was best for his world, not knowing about all the false information. I hope that Severus and Hermione are going to stay together after all this.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Yes, Rita likes to inflate her own importance ... until that starts to reflect badly on her -- then she's just as eager to blame some one else!Yes, Arthur's intentions were good ... he was just far too naive and trusting of the wrong person. The fate of Hermione's and Snape's marriage under duress will be revealed in the next (last) chapter. Please check back soon! Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Was Arthur imperiused. He seems a bit daft.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Well, he's always bit a bit ... distracted. But, yes, he was Imperiused. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
