Variety Challenge Winner... The Wizengamot has finally done it! They've gone and passed the Marriage and Baby Law. Neither Severus Snape nor Hermione Granger is happy with the choice made for them by the Ministry, so they hatch an elaborate scheme to thwart the new law--by marrying each other!

I am in my late 50's and I didn't even start reading Harry Potter until after the third book came out. My granddaughter got me 'hooked on Potter,' and while surfing the net one day, I found a fanfiction site. That was it! My first story, "Renaissance," was published on Ashwinder a month later and I've been writing ever since. I am primarily a HG/SS shipper, but I also enjoy reading and writing RL/SS. I live in Tampa, Florida with my wonderfully adoring and supportive husband, and three completely spoiled cats. (Kallie, Mysha, and Smudge {who was the inspiration for the cat that Severus gives Hermione in my story "Renaissance."}) I'm always happy to correspond with my readers and I answer ALL reviews. I'm always looking for plot-bunnies, so feel free to throw some ideas out.

Well the wedding night's half over, now for the return to Britain... The IUD is a good touch and him commenting he'd tell them she had an STD - typical!Can't wait to see what comes next.

Oh yes, I loved this! Not in love quite yet, but with the agreement to make the best of the situation, just as two adults with a common sense would do. I loved the "twice on sundays" comment, that made me smile. Now I can't wait for that wedding-coordinator to get the news and for us to find out just who that person are (Not Rita Scheeter is it?)

Oh, this is by far my favorite chapter yet. I love the dialogue between the two! I would point out everything I love about this chapter but I am sure there is some sort of word limit that I would no doubt exceed. So suffice it to say, fantastic chapter!!! Incidentally, you have me so on edge that something bad is going to happen each chapter, and it never does! You're killing me. Not that I mind the fact that all is going well... it is my wish for them to stay drama free. I need to go back and reread this chapter, now having the knowledge that it ends well... really well ;)

Oh, that was so delicious. Especially the part where she kissed his neck and scar. Their admissions to one another about enjoying being married was quite nice too.

The witness doesn't guarantee that the wedding won't be challenged, but it does make it more unlikely that the Wizengamot or the Ministry or that nasty Special Coordinator would win such a challenge.Thank you for reading and reviewing.
Oh thank goodness, after your responce to my last comment I feared the Ministry breaking in on them before they could consummate the marriage. NOW, for sure they are legally married. :)

For this inconvenient marriage, they really seem to be enjoying the celebrations. I love how easygoing Snape is with his old friend. Martin brings out a side in him that no one else gets to see.
