Variety Challenge Winner... The Wizengamot has finally done it! They've gone and passed the Marriage and Baby Law. Neither Severus Snape nor Hermione Granger is happy with the choice made for them by the Ministry, so they hatch an elaborate scheme to thwart the new law--by marrying each other!

I am in my late 50's and I didn't even start reading Harry Potter until after the third book came out. My granddaughter got me 'hooked on Potter,' and while surfing the net one day, I found a fanfiction site. That was it! My first story, "Renaissance," was published on Ashwinder a month later and I've been writing ever since. I am primarily a HG/SS shipper, but I also enjoy reading and writing RL/SS. I live in Tampa, Florida with my wonderfully adoring and supportive husband, and three completely spoiled cats. (Kallie, Mysha, and Smudge {who was the inspiration for the cat that Severus gives Hermione in my story "Renaissance."}) I'm always happy to correspond with my readers and I answer ALL reviews. I'm always looking for plot-bunnies, so feel free to throw some ideas out.

Have mercy on us all and let them get married already!Loved the spa day...it was almost as good as actually enjoying a spa day myself. I'm so excited to see Severus' reaction to Hermione's dress, hair and makeup. He's so cute when he's flustered. And I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and for Aurors to spring out from behind the potted plants or something.Awaiting the next chapter quite anxiously!

What a splendid way to spend the hours before her wedding. How thoughtful of Severus to give her flowers. Maybe this marriage will work out after all. That is... if they have a wedding! I'm waiting for that interruption during the "does anyone object to this marriage?" part. I just have a hunch, you know? LOLLovely chapter.

Oi, this chapter had me expecting a disaster from the onset all the way through. It did not come and I'm more than a little bit disturbed. The calmness of their Cyprus stay, the perfection of everything just screams trouble ahead. Where is it? Will it hurt too much? Will they have to fight desperately for their marriage? This does not seem like a cliffhanger in conventional sense, but to me it turned out as a huge one.Let's see the next chapter already.

Wow... points to your house for that lightening fast update. This is fun as always. Why on Earth did they wait until evening to get married? If they had planned it for first thing in the morning then they would already be married and there would be no chance for trouble. And the story would undoubtedly be a lot shorter I guess. Still, as close as they are to wedding time, there is still opportunity for trouble to work it's evil way into their lives. Let's hope the wedding is in the next chapter!?!?!?

The story is complete, so updates should continue to go rather quickly. Though if I remember correctly, there may be a stretch when no updating is allowed. Maybe during voting? I'll have to go back and check the rules.They had to plan the ceremony for Saturday evening because that was the only time the Marriage Officer could squeeze them in. His schedule was full!And yes, that leaves all day Saturday for things to go wrong.
