I am in my late 50's and I didn't even start reading Harry Potter until after the third book came out. My granddaughter got me 'hooked on Potter,' and while surfing the net one day, I found a fanfiction site. That was it! My first story, "Renaissance," was published on Ashwinder a month later and I've been writing ever since. I am primarily a HG/SS shipper, but I also enjoy reading and writing RL/SS. I live in Tampa, Florida with my wonderfully adoring and supportive husband, and three completely spoiled cats. (Kallie, Mysha, and Smudge {who was the inspiration for the cat that Severus gives Hermione in my story "Renaissance."}) I'm always happy to correspond with my readers and I answer ALL reviews. I'm always looking for plot-bunnies, so feel free to throw some ideas out.

LOL. Martin is so funny! :)
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I'm so glad you like him. Introducing OC's can be tricky. I really like him, too, though. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Wow, what a quick update. And they're finally married! Hopefully the Marriage maven won't be able to do anything about it. I'm sure he/she will try. Really, though. I wish these two would realize that this marriage isn't just in name only. They may not be madly in love yet, but they do like each other more than they think.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
The admins have been great about quick updates. The work tirelessly, and I'm grateful for the work they do.Cheers to them! The 'marriage maven' -- wish I'd thought of that title!Yes, they do like each other ... they basically conceded that pont to Filius way back when they first agreed to become betrothed. And the marriage really is a marriage of convenience ... isn't it?I hope you'll keep reading to find out. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Loved it! I'm so glad they are officially married. I was so afraid someone from the ministry was going to show up and put a stop to their ceremony!
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Well, in the wizarding world (in my version of it, anyway), the marriage isn't legal until it's consummated. Who knows what might happen before then!I guess you'll just have to come back and find out ...Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Response from magalena (Reviewer)
OMG! Don't even think about it! You evil, evil author!!Well, then hurry up and update to put me out of my misery.
Yeah, they made it! Now lets hope the ministry flunkies don't come swarming into the bedroom. That would be awkward. I love that they went to a place where they knew noone and ended up with a nice wedding reception of sorts anyway. I'm thinking happy thoughts for them as they begin their honeymoon.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I'm so glad you enjoyed it.But, you're right! Who knows what that evil Ministry might do!I hope you'll come back and find out. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
I liked Ilyssa.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I"m so glad. OC's are always tricky. The characters of Potterverse are so well-known and (mostly) well-liked that it's difficult to introduce new characters. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
The wedding was lovely, and the dinner was hysterically funny.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
"Opa!"I'm so glad you enjoyed. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Just lovely! I must admit, I teared up just a bit when they exchanged wedding vows. *sniffles*Love the quick updates too. * eagerly awaits the wedding night chapter*
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
The story is complete, so updates should be quite regular. We're a bit more than halfway through the story, so there's still lots of action ahead. The vows, with some very minor changes, were taken from the actual civic ceremony performed in Cyprus. I was amazed at just how beautiful and appropriate the service was for our couple.Oh, and BTW ... who said anything about a wedding night? The Aurors could be waiting for them at the hotel!I guess you'll have to check back to find out. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
So is the wedding night next? Wouldn't want any ministry interference.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
That danged Ministry ... there's no telling where they'll pop up next is there? I guess you'll have to come back to the story to find out. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Wonderful update, I had a big grin on my face while reading. I must say I like Martin:-))
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I'm glad you liked Severus's cousin. I'm always a little hesitant to introduce OC's, but sometimes you really need them. I usually keep them a bit low key, but I still want to give them some personality. Happy to know I succeeded. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Yeah! I'm so happy they are married! I''m glad it went off without a hitch!
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Me, too ... what a relief! Thanks for reading and reviewing.
OMG!! I can't believe they're finally married. The special marriage officer, or whatever you called it, will be very disapointed... Or enraged maybe *grin* Now let's go to the wedding night. Can I hope for some lemons ? *hopeful puppy eyes*
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Yes, they're finally married. As to the wedding night ... well ... who knows what may happen. Maybe the Special Coordinator got wind of their scheme somehow ... maybe the Aurors are on their way even as Hermione and Snape are eating baklava! Oh, the suspense is killing me! (oh, wait ... I wrote the story ... I know what happens next ...)Evil Author cackles maniacally! And don't look at me with those puppy eyes!lolThanks for reading and reviewing.
Whew... I'm glad they at least managed to get married, though I'm sure you'll have a few problems in store for them. But not before they've enjoyed their wedding night, I hope. With a proper motivation to stay married they´ll be better able to tackle this mysterious person at the Ministry.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Yes, finally married. But will the Wizengamot allow the marriage to stand? And what will happen to Hermone's and Snape's erstwhile spouses?I hope you'll come back and find out.Thank you for reading and reviewing.
Very sweet! I'm SO looking forward to the wedding night...
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I'm sure Hermione and Severus are, as well! Let's hope that pesky Ministry keeps out of it, huh? Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Fantastic! Sentimental without being gooey, funny while still honoring the day. Great job!
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I appreciate your kind words. I never want to write 'gooey' unless it's on purpose! Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Hmm lovely wedding and feast. I like how she informs him she won't look like this on a regular basis and he reminds her that he's seen her at her worst. Well done, can't wait to see what happens next. And of course how it all goes once they get back to Britain.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I'm so glad you enjoyed. Who knows what'll happen next! (Well, I know, of course, but I'm not saying.)Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Whew! I am much relieved the wedding went off without a hitch. What a lovely little Cyprian wedding. What's in store for the wedding night, dear author?
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I'm glad you liked the wedding ceremony. Actually, with just a very few changes, this really is the wedding service for a marriage on Cyprus. The Internet can tell you call kinds of things! As for the wedding night ... well, all kinds of things can happen, can't they? (We all know the Ministry can do stupid things.)Please come back and find out for yourself what's in store for our couple. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
dammit i thought they were going to be married in this chapter! alas! it will happen in the next chapter, yes? :Dcant waitand i can almost imagine just how beautiful hermione looks. i wonder if severus chose the color of his suit on purpose, or if he just got really super duper lucky that it matches hermione's dress?
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Severus never saw Hermione's dress. I think maybe he just got tired of black ... or maybe that suit was the only one which could be altered in time for the wedding. As to a wedding in the next chapter ... why don't you come back and find out? lolI'm glad you're enjoying my tale. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
see, he's nervous! if he didnt really love her, he wouldnt be nervous, would he? :D oh, and the commentary between philip and martin was absolutely hilarious!! i laughed for quite a while lol
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm always a bit hesitant about introducting OC's, but sometimes they're needed. Severus Snape is nervouse? When did that happen??Thanks for reading and reviewing.
they cant divorce. not when theyre already falling in love. if they havent been in love with each other already.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Their marriage really is just a ploy to thwart the Ministry and to protest a law they feel is unjust. They don't love each other ... do they?I guess you'll just have to come back and find out. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Ok, so I opened this up and thought... they'd better get married. But then I saw where you started and thought... Not this chapter! But it was a lovely day for Hermione an dI must say, Severus' second note was so very sweet and romantic, whether he realizes it or not.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
He's just a big pile of mush, isn't he? lolSorry to have to delay the wedding at least one more chapter, but I thought it only fair that we should see how Hermione spent her day. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Well, he might not have written a love note, but the flowers were a really thoughtful gesture. I hope the quick updating is becoming a habit! I really expected an evil move on your part such as leaving the wedding to the next chapter. You didn't prove me wrong :( I also expected something sinister all throughout and was pleasantly surprised. Oh, I hope the wedding at least happens before the ministry causes trouble! Although she doesn't seem to know it, this will be her only wedding and she really deserves to enjoy it.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
Chapter Seven is now up, so you can see for yourself if they got 'safely' married.I'm happy to know you're enjoying the story. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
This chapter was incredibly beautiful - for more personal reasons than I should explain here. *kisses to all your muses. You made me cry with the joy and beuaty of the scene you created.
Response from StormySkize (Author of The Best Laid Schemes)
What a lovely compliment. I wish you peace, and I hope that things ... whatever those things are ... are going smoothly for you now. It's always gratifying to know that my work touches other's emotions. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
I agree; I could -so- use a day like that. I will also add the pleasepleaseplease update soon from the group as well...
