I like the notes almost as much as the story.  Especially all the mythology stuff which a love but haven't read in a long time so have forgotten much of it.

I absolutely am with you with your request, but it's a fact that it's usually only the wee, pretty, kitty ones that inspire the wish to do something about the problem... no criticism meant, just wanted to point that out *continues scratching the favourite spots of two former unwanted/ill kitties* ;o)

Author's Response: I didn't mean to differentiate between healthy and ill kitties - they're all loves, really.  *scritches your kitties*  My not-so-wee lass was abandoned and is positive for FIV, and she's a joy.

Seems Severus has counted too much on events that could have gone askew, as they did. Didn't it ever occur to him that Hermione perhaps wouldn't get is clues due to some circumstances? *scratches head*
