Reviews for The Wayward Wand
Did I just read the you are working on an LM...in cuffs??!! Can Severus watch? Can we watch Severus watching?
Response from Hechicera (Author of The Wayward Wand)
Well, oddly enough...yes and no. And let me just say, that chapter's kinda dark, not a whole lot of humor there (except for a few, er, tiny bits). That chapter's done, and in beta, but my beta reader is having some computer-disaster problems at the moment, so it may be a bit before it gets posted.Meanwhile, I'm working on illustrations for the cards, which is turning out to be lots of fun. You can see Snape's if you go over to DeviantArt and search for "Wayward Wand."
Is Hastings based on Jeeves, or Poirot's friend, Hastings, or is he maybe a combo? His manner of speaking is spot on Jeeves. Then there is 'I Can't Belive It's Not Pussy', that one had me laughing out loud uncontrollably. I don't know if you are old enough to remember 'It's not nice to fool Mother nature'. Look it up on YouTube, I'd give you the link, but I don't know if it's permitted.

Oh, if he resembles Jeeves, that's high praise indeed. I did mean for him to be a bit of a butler parody. And yes, I do remember the "Mother Nature" ads I DID have fun with that brand name, I must confess.
Funny... Hastings, make yourself useful and come in here a moment, would you?” lol I love snarky humor.

I have to give RedSkyAtNight credit for making me rewrite that particular line.Snark my specialty
Me likey...I look forward to reading future chapters. I'm a little confused (and curious) about one point, however. The fifty-five Galleon prize for the first girl who manages to FTPB...why have none of them succeeded yet after twelve years of visits every other week?? Is it because his life as a double agent makes him too suspicious to trust any of them that far, because none of them can stomach the idea of doing it with the Greasy Git...or (*ahem*) because Severus's nose isn't the only thing on his body which happens to be oversized??
Response from Hechicera (Author of The Wayward Wand)
Nope, in my world Snape is averagely endowed, with a slight curve upwards. And he likes a straightforward blow job--because that way he can be "faithful" to the memory of Lily.Because, let's face it, the man has Issues.
Response from MlleGigi (Reviewer)
Ah, I see -- as is no doubt obvious by now, that possibility hadn't occurred to me (although it probably should have). Given that this site is devoted primarily to the HG/SS ship, I guess I tend to automatically assume that the stories here are not DH-compliant unless the author specifically states otherwise...so it never entered my mind that your Severus was still devoted to Lily and remaining faithful to her (at least in a manner of speaking). Does this mean that your Snape is at least technically still a virgin, then? Thanks for clearing up the matter of Severus's behavior. Oh, yes...that man has more issues than Reader's Digest!
Response from Hechicera (Author of The Wayward Wand)
Well, it's not exactly DH-compliant either. It's a spinoff of a SS/OC fic I wrote called Soroche, also published on this site (shameless plug). As to whether Snape is "technically" still a virgin--by which I assume you mean he hasn't had vaginal intercourse--I'm not really invested in that one way or the other. More important to me is the idea (and this is explored more fully in the other fic) that he prefers impersonal sex with a minimum of vulnerability. And blowjobs, plus the "occasional wank," fit the bill nicely.
Interesting start. I'd have never thought Snape was so creative...

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
That's a very interesting beginning. I'll look forward to more. And who's getting to fuck the potions bloke?
Response from Hechicera (Author of The Wayward Wand)
We can all dream
Interesting! I like the idea of the oldest profession exisiting in the magical community too! More!

This was born out of a plot bunny that surfaced while I was writing Soroche. There's a late chapter where it's revealed that Snape has been in the habit of frequenting a brothel after Order meetings, instead of staying to dinner, and the instant I wrote it I thought, there's a whole nother story...
Holy crap that was hot. (And hilarious in places!)
