Hello all, I am a 53 year old from NZ. Although SSHG is how I started and still my main pairing, I'll give pretty much any pairing a try, whether it be reading or writing. Sev and Herms need a bit of variety at times. ;)

Why do people always tell Hermione that she'll have to consummate the marriage as if she doesnt know that? Why? WHY????
Author's Response: Why do you keep typing why? Are you a three year old? Hmm. But, mummy, whyyyy? :P
The boys aren't as enamored of Hermione's and Severus' propensity for sex as the newly weds and the readers are. Ah well, can't please everyone. Harry is embarrassed for them, and Ron is jealous because "they are getting so much damn sex."
Hermione's fruitless search for her husband had me chuckling behind my hand. She needed to warn him that their petite lurv in the Potions classroom was being "rumored" about the castle like a wildfire before the wind. When she had finally given up, he found her. When they finally made it to the Staff Table, Minerva took her pound of flesh in such a funny way I had to laugh. "Now, I suggest you two children ensure doors are locked and warded before you participate in any further amorous interludes. We do not want the students thinking that sort of behaviour is acceptable.”
I'm glad that Ginny picked up on the fact that Hermione was spending an awful lot of her evening time visiting with her instead of being with her husband. When Hermione went back to Severus, they had a good talk about what each wanted and expected, and then they had fun, fun, fun of the lemony kind.
Those fantasies they talked about for the next Potions class were delicious to ponder, and I was a little sad that they decided it would be too dangerous to carry through with them in a room full of students brewing. *sigh* Well, maybe they can act out their fantasies in the classroom after all classes are over. Hey! There's an idea!
I love this story and look forward to every update! Thanks, mystery author.Beth

Funnily enough, several people want them to act out those fantasies...
Poor Severus has had to put up with a multitude of bad puns and teasing by his colleagues, and I thought every last one of them had something hilarious to say. Even Minerva, "
When Severus woke the next morning to find a naked Hermione draped over his equally naked body he realized that he was, against everything life had taught him to expect, falling in love with a beautiful woman who loved him in return. And with that knowledge "Severus Snape was poised to take a blind leap of faith into the abyss of love, and he was terrified."
I adored their first Potions class since their wedding. Even with Miss Parkinson's unkind comment, the time was put to "special use," that is until the Potions Master realized that he and his wife had been observed by third year Ravenclaws standing in the door of the classroom. His "blatant thrusts" from between Hermione's legs and his explosive orgasm can now be attested to by those same students. Oh yes, and one more thing, the best gossip next to Lavender Brown was in that class. Oh My God! Severus is going to be sooooooo embarrassed. Triple LOL!
This was a very fun chapter, and I loved all the teasing. Thanks!Beth

Thanks, Beth. It was fun to write!
OMG! That shower scene was hawt, hawt, hawt. What a lovely way to start the second day of your married life! I see Severus still had a little insecurity about why Hermione married him... but I think she "put those fears to bed" with her passionate declarations that the more she learns about him, that more she likes what she sees.
I had to laugh when Severus told his bride that she could tell Ginny about what a good lover he is. But then I asked myself, "why not?" Girls talk just like guys talk, so why not tell her to feel free to talk to Ginny... just do so in the privacy of her old rooms. Works for me.
Harry and Ron were funny trying to imagine how their friend's and their Professor's wedding night had progressed. They were as curious as Ginny, but didn't want to think about "it." LOL!
When Hermione told her friend how many times they had made love since their wedding ceremony I thought Ginny expressed her (and my own) reaction very well: “From prude to proud, in two short weeks. You should congratulate yourself, Hermione.” Yes! Yes! Yes!
Thanks for such a great chapter.Beth

Thanks, Beth. You always write the bestest reviews! :)
Oh, very good! Ginny is a wise friend. Every Hermione should be so lucky as to have a Ginny to keep her in line. Awesome chapter!

Thank, Merrin. :)
A pity indeed. They may just have to wait for the holidays to play out any potions classroom fantasies. I am glad they are able to comunicatae with each othe to resolve their relationship issues.

They may. Or not...

Thanks. *waves*
wow, they're one happy couple, and bloody lucky, too. I wonder what Snape did that made M.M. so forgiving, maybe we could get a glimpse into her thoughts?onsidering their upbringing, I'm not surprised Ron is more perceptive and understanding than Harry. But Ginny is priceless!!
Response from sunny33 (Author of Marriage by Numbers)
Minerva is just relieved that Severus and Hermione are getting on so well. Although if they did it again she may not be so forgiving!
Harry walking around in stunned denial is so sad. Ron has more sense? Somehow that just seems backward! LOL I loved how GInny called Severus to the rug! and Minerva's scolding, er, acceptance, admonishment -- was funny. Too bad they won't be acting out their demands in the classromm. That would be funny. Hey, they could take turns! Hers on Monday, his on... when's Double Potions?
Response from sunny33 (Author of Marriage by Numbers)
You have an evil mind. I like it!
While I like the Snape/Hermione relationship in this story, what seals the deal for me is the Ginny/Snape relationship. I love that she can give him hell and he takes it without repercussion. I think she could get away with teasing him more than Hermione could. So glad that McGonagall was so forgiving. Honestly, she is probably just so glad that Snape is getting some action that she is willing to turn a blind eye. I am glad that they were able to talk things out before it got ugly. And the classroom fantasy... wowza! It really might not be safe. I guess she could just serve a really wicked detention instead... after locking and warding, of course... please ;)
Response from sunny33 (Author of Marriage by Numbers)
I'm pleased you like Ginny/Snape. I wanted him to have a friend who wasn't his love interest.
I simply love it!A really mild verdict by Ginny and McGonnagal.well, all school knowing about their misbehaviour is penalty enough.I like it, how Ron takes it all. And I definitely like the conversations between Ginny and Hermione and Ginny and Prof. Snape.heheshe doen't mince matters. And fine, that the two of them at last spoke about who belongs where at what time. They want to spend time together.well, if that is love, what more do they need.they finally have found each other.nice and cosy. And Snape finally discovered his sexy side and broadens his horizon on that matter extremely.nice phantasies.and Hermiones objection is bone-dry.

Thanks for the review!
ohhh....that was hot. i need a cigarette. and, and, and.... crap.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Marriage by Numbers)
LOL. Thanks!
Surely there's a potion or two that requires a great deal of attention but isn't dangerous or potentially explosive if brewed incorrectly? But then perhaps the fantasy is all they need anyway....
Response from sunny33 (Author of Marriage by Numbers)
Hmm. There's a thought... or something that will cause great outcrops of warts if brewed wrongly, and the students get to test it on themselves. That'll make 'em pay attention!
It's good that they are starting to communicate, it's so important in any relationship, and what relationship is more important than marriage?
Response from sunny33 (Author of Marriage by Numbers)
True. Thanks for reviewing!
Afraid of detentions, is he? Well, as long as Ginny isn't in charge, he needn't be :-)Lovely update, hot and funny.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Marriage by Numbers)
LOL, true. Ginny might be a little scary!
As if they aren't distracted already. Great chapter.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Marriage by Numbers)
Thank you!
That Slytherin tongue could get him into all sorts of bother!
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
Yep.
Wonder if those kids will need counselling?
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
Or hypnosis? You did not see Professor Snape coming. You did NOT see...
Ah, it seems I was wrong about Minerva`s reaction...good for our couple.....I thought there was some trouble on the way after the last chapter. Another nice update, can`t wait for more!
Response from sunny33 (Author of Marriage by Numbers)
Thanks, ginny!
amusing as ever, another lovely chapter!Much later, she whispered into his chest, “You do realise we can’t fulfil any of those fantasies in the Potions classroom, don’t you, Severus?”“Mmm,” he murmured, half asleep. “Minerva would give us both detentions.”“No. I meant it would be far too dangerous to be that distracted while the class is brewing complicated potions.”“Pity.” Pity is right! ;)
Response from sunny33 (Author of Marriage by Numbers)
Yes. But there are always other times...
Extreme pity I might add. But they can always fulfill their fantasy after classes are done... One little thing is nagging at me: did they forget about the procreation part of their initial binding? Or is she going to be pregnant soon? Because I so love Daddy!Snape
Response from sunny33 (Author of Marriage by Numbers)
*looks around furtively* Shhhh!
