"A Murder of Crows" was my first foray into fan-fiction, and I treasure the lessons I've learned while posting it.

wow, that was horrible. I think i would kick him if i could. what a jerk. He wouldn't even let her explain and then he says she'll never feel loved because she's not lily? what a horrible thing to say to somebody! I think i'd shoot him! ok, that would be over reacting, but i'd at least slap him! uncalled for! grr... I love severus, but that was totally out of line. but so was her keeping the memories. anyways, i can't wait to read more, please post more soon!

He's not a nice man at times, and this happened to be one of those times. Um ... Death Eater! It was a tough scene; they both said and did things I think they'll regret for a very long time. For the most part, though, Snape is very careful with his words. His comments generally can be taken in more ways than one, and I believe you'll find this to be true with the statement he made about Lily.Thank you for reading, and for leaving a review! I appreciate the feedback.

Wow... I just found this story. I have no idea how I have been missing it. I'm both glad to have found it and utterly crushed to have found it when this chapter didn't have another posted after it! This was agonizing. I have no idea how either of them are ever going to trust the other. I'll be curious and hopeful to see how things are patched up. Please don't leave us hanging with this type of chapter... We need to know what happens next! You are incredibly talented and have written things so well!

My apologies for the delay in responding to this review! Real life has had the audacity to remove me from fan-fiction for awhile, but I'm back now, and ready to jump back into this story. Thanks so much for your review on this chapter and the lovely stars!! I'm so sorry you came across the story when this was the last chapter posted ... It would be a difficult note to end on! Hopefully, the next chapter was not seriously delayed ... I'm answering reviews oldest to newest, so perhaps I'll see your review on the next chapter and ascertain your opinion on whether they're working things out ...

Thank you for reading ... I realize angst can be difficult to read, and it requires faith in the author to make it right in the end. Hopefully, I will not disappoint on that count ...Thanks again!

You are right, it was a tad tragic, but all couples hurt one another at one point or another. It's going to be interesting to see how they work things out. After all, Snape has never been the most forgiving person at first response, especially after all that he's gone through. Look forward to your next chapter.

Thanks so much! I apologize for the delay in responding to reviews, but I appreciate your comments very much. I agree with you ... Snape is not the most forgiving person around. I think there are some very dark elements to his personality that allowed him to be a Death Eater for so long. And they've both wronged the other here, each in their own way. How they move past this will be the most telling aspect of their relationship. Thanks again for the review and stars!

Umm ... Death Eater!(Sorry ... I can't get the image of Captain Jack Sparrow pointing to himself and saying, "Pirate!" out of my head. And it just seems so fitting here ...)

I loved this chapter! At last we find out what happened at Arglist. The reveal was a little less climactic than I expected, but the fallout hasn't arrived yet. While the fight was unfortunate, Im' happy it happened if only because I know that the story will last longer. :) It will be interesting watching them make up because they live and work together.

Truly tragic. They are so broken, mired in secrets and self-loathing and betrayal. As much as they take it out on each other, they are far harder on themselves. She abused his memories, and he found out by abusing hers (albeit with permission). She ought to have thought twice before letting him into her head. Or her heart. He should have known better than to go rooting around in either. And yet... what he says about her not being Lily is true. He said the words to hurt her, but I don't think he meant them the way she heard them. It is impossible to be loved in the way someone else has. It does not preclude being loved or loving in a totally different way. I wonder how long it will take her to figure that out - if, in fact, he lets her.As always, your story is complex, realistic, unflinching and powerful. Bravo, my dear. You are one heck of a writer.

Chilling chapter. I loved the misunderstanding Lucius created because it will be quite exciting to see how Hermione and Severus will bring him down.
