I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

it just keeps getting better

Doesn't it though? They're so fun together. Of course, Severus will be a hard nut to crack, and it will take Hermione a lot of work to get him.

Hermione really needs someone who can understand her. Hmm, who could that be?

Cool. I think Sev isstarting to warm to her abit,. At least he seems to be relaxing a bit around her. Maybe his hermitage is drawing to a close?
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
He is starting to get a bit close, but I don't think he's willing to lose his hermit-like existence yet!

Thanks! They do seem to be getting along well. As well as can be expected with Snark-man as your companion.

Perhaps she could dress him up for the trip ;)
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Hmm, that would be interesting. But I think he'd take offense. After all, he can dress himself. (And quite well, when he puts his mind to it.)

Yes, they are getting sidetracked. Severus incognito as Bruce Wayne... Polyjuice Potion! Just snag a random blokes hair and gulp it down - better than a bat mask and cape!
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Yes, you would think that sidetracked would be good. But you never know in the Wizarding world, now do you? As for our Dark Knight, Hermione can make random comments like, when they find the book she can yell, "Holy ancient tomes, Batman!"When they Apparate, there can be little words left behind like, Boff, Bam, Pow.Or in a more modern version, Severus can jump around corners and yell in people's faces, "I'm Batman!"

That was cute. I like how easily his feathers are ruffled.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Oh, he's very insecure and oversensitive. If I hadn't spoken to anyone in five years, I might be too. The man truly needs help to lighten up. Hopefully, Hermione can give that to him.

Hermione's teasing Severus about clothes was kind of funny, but so unlike her. Where is her sense of humor coming from? Has the war changed her this much?
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Thanks for reviewing all six chapters. I really appreciate it! I guess it is unlike her. I kind of want this story to be a bit more lighthearted, considering the prompt. (Not that it won't have its bit of adventure and, I want to say angst, but I'm not quite sure it's quite that serious.) So, again, I think that it goes back to her thinking she deserves to be pampered. She's seen it all and lived the worst of it all. She deserves a good life. She's not that teenager who had her nose in a book constantly anymore. She realizes life is too short to not enjoy it. (Thus the millions of boyfriends.) She's matured into a woman who isn't that insecure young lady who couldn't even flirt with Ron. She likes herself, so she can now laugh at herself, and thus can joke around, even with Snape. I hope that makes sense. It does in my scatterbrained mind, but who knows what the translation into real thought is.

Seeing where you are coming from certainly helped me sort the story out better. Now it makes more sense. Thanks.

The almost 1000 yr old diary was interesting. Why is Severus willing to share it though?
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
He's willing to share it because Hermione has peaked his interest. If he can help with the diary, then he can actually see and touch what will certainly become the most sought after tome in history.

nice chapter, Severus was as bitter and nasty as ever.

I do believe Severus will have bug bears. I like the logical flow in this chapter. If any one can help Hermione find this book (if it really exists) it would be Severus or one of his contacts.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
He's really a logical choice, even if she didn't have the hots for him.

I find it hard to believe that Hermione has become such a clothes horse. I know you cited it as an indulgence but it seems a bit strange. I do love the fact that she is still smart as a whip.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
That was the most challenging thing for me with this prompt. I've never written an Hermione who is so grounded in the materialistic things of this world. That said, it has been a blast. My take is that Hermione went through horrible things during the war and she feels that she deserves to pamper herself a bit because of all that she's been through. She is often in the public eye and wants her best foot forward, so to speak.

Hmm I can totally see Hermione owning and operating a book store and comparing her to Indiana Jones is funny. Even though she didn't have adventures looking for her books, she certainly had them in Hogwarts.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
She did, and the papers continue to give her many, even though her 'adventures' now really aren't all that exciting.

Umm umm umm umm umm.... Severus Snape in dark gray slacks and a navy shirt, with sunglasses and his hair tied back..... What I wouldn't give to see that!!!This chapter is so much fun! Not only are they working on the Potions of our Time project, now they are working on locating Incantations for Potions for Severus!!! AND Snape is going to accompany Hermione to Leeds! Woot! I wonder if someone will recognize him going into or leaving the university library? There have to be a few complications, right?I laughed when Hermione "pulled his leg" about her tastes in clothes shopping. (I wonder what Severus would have done if she had literally pulled his leg? I'm have bad thoughts now, aren't I? *Sigh*)Great chapter!Beth

You made me blush! Lol. Hermione knows that now's not quite the time to pull his leg. ROFL. Between Hermione's lavish wardrobe and Severus' outings incognito, this fic will be redubbed the 'fashion plate' fic soon. There's more non black attire for him to come. I think his best outfit will be... well, I can't say, because that's a few chapters ahead. (And no, it's not his birthday suit! Shame on you for thinking that!)As for complications, there will be some in the next chapter, but it won't involve being recognized.

*mega squee* You're absolutely right they're spending time with one another and it's all that mattered. And Severus is so cute when he believes her little prank on clothes. So very disapointed he was. Poor thing.

Yes, now he will fume for the rest of the evening, because he's just that snarky.

Thanks. It is a rather lighthearted romp. The book search in the next chappie will bring them a bit of adventure and some more serious stuff.
