I live in Virginia with my husband and 2 children. I make pottery, but, thanks to Harry Potter, I have rediscovered a passion for writing.

Is Dumbledore trying to seduce Sienna's mum, or just keep her busy hmm?
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
I first wrote this long before the revelation that Dumbledore was gay. I left it in because even though I implied that something happened, it could have been that they just enjoyed each other's company. But the idea that he would keep her busy so Severus could have some much needed quality time alone with Sienna is also a great theory. Thanks!

What, did she get herself locked out without a wand?
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
You'll see! It has nothing to do with being locked out.
I like the multiple attempts at writing the owl letter
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
Thanks for your comments. When I write an important letter, I usually struggle to find just the right words. I figured with his inner emotional struggle, he would do the same thing.
fits in with canon so well! very clever
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
Thanks so much. The big challenge of this entire story was to make it conform to canon. I think I did a pretty good job with that, but readers have caught me in mistakes, so if you see a place where I contradict canon, please don't hesitate to point it out!
Clever Sienna!
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
He needed an emotional whipping to realize what a jerk he was being!
Severus is such an idiot, but he appears to be learning. Good chapter, I like that Dumbledore froze him out.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
I feel that the 2-D version of DD would not rat out his friends any more than the 3-D version would.Glad you liked the chapter,
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
. This was one of my favorites. I have jumped to the wrong conclusion many times in my life, and really stumbled off a cliff as a result! So it is a valuable lesson for anyone, but especially our dear Severus.
Excellent chapter! One can only help that Severus actually will learn. He really does has tremendous blind spots, as you showed quite well. Lucky Serverus for having a mentor to guide him through the necessary life questions and call him on any dishonest answers. As for Sienna, I don't see how she can be so forgiving and understanding. As spiritually in tune as she is, she's still human. So, "Something beyond your control will happen that will cause her pain, but hurting her will not be your desire or intention.” Hum. I'm wondering what that might be.Good job!
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
Remember, this story follows canon. (Hint as to the event beyond Sev's control). And also remember that Sienna can see into Sev's soul, and she can read his mind. Forgiveness is her very nature. It would take someone like that to put up with his bouts of apparent selfishness and cruelty. We as readers know that most of it is an act, but he plays the part so well that the average story character would be fooled by it.Thanks so much for sticking with this story. This is one of my favorite chapters. I'm glad that you liked it. :)
Good chapter. I enjoyed the hospital detail, and the Headmaster's RoR is clever. The next chapter will have a marriage proposal? Hum. If they marry, will that be difficult to hide from Voldy and the MoM?Curious as to how Sienna knew about how to request a special room. How much did DD tell her? Does she even need a portrait to communicate with him? I wonder what that half-death experience gave her.Update soon.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
Sienna still needs a Portrait to communicate with Dumbledore, but that will come into play soon enough. And most, if not all, of your other questions will be answered in the next couple of chapters. You won't have to wait very long for an update. I will submit the next chapter today. Thanks for your comments, as always,

Aha! The castle came up with the goods!
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
Yes, the castle finally delivered, but there is more in that room than Severus knows about - yet...Thanks, as always for sticking with me.

Another wonderful chapter, but now I can't decide which story I want you to update first! Is he going to marry her? I loved the Hat's song. Also, Draco as target practice is inspired.

Hi
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
. I'm glad that you are reading both stories. This one was my first. I finished it months ago and send in the chapters as my beta gets them back to me. We agreed a while back to one chapter per week from each story, but sometimes one or the other of us falls behind because RL gets in our way. This is by far the more serious of the two stories, with lots of angst, and UST. It even has a spiritual theme that leans towards the east. I wanted to emphasize reincarnation and universal oneness of spirit in the hope that people would want to learn more, or at least open their minds to the possibilities. But if they only want to enjoy the story without any lessons, that's fine to. Its main mission is to entertain. And yes, they will get married. I don't have the "explicit sexual content" warning on this story for nothing!

Ah, ha! Sienna's method of overcoming Avada Kedavra nicely ties back to what she said in a previous chapter about her father's soul being scared out of his body. Her unique value is now explained, but where is she going to go? (I'm just ever so slightly curious about that.) I assume Severus will keep her in hiding, possibly somewhere in the castle? Or will she move into Grimmauld Place where she can train the Order? Hum. Perhaps live in both places? I'm sure Severus would love to have her in his quarters. On the relationship front, good for Severus to finally tell her how he feels. Still, does it take her death for him to verbalize? If he keeps that up, he's well on his way to contuing regrets. And yes, it was clever of you to pre-determine JK Rawling's method of having Harry die and bringing him back.Wonderful as always! Looking forward to the next chapter.

Wow! So many new questions,
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
. They will all be answered in the next couple of chapters.Severus had so much going on in his life that he was afraid of getting too close to Sienna and putting her in danger. But now that the cat is out of the bag, he won't be so uptight about admitting his feelings. Don't worry, he'll have a few more regrets before it's over, but not many. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing.

Ouch. Knowing what we now do about Dumbledore, he probably would wear lavender perfume and kiss Severus on the forehead.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
I wrote the first half of this story before JRK made the big announcement about my beloved Dumbledore, so you are probably right on that one! I never dreamed he was gay, I always simply imagined that he was very eccentric. After she told us I could see the signs, but I was blind to it beforehand. I don't make judgements based on someone's flamboyant clothes or lack of a romantic history. Thanks, as always, for reading and reviewing.

Wow! where did she learn that?
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
Believe it or not, we are only about half way through the story. You will continue to learn about Sienna and her abilities in the next few chapters. Thanks for sticking with me, sonny33. Your reviews are greatly appreciated.

Great chapter. I'm anxious to see how the next chapter goes. Voldemort won't be content to let her live after that scene.

Wow! I'm going to re-read that confrontation scene again. It was amazing! So, how does Sienna get out of Avada Kedavra? Is she somehow able to repel, diffuse, or absorb and redirect the curse? And what did that apology at the end mean? "Sorry that I'm about to die," or "Sorry that I have to Repel you"? Hum. Harry Potter who? It's also nice to see Severus accepting his growing relationship with Sienna rather than fighting it. And once again you covered a scene that most only mention in passing. Loved it! Great chapter.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
I'm so glad that you are enthusiastic about that confrontation scene. My heart pounded as I wrote it. Your questions will be answered in the next chapter. I hate to leave you hanging like this, but I will get the next chapter up asap.Thank you,

It's so refreshing to see Snape paired with someone other than that bushy-haired pain-in-the-bum. So far I really like Sienna and am looking forward to reading more. Your characterization of Snape is very IC. I loved his almost apology. Yay for SS/OFC! In case you were wondering, I read several chapters and an now going back to review them.

Hello
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
. Thanks for reading and reviewing. When I wrote this I never imagined Snape and HG together, but after reading several of the stories on this site I began to realize that it is possible, especially since I never thought she and Ron were well suited.Sienna is very different from HG, however, and I believe that in order for HG and SS to ever get along, she would have a huge amount of growing up to do and he would need to mellow considerably. So Sienna is much more mature and tolerant than the average 17 year old. You will find out why in later chapters. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing. I'm glad you like it so far.

Ooh, great chapter!!! That certainly did clear up a lot of questions (Hail, Deanna Troi!), as well as set up Sienna's future role. I'm excited to see how that role plays out. So, was Lily was aware of the prophecy before implanting the vision in Sienna's mind? And speaking of that vision, priceless! I'm picturing how Severus must look when he's completely blushing. Very sweet.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
To answer your question,
Response from ClayPotter (Author of The Potion Master's Assistant)
, I never gave it much thought, but I don't think that Lily would have known about Sienna's prophecy because it was given while Lily was still alive, and Sienna didn't find out about it until now. So Lily would not have known about it either. But that doesn't really matter to Lily. She was searching for the perfect girl for Severus, and she found her in Sienna. The prophecy doesn't change that one way or the other. It definitely helps that she's an empath, however. Severus really needs someone who can see past his hard exterior and into his heart. Thanks for reviewing. I'm so glad you are enjoying it.

I like the way she bested him at wandless magic. Pity she took so long to figure out the motive behind his behaviour.

Sienna's smart, but she's not a mind reader. Don't worry, it takes a while, but it will all work out. Much of the mystery that surrounds Sienna will be revealed in the next chapter. Thanks again for reading and reviewing.:)
