At first I thought it was going to be the same idea like Bookends but it's so diferent! Severus as a prisoner...humiliated, beaten, without a hope until she came. She gave him everything he ever wanted...suport, love and she stood next to him when all was bad. They deserved the happines of being loved and together.

Loved it!! What a fabulous story ... you captured the desolation and the suffering so well that I was in tears. The hope and love that Severus and Hermione were able to find was so fulfilling.Well written, great pacing ... just wonderful!

Why is Madam Pomfrey being so awful, times are tough enough without all the hate she's spewing. I love that Severus still has hope after everything he has been through.I knew Hermione would be outraged at the treatment of the prisoners, look how crazy she got over the house elves.

I love this beginning, it has so much potential, I can't wait to see where this goes. I did hate what happened to poor Ron, but it was necessary for the story.I've read "And So It Comes To This" and it is lemony and delicious.

I will have to check the other fic out. I LOVE recs! I wanted a different change from the Ron is a jerk and that is why he and Hermione break-up. Realistically, seeing how Ron reacted to on the run camping and his overall, "emotional range of a teaspoon" thing, I felt the loss of Fred and the gore of warfare would be too much for him psychologically.Thanks for reviewing! i'm sure you have heard this a number of times but this was an extrodinary story you are very talented and i enjoyed your tale so very much it was one of those that once was started could not be stopped until the end and i have read a few of those but not many thank you for the enjoyment vicky

I used to say the same thing. Boy, did I have my fair share of horrific men walk in and out of my life *shudder*. Then I met my husband. Seven years we've been together and have had more than our fair share of troubles, but he becomes more dear and lovely to me as each year passes. That was indeed a beautiful beginning. The thing I regretted most was in DH Harry never got to express his newfound feelings to Snape before JKR took him from us.
