Reviews for Second Life
Oh, the bomb! Now, we know it was Severus who sent the Grangers to Australia.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
The bomb, indeed. :) We'll see in the next chapter. ;)
Oh my. Before I make any rash assumptions; Severus helps HErmione to hide her parents wont she? It would make sence and I refuse to belive that he would kill them or that Hermione would allow him to do so. Nope, he will help her hide them, thats how she managed the major task of giving them new identities and whisk them off to Australia (don't you dare prove me wrong:-))I loved that Severus found a way to meet Hermione though, and I love her reaction to meeting him. And, I absolutely love this story, it is fantastic!!!!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
I'm so glad you're still liking it! I'm not saying anything about the next chapter. I've been terrible about spoiling my own story in responses. ;)
oh nooh nooh no Hermione has her temper up! I wonder if she heard him saying "making love" soppy snape
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Can you imagine the way he would grimace, saying such a thing?
Hermione has more guts than most people, I suppose from what I have read in this story she got it honestly from her mom. It is impressive that a mere muggle would approach a wizzard in a defensive stance ready to protect her daughter.Well we know know that Severus (as in canon) is a good guy. If her was true to the Dark Loard he would not be telling Hermione that he was there to kill her parents.I hope you are able to update soon.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
I agree with you on all counts. ;) More to come quite soon. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
Wheeeeww! Is it hot in here or is it just me? Snape instructing Hermione through the sex is really quite naughty! )))))))))))))))picture me running quickly to the next chapter
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
I love your emoticon. Hehehe. I'm glad you...erm...enjoyed it.
That was a powerful chapter. He really loves her.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Yes, he does. I'm glad it's shining through. Thank you!
Ditto to everyone who applauded your nuanced treatment of Hermione's relationships with, well, everybody. Nuanced is an excellent word for your writing. You are killing me and making me love it. Beg for more, even. Brava!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you, Emmeline. I just got home from visiting my parents, so I haven't read your new chapter yet, but you're first on my list for tomorrow--I can't wait!
New chapter! Finally! I've been watching the queue for days. Your story is literary crack. Seriously. :-) Very good chapter with nasty, wonderful cliffie. I love the SS/HG interaction and especially your voice for Snape. Very nice. Please send more?
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Just got back from my trip--will send more tomorrow maybe? I'm so glad that you are still liking the story. Literary crack! I love it.
Response from RedOrchid (Reviewer)
Please do. :-) I have internal audits at four offices this week and will practically live on trains. Good reading = heaven. Hope the trip was good?
Well my dear friend, * *Like I've said before...A-W-E-S-O-M-E !! \O/ | Can't wait for the next chapter.... / \
Response from OpalJade (Reviewer)
(oops, I was trying to do a cheerleader but the body and pompoms ended up in the wrong spot! lol)
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
This cheerleader is all over the place! I love her and her one detached leg. Perhaps she is Mad-Eye Moody? xoxo
Oh goodness, what a great way to explain why her family shipped off to Australia. Genius!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thanks!
OH! *stomps feet*That's a downright evil cliffie!*pouts*I was waiting for this chapter and now he'll help her or give her the method to help herself and... and.... *stomps feet some more*Why are you making me wait for this!!!??!!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
I don't know why I'm making you wait for this. It's baffling. :) I just got home--I'll get on that tomorrow. :)Thank you,
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
.
ah!!! I was exppecting something completely than what this turned out to be!!! But still, you did a wonderful job. A lot of things would be left unknown without this chapter. :) Can't wait to read the next.
Keep up the wonderful story telling!!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you so much! And I can't believe I went in a different direction than you were expecting--I've been afraid that I've been entirely transparent. ;)More quite soon...
Talk about good news, bad news!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
I know! Thanks for reading and reviewing!
I guess I better start reviewing this here, because I can never wait for it to upload at Ashwinder. ;-) The leave-taking from Hogwarts was beautifully bittersweet. I loved Hermione's thoughts on Lavendar and Parvati--much more nuanced than we get in canon--but then that's why you're writing this story. I loved Hermione asking the Fat Lady her name and the response. Hermione's parents were very believable, and you fooled me with how Severus communicated with Hermione. I was expecting the ring, but I suppose he needed to be sure her response would be positive. I had forgotten what Severus' disguise looked like, so I was expecting a DE smackdown there at the house. And yea--he gets to help her with her parents. Can't wait to see how they work this out.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
I was away, so I couldn't get the chapter up at Ashwinder simultaneously. I'm working on it! But thank you very much for reviewing over here--I really appreciate it. I'm very glad you enjoyed this chapter and even more glad that you were fooled by Sev in disguise, if only for a moment. Thank you!
They had asked after Harry, but Hermione thought that they were actually asking about her plans. She felt, for a moment, very known, very cherished. Her parents knew her well enough, it seemed, to realize that she would not be able to stand by and let this happen to those she loved. And this is why you are such an amazing writer. That sentence just resonated with me so fiercely. Isn't that what we all want from our parents anyway? To be known, to be cherished? For them not to be shocked when they find out that we have inner reserves of strength and courage that they never suspected (or took the time to notice)? Brilliant, Lariope!Nice touches: having her say goodbye to Lavender and Parvati (I always wondered what those Gryffindor girls would get up to in their dorms for the past 6 years!), asking Brunhilde's (!) name, the ghoul plan taking shape...I could go on and on. I like Hermione's parents. THANK YOU for not making them bland, cardboard cutouts of the "clueless yet concerned" Muggles that most HG/SS authors copy and paste into their fics. I really like her mom!The reunion scene was perfection itself. And so tense--I was almost sitting on eggshells while reading it. ;-) Love that she kept her cool enough to remember his disguise and their code words...and to cast the shield on her parents. I just love that girl! And the way you wrap up every little detail, such as WHY the street was so quiet when they pulled up...you never leave us hanging! Which, imo, is another mark of a great writer. I'm truly in awe.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Do you want to come and live at my house? Because every time I hate myself and everything about this story, there you are to make everything good again. I wish I could do something for you that would mean as much. I'm really, really glad you liked this chapter. Thank you so much for these reviews that touch my heart. xoxox.
Response from Georgiana (Reviewer)
I always feel frustrated that I can't get my point across in reviews, like how MUCH I appreciate your writing! So I'm glad to know it has some impact. As to what you can do for me.....KEEP WRITING!! ;-)
You did a wonderful job with the next day emotions. I was so happy to read that he let her use magic to clean and the detention was not an attack. I hope someone on staff fancies Severus so Hermione can have her ring flash and feel the envy as well.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you!
Well.
This is just fucking outstanding.
Her goodbyes at Hogwarts were beautiful and sad and stunning, but by the time I got to the end of the chapter I had to think hard to remember anything that came before. My oh my.
Outstanding.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you, Mia! I'm delighted that you liked it.
OOOOOHHH! Evil cliffy! If my lunch break wasn't over two minutes ago I'd start ranting about leaving us hanging and stuff. I just hope for the sake of my sanity that the next chapter is up soon. This is one seriously cool fic!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you so much! I love that you are always reading on your lunch break. :)The next installment is very soon--hopefully no more truly evil cliffhangers for a while. :)
They're entering a very difficult period but it's often the best way to test one's love.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
This is true. But I have faith in them. 5 hundred gazillion stories can't be wrong. Can they? :)
A great chapter. I'd love to see Snape in a Citroen - the real Snape, though.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Yes, I agree, Dissimulo Snape is a little disturbing. Real Snape in a Citroen would be....yes. :) Thank you!
Hi! A thousand thanks four your marvellous fanfic! I´m really looking forward to read more of the story. I think it´s one of the more consistent I´ve read, and I like your writting style very very much. Sorry about the grammar mistakes but I can´t help them since English it´s not my first language! Keep writting, please!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you so much for your review! I'm really glad that you're enjoying the story!
I just re-read this chapter and my eyes are filled with tears.Very moving...I love how Hermione still has great affection for her best friends, despite the fact that they dislike the man she loves. So well done my friend!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Oh, thank you. I think to Hermione, Harry and Ron exist in an almost different world from Snape. Certainly a different part of her heart.
Simply breathtaking!I loved the battle of the Felix Felicis taking place during their goodbye kiss. You're such a clever girl Lariope!
You know, I've never really thought about what Snape would conjure up in his mind to be able to cast the killing curse. So glad you brought it up...it was thought provoking!
(and the intention you provided was brilliant!)I love this story!! :)
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you,

I just knew Hermione was too smart not to figure it out for herself. I just hope they can come up with some plan to keep her parents safe.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
I agree--she is too smart not to see it. And I hope so too. ;) Thanks for reading and reviewing!
