Reviews for Second Life
Poor Hermione -- forced to settle for a glimpe at a dot on the Marauders map. And the price of that glimpse? Why, listening to Harry malign the man she loves.I was hoping for less camping in this story, but at least yours is interesting!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
This is, in my opinion, one of the only chapters that really focuses on the camping per se. (Although I think others would disagree!) But yes, I agree, the camping was long and hard and boring. Thank you for reviewing!
Dumbledore has once again proven himself to be a scheming manipulating bastard. I can truly understand Snape's feeling that he would have no trouble casting the Killing Curse this time -- with pleasure!I hope someday the puppet-master's strings are cut for good!'His last thought was of Hermione sitting calmly on the ground among the leaves and waiting. She is very faithful to you, his mind said. And he slept."This was a perfect way to end this chapter. Good, warm, positive thoughts about Hermione.Brilliant, as usual.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you! Yes, Dumbledore is definitely abhorrent in these chapters, and I think we should all just get in line to hex him! :)
He felt a crushing weight descend on his chest as she left, so real he nearly wondered if she had managed to hex him after all. He had hoped… so deeply that he had never admitted it to himself, but hoped nonetheless that she might have figured it out. He thought that perhaps the right words might trigger--but, no. Things were as they had always been. Oh, my, this just underscores how alone he is. One of my biggest problems with DH was the fact that NONE of the other Order members knew Snape's true loyalties. I understand about keeping secrets and such, but that was just ridiculous.Another wonderful chapter.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you so much! It drove me crazy in canon, too. It's just not right--and why were all the professors so dense? Shouldn't it have been obvious that he was protecting the children?I'm really glad you liked it; thanks for reviewing!!
ACK! You can't leave the chapter there! It's just not fair! I was wondering how you'd handle the capture at Malfoy Manor.... Very nice. I want to see what else you've got cooked up for us. :)
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
I know--it was an evil cliffhanger... perhaps made less evil by the fact that we know what happened? But yes, more soon!! Thank you for reviewing!
Amazing, as always... Can't wait for the next chapter (though with you, I'm afraid I shall never rest 'till i read the whole, complete thing...)! I'm sorry I didn't review for a while, I loved every second of the story, so I just figured you might be tired of reading the same thing over and over again... So I'll say it now (again)- YOU ARE AMAZING!! I wish I could write like you... :) The last chapter had me crying, by the way, which I'm guessing will happen at the next chapter too. Love it!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you so much,
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
! I'm so glad you're still enjoying the story. ANd never worry about not reviewing--I'm just glad you know you're still reading. It's funny, I can see the end for the first time since I started writing--we're only about 10 chapters away give or take, I think, and that is both amazing and terrifying. But soon, I hope, you'll be able to read the whole thing right through. Thank you so much for reviewing! xoxox
They were not too late!!Noo! They can't be too late! :( !!Excellent update! I liked the bit about physically attacking Bella instead of using magic. I'd even like to get my hands on her!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
hahah! Yes, me, too!Thank you so much; I'm glad you liked the chapter. More soon!
aaah I have waited for this chapter and I am still waiting for more... as long as Snape doesn't die the others as sad as it might be may - exept Hermine of course, yeah and a happy end would be preferable, desirable
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Yes, desirable to me, too.And I do promise not to kill Snape. ;)More to come quite soon! Thank you for reviewing!
Perfect. Quite simply, perfect.I can't wait for the next chapter:)Fizzabella
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you!
This story continues to amaze and enthrall me. I like the detail you gave as Severus moved into the Headmaster's office. And double-damn Dumbledore for being such an unmitigated prick. Even from the grave he continues to manipulate and control. I'm really starting to hate him!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Dumbledore, the unmitigated prick. I love it. Thank you!
Exciting and action-packed! It was interesting to see this from Hermione's and Snape's perspectives. I'm excited to see what happens next... although I'm guessing that there will be a lot of sadness with Dobby's death in the next chapter. :(
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I really hate writing the action chapters, although there were parts of this one that I liked. More quite soon-- I hope you continue to enjoy it. :)Thank you for reviewing! xoxo
OK, now that was an evil cliffie, I must say.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Yes, I have the evilness.Thank you for reading and reviewing!
What a frightening account! I loved every bit of this chapter and, really, there's nothing more I can say. You're brilliant and I absolutely cannot wait for more!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you! More to come very soon!
Dobby dying was the only scene that made me cry in book 7, I hope you let him live, pretty please.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
I cried horribly during that part, too, but I'm not going to say anything about it until after the next chapter posts....Thank you for reviewing xoxo
Please don't kill Dobby......................I couldn't bear it again.Brilliant as always.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
I can't respond to this, but I will when the next chapter is posted, ok?Thank you for reviewing,
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
. I really appreciate it.
oh no Hermione!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Yeep! Hang on! More to come soon... :)
Sad chapter, glad there is more of snape and hermione together. I am also glad you are deviating from the book more.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Well, I'm glad you're glad--there will definitely be a lot of deviation from here on out!Thank you for reviewing!
wow. You manage to have me over the edge all through this chapter.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you! I'm glad it was exciting!
Gah another awesome chapter with a freaking cliffie! Argh! Awesome thos I loved the way u portrayed to action at Malfoy Manor, and Snape being there and helping just awesome! Waiting with baited breath for the chappie! Lio
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you! More soon!
You make the whole thing make so much sense. Sometimes I think JKR left too much, assuming that her readers' would 'know' what she meant. Sigh ... I quite Divination, too!Still loving this! (Do you ever get tired of hearing that?)
Response from StormySkize (Reviewer)
I tried to 'fix' that first line, and the whole thing went wonky. I meant to say, ' Sometimes I think JKR left OUT too much ...'Does that make more sense?
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
My dear, you could say it every minute for the rest of my life and I'd never get tired of it. Because I'm needy like that. :)I couldn't be happier that the story is making sense to you, that it feels purposeful. Thank you for reviewing!
That was a hell of a chapter! No time to breathe!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you!
I'm not really good at reviewing, but I just wanted to let you know I thought this chapter was amazing!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
You are too good at reviewing! I liked that very much. Thank you!
Whoah. Talk about intense! Even knowing what will happen, I was on the edge of my seat for the latter part of this chapter. Having Severus there, hidden, doing what he could to help, was a wonderful addition - even if it must have been agony for him to see it all but be able to do so little.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you! I'm glad it was intense. Yes, I feel terrible for Snape, having to watch it all--on the other hand, I think any kind of action is good for him right now, rather than sitting and growing paralyzed.Thank you so much for reviewing!
this story just keeps getting better and BETTER! i'm really enjoying how you blend DH and canon with hermione and snape's relationship and make it seem as if all of this stuff could be occurring behind the scenes in Rowling's version. Please update soon - I can't wait to see how you finish it (but please DON'T kill snape *looks hopeful*)
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you so much! (Don't I know you from RS?) I'm really glad that you are enjoying the story and that it is still working with canon for you. More soon! Thanks for reviewing!
wow! what action! what a cliffhanger, and cleverly done! :)
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you!
