Wow. I'm glad Ginny and Oliver are getting on well. I figured it would take Ron a little longer to accept things. As for Herimone and Snape... well, I don't know what to think or feel for them. I know (well we all know really) that they make a great couple but their first attempt at intimacy sure was... ummm.. clinical. I would have assumed that Snape's ego at least wanted to 'show her what he's got' but he obviously has no intention of making her feel more comfortable. Excellent writing as always. Can't wait for the next!!

Thanks! Yeah, Oliver decided to make the best of a bad situation. Ginny mostly feels extreme guilt over Harry right now.Ron is hurting and lashing out, as usual! ;-)At this point, Snape doesn't even like her, so he could care less about what she thinks. He was merely trying to stay out of Azkaban.Glad you enjoyed!

I didn't expect Ron and Luna to have passed the deadline. And it seems that Hermione and Severus will have a lot of issues to discuss (though heaven knows how such a discussion will go).

Excellent chapter! I have to admit I giggled more than a bit when Ron and Luna ended up in the slammer for non-consummation. Wonder how they're going to get out of that one. Poor Hermione, Severus pulled a bit of a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am on her! And Ginny and Oliver seemed to hit it off physically, if not yet mentally.

aaarrrgh! the evil computer ate my review after i typed it! okay, so here's the gist. i think you captured all the couples' wedding nights perfectly. i felt a bit bad for hermione - not a very nice first time. severus can be so difficult and stubborn; i hope he doesn't put her through too much torture before he relaxes a bit. and i loved that you ended with luna and ron ending up in azkaban. pure genius.am eagerly awaiting the next!

Thanks so much! No, it wasn't a great one, but a lot of first times aren't, and I just couldn't see him letting go of his anger long enough to care a whole lot, but he did care some! ;-) Teehee, yeah, had to have one couple not consummate! Writing the next now!

! True, they do, but keep in mind that Ron does not want Luna, he wants Hermione. He found out all in one day that not only does he NOT get to marry Hermione, but he HAS to marry Luna, who thought of the charm in the first place. To top it all off, it was Hermione who researched the charm and taught the others how to do it. I don't really think anyone would be ready for sex after all of that...

I absolutely, truly adored this!!!! Your story is well written, your twist of the challenge brilliant, especially did I love that you paired Ginny with someone else than Harry, mostly since most stories pair them together. The one who so far seems to be in danger of being truly hurt is Luna, the poor girl is the only one who was in love with her soulmate in advance, and she has loved Ron for so long. Ron usually being and insensitive git who blows a tantrum when things ain't going his way in stead of using his brain, he can so easily crush her hart, and he wouldn't care if i did as long as he got to tell the world how unfair he has been treated. Lets hope he takes George words to mind, though I am not sure it will happen anytime soon. Anyhow, Hermione and Severus are the main focus, lets hope they don't hurt eachother to much in the process of living together, I am a bit worried about their attitude towards eachother, especially if Severus is going to compare her with a dead woman. Lily seems to have got some kind of saint-status with Severus, and as long as he fails to see that she too was made of flesh and blood and that she chosed to marry James of her free will, no woman will ever stand a chance with him. Update again soon, I really want to read more!!

Thanks so much! Keep in mind that Ron really loved Hermione and had expected to marry her. Then BAM! he has to marry someone else, someone he's never even thought of that way. And beyond that, he finds out that the charm was essentially Luna's idea. So, I think anybody would be extrememly upset around this situation.It will take a bit for HG/SS to learn to love on another...

You are doing such a good job. I think eveyone's reactions are spot on. Snape was quite angry, but I wouldn't expect anything less. Ron's reaction of hurt and anger works also. I loved Oliver. "Oi, wtf?" He's such a career man. Didn't expect to have a little wife tagging along. LOLOL The best was Harry coming off the lift, nice and calm. It'll be interesting to see if he hooks up with someone as well or if he takes his "freedom" and enjoys it for a while.

I'd say everyone is in a terrible mess! Hermione is going to marry someone who will use her; Ron is probably going to ignore Luna or spend all his time ditching out on her; and Ginny gets a bloke who'll cheat on her. erg!

Well, the terrible mess is that everyone has to marry someone they didn't expect...How would Severus use Hermione?Ron is mad at Luna for now, but he won't likely always be...Why do you think Olive will cheat on Ginny?

I don't see Snape falling for Hermione anytime soon, but either abusing her or neglecting her - but we'll see where you take this...As for Oliver - you've painted him as a player... uncommittted type. Again, we'll see where you take this relationship as well.

No, they won't fall in love soon... Keep in mind, none of these people picked each other, the charm did. He definitely won't abuse her. Likely ignore her at times... Or try to...As for Oliver being a player, I didn't paint him as such. He's only got one lover, Pheobe, not a lot of different ones, and he told her from the very beginning he didn't want a serious relationship. To me, a player is someone with several different lovers, girlfriends/boyfriends, and leads their partner on. He doesn't want to be in a committed relationship, that's true, but then like I've said, he was up front about that.

what a fine mess you've created! of course hermione had to know ron wasn't her match when she recited her poem, with that line about love of learning. i admit i was surprised about the ginny/oliver wood result. this is a great start, and i can't wait to see what happens next!

I am really liking this story. You really nailed the reaction I would imagine the men to have at finding everything out - instead of the kind of 'low simmering rage' thing that I have seen in other fics (not specifically DH challenge but in general), I would imagine the all out anger that you portray here to be the much more normal reaction - who would want to marry someone they hardly knew, even it some charm DID claim them to be soulmates?? And that line of Snape's - eyeing Hermione and telling her she was getting the better end of the deal - priceless! I literally laughed out loud when I read it. I do feel terrible for Harry, but with so much going on in this story, I am finding it kind of easy to forget about that part :) Keep up the great work!!
