Reviews for The Love You Take
Oh crap, Severus is stuck between a rock and a hard place. What a place to end a chapter! Wails, bangs head on desk.........
Damned if you do and damned if you don't.
AHHHHHHHHHH! I can't believe you left it there, Subversa you are so cruel. Please oh please don't leave the next update for too long. That was fabulous, scary and enjoyable all at once. Poor old Sev, if they get out of this she's going to be so mad at him. I so hope Morgen is going to get what she deserves in the end.
AHHHHHH! Subversa where are you? I know your busy being a beta and writing other fics but PLEEEAAASE update this fic. I know it started out as a silly PWP but it's turned out so wonderful. I love the interaction between the two of them and all the fab O/C's. Please I need a TLYT fix.

Thank you, honey. Yes, I am beta reading, entertaining family, and studying for a professional licensing exam, but I have started writing this chapter, and I hope to have it done by the end of next weekend. I'm so sorry to leave you hanging for so long!
I am very much enjoying this story. I believe it to be true to the original characters. They are changed by their circumstances, but not gratuitously so. Congrats on succesfully walking the tightrope...I'll look forward to the next installment.
OH, evil cliffie, go away! *giggles*Spec-ta-cu-lar!
And now we must wait to discover what will happen when Hermione meets He Who Must Not Be Named!!! I know you won't let Voldy win, so I look forward to what Hermione will do to him...and please let Morgen get caught in the crossfire, perfect bitch that she is!Because now that Severus knows (whether or not he is ready to admit what he knows, even to himself), he must have the chance to tell Hermione properly. And to have the vision of the Mirror of Erised come true!I know you have other writing obligations to fulfill, but please don't leave the next chapters for too long!!!

My dear Elise, it has been a pure joy to read your reviews as you have journeyed again through The Love You Take. Even though I have to write a birthday story for my daughter, TLYT still has first place in my heart and mind, and the events of Chapter-The-Next continue to unfold in my imagination. Thank you for the lovely, thoughtful reviews and the support! I appreciate it more than you know.~s
Well, that's what he gets for insisting on seeing into her heart! Now, what is is going to do about it?
This chapter was even better the second time around for all kinds of reasons. Hermione really shouldn't be so pissed at Krum--he did try to help, and she did actually ask him to do what he could (though what really happened in the bedrom while she was Imperiused?). But if all this has helped Severus realize what he wants (and seems to have bought Hermione a little time for him to come to at least a few of his senses), then it's a good thing. Now if they can both just pay attention to all the evidence they have that isn't influenced by the curse at all, they might be able to figure out the great big fat truth staring them both in the face. But if they were able to figure it out so simply, we wouldn't have this wonderful story, would we?
So Severus has been betrayed twice by red-haired, green-eyed women. It's no wonder he's gun shy--but he needs to take another hard look at the woman at his side, one who has not chosen to be there but is now choosing to stay....
It's about time Albus stuck his nose into this little mess! Someone needs to slap some sense into that thick head, and Dumbledore ought to be up for the challenge.
Dammit! Severus, you big twit! And poor Hermione, having to try to figure him out (without his help--he has NO idea what's going on in that insecure, complex, dark place he calls his heart!).You do have some lovely turns of phrase, as well--my favorite might be carnal contrition. I would so love someone to be carnally contrite...though without so much reason as our dear, conflicted Potions Master!
Your plotting is so evil! Just at the moment he decides he needs to pull back emotionally, you throw Krum into the mix! Evil writer! Wonderfully evil writer!!
What a beautiful Valentines Day. And you should take as much time as you need to finish this lovely story the right way.
Another wonderful chapter--and now she's the one with lots of evidence pointing her toward a conclusion she's not yet ready to face. But how lovely that she was able to give him some relief in a way he's never experienced before.
What a fascinating family you have created for him! (But where's Ringo?) And all of the Nexus lore, mixed in with the whole complicated evil-Lily-lookalike, the fey Morgen, adds so much to the story!
He just can't believe what he's got ample evidence to prove, poor man.
Not odd at all....This continues to be wonderful the second time through! You are giving them such emotional resonance and complexity, as they each struggle to maintain their dignity, their separateness, and find they need one another even more deeply with each hour. Lovely!
This honeymoon period is ever so lovely!
It seems Morgen never learns. Which witch in her right mind would involve a mad Dark Lord in her personnal troubles? Even if Voldemeort doesn't grow tired with her, I'm sure Severus and Hermione will come with a spectacular revenge.I really enjiyed this chapter and I can't wait to know what happens next.
"Mine" gets me every time!!I just love the emotional complexity of this whole story--she didn't choose him, he didn't choose her, but at a certain point they do, in fact, make choices, choices that have as much to do with recognizing the courage that shines through in spite of circumstances and acknowledging the fierce rules of moral conduct by which they are each operating in spite of what they are forced to do--and finidng their way toward doing it *together.*Fantastic, amazing writing!
Ah, the poor man--he's caught as surely as she is! But what a beautiful trap for them both....(But do stop mentioning Hagrid, please, it's enough to put one off one's breakfast!)
I agree that Severus is the one to be pitied most here, poor man, but, as this is my second time through, I know what delights there are in store for him, once he learns to let go himself. This is even better knowing what's coming....
Poor Severus--nothing is ever easy, is it? Having what just about any other red-blooded male would pay good money for forced into his lap just makes him irritable! And he so tries to keep from getting involved, which is a little bit impossible in the position in which he finds himself!
You are masterful in the way you subtly reveal what is happening and the complexity of their individual reactions to one another!
