You write the mysterious Snape much better than She-who-got-paid-for-it. As usual, I am left wondering just which side of the fence you’re Severus is standing on. Something I had no trouble with in Rowling's version. You give us so much more of his inner conflict and yet he remains the enigma. Or am I being too soppy? Wait, I’ll scribble it out…

I don't think they will be able to find her? I mean she doesn't have a magical signature and they don't know of her royal background. Right? What a chapter - will Lucius kill her for him. What will bonding the others to him do - great chapter - I have never read anything like this in fan fiction.

"Is this truly the day on which you choose to die?"That turn, that turn in the story gave me whiplash it was so sharp. this story is too good to be legal (oh wait...).

As usual, I have read this chapter several times and thought about it for a very long time.  I am totally amazed at the detail you include in your narrative.  The recurring theme of eucalyptus and spearmint reminds me of the use of incense during religious services to call the faithful, sanctify them, and remind them of the supreme reason for gathering together.  "When two or more of you are gathered together..." there is strength in numbers, we are stronger together than any of us can be alone, there is a joining, a melding of spirits.  Each time Hermione and Severus recall the Scent of eucalyptus and spearmint they grow stronger.  Even though their souls were riven when Hermione broke her wand, the memory of the eucalyptus and spearmint joins them once again, little by little.  Pretty neat symbolism.  I don't mean to intimate that you are trying to include religion in your tale, but it did remind me of incense.I was right about Severus being Voldermort's son.   And the Dark Lord will use the threat of Severus' losing Hermione to death if Severus doesn't do his bidding.  But, perhaps love is stronger than anything the Dark Lord can come up with, and maybe Severus and Hermione together will be stronger than Voldermort.  That's a lot of maybe's.

I guess what I'm trying to say, Mia, is that you have written such an exquisitely beautiful and intricate story, that right now I can't imagine where you are taking us -- but where ever it is, it's going to be a hell of a ride!Smashing chapter!  You keep getting better and better at your craft, and you are amazing.  Once again my hat is off to you!Your servant, as ever,Beth

Much fangirling from this direction! Poor Hermione, not knowing what's going on and having no magic to defend herself with if Bella (or Lucius for that matter) should find her. And poor, poor Severus, such lengths he'll go to to protect the woman he loves! He's betraying not only Hermione and everyone he's fought for since Lily's death, but his own hopes and dreams for the future (that he never expected to live to see). There is just no easy way out for them right now... Brilliant chapter! Looking forward to the next!

I have spent all day rereading this, and I have to say it seems even better on second reading.  I thinkit's the kind of story that you need to read large chunks of at once to follow it, so complex and intense.  Really well done as always.

you are truly an amazing writer. i started loving this pairing after becoming obsessed with this story. the details and plot are beautiful. i hope it never ends..=) problem is i'm not patient and so i always want more but alas i'm just a reader that always awaits the next chapter. i hope you will write much more for this story and who knows maybe a new one too... if i could only write as you do. plots and ideas i have many it's just that i'm not gifted in fanfiction to atempt as you have. really good.

Another impressive chapter!  And, wow, what an oath!  I wonder how Hermione will react to her husband holding a bunch of lust oaths in his hands.  hehe.  This is truly brilliant and I almost wish Voldie would win the war, just because I'd love to see King Voldie with Crown Prince and Princess-Consort Severus and Hermione.  That would just be so much fun to read!In any case, I hope you update soon!

All the twists and turns.  I hope that Bella is stopped, and well, that was not really any fun, now was it.  I keep hoping for Severus and Hermione to get back together.

I think this might just be your best chapter yet.  The plot is really starting to shock and shine, thrill and entice.  Not that you didn't have a page-turner before, but you've truly gone far from the beaten track in HP fiction at this point.  It's almost a shame to call it a MLC fic.  Too limiting.I particularly like the juxtaposition of Hermione writing and rewriting her letter while Severus is at war with himself.

I wonder if Dumbledore has any clue, at all, how badly he has F&*%ed up? How can this ever end in a "good" way?Your skills as a writer have me in awe.....
