A foul curse cast on Hermione and Ginny leaves them forced to search out one vital ingredient from their soul mates. Will Draco and Severus help them in their time of need? This is my response to a Potter Place Winter Prompt Challenge.

Thanks, dollface!
I am enjoying your story and looking forward to new updates. I especially liked the way you wrote Severus in chapter 10 and his interaction with Lucius.I also liked the way you are developing the Harry Pansy relationship. Especially the way you portray Pansy, the insecurities.

! So happy you like it!I always picture SS/LM as being good friends, so I feel like he would be able to speak his mind.I think Pansy would be insecure, especially after Draco married Ginny!
Response from tinnidawg (Reviewer)
In my opinion, the entire canon presentation of Pansy (what ittle we have)shows a character with deep underlying insecurities.
I am happy to come across a story which can portray that side of a minor character, instead of showing just the clichéed "bitch" Pansy.
I really enjoyed Snape & Lucius’ heart to heart talk. I guess Lucius needed a peer to knock some sense into him. Looks like it did the trick! Who says sappy!Lucius is a bad thing? The man was in love for crying out loud.
My most most MOST favorite part of the chapter was Harry & Pansy. A war orphanage is one of my favorite themes, and to have her run it is just perfect! You have shown Pansy as vulnerable and yet still able to trust. LOVE IT!!! OMG I have become a HP/PP shipper!!!! Plus I like a Harry who is self confident and considerate, in other words, a grown up. Well done Christy! More More MORE!!

! I see SS as more than a peer. I picture them as good friends. :-) That's right, LM loved his wife!So happy you are enjoying my HP/PP! They are fun to write for me! I think in time, Harry will mature more. Right now, he has too much on him--he's allowed to be emotional! teehee More soon. I've just sent SW the next chapter!

I was off line for about 10 days and lookie what I found 2 updates from you WOO HOO!! I couldn’t be more pleased. I do wish Draco had not been so careless with Pansy’s feelings. Am also glad to see Ginny’s thaw, a person shouldn’t stay mad for so long. Forgiveness is good for the soul.

So happy you enjoyed the updates! Yeah, Draco's behavior will be discussed--never fear! Right, it was time for Ginny to forgive!
Yup, this story is just as great as the first time I read it (and the next:-)) Wonderful plot and brilliantly written, not to mention such great characters you have. Very well done!!!
I enjoyed this story and would like to know about the babies and all that happens later on, maybe even lucious finding someone and harry, and ron too.... You have captured this the right way, grats.

! I always end with an epilogue! No Worries!
“Your stomach is growing.” [...]“Thank you so much for pointing out the fact that I’m fat.” [...]“No, not fat. With child.” [...] “My child. In my eyes, it makes you even more beautiful.”[...]“I love you,”[...]“Me too,”That is the perfect intimity that couples share in such a moment. Thank you for writing it.For the rest I'm glad people learn things and others began to trust and hope. You know I've just discovered that romance between obvious couple is boring me (like GW/HP or RL/NT). So I like discovering new ones and these are quite interesting.

! I think most women worry about the ever growing belly during pregnancy! LOL I did! I like the unusual couples too! I would like to see NT/CW--I may do something there myself! teehee
Congratulations on another wonderful chapter! The thoughts and dialogue of the characters comes across as real. I hope Lucius realizes that Draco and Ginny are not only giving him his first grandchild but also Cissy's. He spoiled Draco so I can only imagine how he'd be with a grandchild (especially if it's a girl). Lucius doesn't do anything in moderation.Since all of the chapter title have been songs from my era I have a suggestion. My Aim Is True (Elvis Costello) it seems to fit with all the different ships. Can't wait for the next update!

! Glad you enjoyed it!Well will see a different side to Lucius now--but not TOO different! LOLI usually just look through a web site that has 80 song titles and if I think one suites the material in the chapter, I use it even if I don't know the song! Ha Ha!More coming soon!
I really like how smoothly the story is going.... very nice.. love to see more soon.

Hey!
I just devoured this whole story without reviewing in between, and I apologize for that (I have those days, I just can't help it). But I wanted to let you know I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Looking forward to the rest of it!
Thank you!
Fran

Thanks Fran! I am so happy you're enjoying my story!More coming soon!
Yes! Everyone is back to the way they should be. Hermione and Severus are getting it on, Draco and Ginny are talking again, Lucius had an epiphany and Harry and Pansy shared a kiss. SQUEAL! Can't wait for the next chapter. Hope it's soon.: )Cassandra
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
Thank you Cassandra! Yep, all back in order! It was time. All my puzzle pieces are coming together! ;-) More up soon--my beta has the next chapter!
It does explain him a bit. But I still don't know if it redeemed hiim. I hope he finds someone. I do like the Harry/Pansy plot.
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
Thanks Blue! Even if he's not redeemed, at least he is explained! ;-) Glad you're enjoying my hp/pp!
I'm glad Hermione gave him a chance. It shows her maturity. I just want to hug Draco. He's been longing for Ginny, but he was never really taught how to love and forgive. Maybe she'll teach him.nicely done :-)
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
Thanks DeeM! Yes, I agree, she is mature! That's right. He's wanted her for awhile. First it was lust, then as he came to know her a bit, it grew. After they married, it turned to love. They'll figure it out!More up soon!
Good! I'm glad you didn't make it too easy, and I'm glad things are getting better now! I'd leave a longer review, but I need to go get ready for my class. Just know that I loved the chapter, and you're doing an excellent job! :-D
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
THanks, doll! I am glad you enjoyed it! (See, I told you not too much angst!)
Now they're getting somewhere. (guess the 80s song reference! I love the fact that your chapter titles are all song titles, *hee*) Please update soonest.

!
This was a wonderful chapter. Part of me loved the one-up-manship the girls had over the guys... but that pales in the rest of the content. Ginny coming unglued, talking out their thoughts and worries with Poppy, Severus' reaction to the photos. Hermione finally deciding to talk to Sev and his opening up to her. The information booklets. [Which the guys should read, too.] Rather sobering.
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
Thanks
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
! Yeah, I thought after the attack that they would have some problems--I know I would. I am trying to make this as realistic as I can.
Thank you for the update.
Good reading. Bout time the "boys" saw the truth.
Love Ron going off on Snape. Snape needed to hear it.
Waiting for more.

Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
Thanks Patti!Yeah, they needed to know! Thanks, I agree. I didn't have that much at first, and then SW told me she thought he should say more. I agreed and added!More up soon!
Finally a song from the 80's that didn't completely suck, lol. This chapter was very well written. I think out of, ginny and hermione, hermione would be the one to forgive first because ginny is too much of a spitfire to just let it go that easy. Can't wait for more.
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
LOL What? You don't LURVE Air Supply??? teeheeRight, and I see Hermione as more mature for some reason, even though she's only a year older. More coming soon!
Thank you so much for the update, I have been looking for it each day since you submitted chapter six. This story is absolutely, without any doubt, my favorite WIP at the moment. I know that in my review of chapter six wanted the girls to not forgive easily and wanted Severus and Draco to hurt a lot for their betrayal and mistrust of their wives. But, Hermione is a bright girl, and I know that she made the right choice with regards to their future to listen to Severus. I also understand Ginny, her trauma is stronger, her pregnacy is harder and Draco not only put her down, but her family too. I hope Draco manage to keep his Malfoy temper and pride in check so he can manage to win her trust and hearth back again. Now I will reread this chapter and start waiting for chapter eight:-)

Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
! I am so happy you're enjoying it! Yeah, I could see after getting over the initial hurt that Hermione would think on it and reason it out in her mind. Ginny and Draco have a bit to go, but they'll get there! It will be fun to see how!
yay! an update. I think that there should be some grovelling done still, Snape has gotten off too easily....Draco, well if there is a prayer for idiot husbands, maybe he should start praying
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
Thanks
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
! Well, she did tell him "not quite" when he asked if they were okay now... Yep, Draco needs to pray for sure!
Well... Both HG and SS have taken a step in the right direction. Not so sure about GW and DM, that 'slut' thing is a bit hard to swallow in any situation. Still feel like kicking him... bleh! ;)Looking forward to the next installment, cheers!
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
Thanks
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
! Yes, SS/HG are getting there.Slut was harsh, but haven't you ever said anything in the heat of anger, or when you was hurt and wanted to lash out? That is really why he said that. Of course, that's not an excuse--just an explantion.More coming in about a week!
Response from mmesnape (Reviewer)
Can't say that I have gone down that road, may have thought the words but they never passed my lips. Having been on the receiving end of such harsh words tends to make you think before uttering them to your loved ones. The words do leave scars... but on to more happier thoughts. Cheers!
That certainly worked out easier for Severus, he has the logical wife. Draco, being married to the emotional redhead, will have a tougher time patching things up.
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
Thanks,
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
! Yep, Severus was lucky in that respect! You're right--poor Draco! ;-)
Facing the consequences is never easy. A huge rift has been created in these relationships; trust will have to be rebuilt and it may not come easily. I'm glad these two are willing to own up to their mistakes.
Good for Severus for opening up to Hermione. And Hermione's hesitancy is very realistic, as is her need to seek comfort him even in her anger and hurt.
I look forward to seeing how Draco handles the situation with Ginny. Something tells me he's going to have a very hard time.
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
Thanks
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
! No, its not. Trust is hard to get back once you've lost it.Severus knew deep down he was going to have to do more than apologize to her. It wasn't enough. Glad you liked her in this chapter!I have something planned for Draco and Ginny--never fear!
Awww. Very Sweet. Yet very believable.
I've been following this story, but I'm not a big reviewer(I know, shame on me!) I have to say that this story absolutely intrigues me. I get all giddy when I see it's been updated.
Ok, there's been one thing that has been bothering me... What do Hermione and Ginny do? Draco and Severus teach. Harry and Ron are Aurors. But what about Ginny and Hermione?
~Rain
Response from cocoachristy (Author of One Vital Ingredient)
Thanks Rain! Thanks for coming out of lurkdome to leave me a review! I love them! ;-)I haven't ever said what they do... But I have something worked out for them. For now, nothing.
