Alan Rickman obsessed ex-civil servant now living the good life in France. I only write in the good ship SS/HG. However, if you think that the only way these two can get together is by some sort of forced marriage, 'binding' or whatever, don't read my stories. You will be disappointed.

Wow - I knew there had to be something to turn sweet (okay, semi-sweet), insecure Severus into S&M Spouse Snape.
What a revoltin' and creepy development this is!
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Yes, it is rather
Thanks for reviewing

Also forgot to add:
1. Poor Crookshanks!
and
2. Good chapter title.
Mephistopheles is not his name...
We know what he's up to, just the same.
Okay, now, this sentence fragment looks great on paper, but did you TRY reading it out loud before you posted???
I think it would make a good Death Eater torture device.
(just giving you a hard time...)
Voldemort cut a swathe through the throng
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Good grief, it's ages since I wrote that - I can't even remember it. I doubt very much whether I read it out loud though, it's not something that I tend to do.
What a lovely chapter!

Oh, Rats! Damn! Boogers and Bloody Hell! I usually only read completed fics. I am the dark shadow, voyeur and vampire that comes in to nourish myself on the finished product of good writers' sweat and blood. I get into a website, read everything and leave without a trace. (I know, I know, shame on my arse.) For some reason, I didn't check to see if this was complete...now you have me completely hooked! Aw shite. I may not check back often, but I will add this to my favs (computer, not site) and will check in periodically. I may actually wait for the 'Fin' before leaving another review. I guess I'm just a witch in that respect...sigh. However, do not, under any circumstance, think this fic is not appreciated for the fine example of prose that it is. You have done a masterful job so far...please continue.
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thanks very much. i will be continuing the tale, but I have a couple of other projects on the go at the moment, eating up my time. Please feel free to drop by on my lj - I usually post notifications of any updates there.

Wow! I so wrongly predicted what had caused their relationship to become what it is. I'm sure not all the details have been revealed, but it seems like Severus is to blame. I had read chapters 12-14 the other night right before sleeping and dreamt about this story. The dream gave me the idea that Hermione was going to betray Severus some how, hurt him the way Minerva had warned her not to, and her little incident of calling a wizard's debt was going to twist on her finally to give Severus complete control over her. The ring concept is really interesting. I can't wait to learn more about them. I look forward to your next chapter =)
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Hi again
Glad you're still with me and enjoying the story. Thanks for leaving a review. i hope to get back to the story in the new year.
soo.... when do we get more?love it!
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thank you.
I'm working on it, honest.
this is a great story! please, please update with more!
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thank you. I plan on getting back to it in the near future. I am currently working on another wip called Needs Must which is taking up my time at the moment, but I have no plans of abandoning Epiphany.
Operation Smurf the ferret. I love it. Great story.Truly
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thank you - hope you continue to enjoy it.
The summary says "total control." That's not a piece of jewelry (a pendant, ring perhaps?) that will let Severus control Hermione, is it? Is that the magic that has caused her to not do what she wished, and why she feels that something is wrong?
Argh! I'm on tenterhooks waiting for the next chapter.
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
OOh can't possibly say. Lots of answers next chapter.
All You Need is Love ... I enjoyed the combined forces of Hogwarts' four houses, to complete the required elements, for the protection of all that is good (sorry about my having worded that so poorly).Wonderful choice of words to describe the events of the final battle! I loved the imagey of the dragon.Well Done!
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it
What a lovely, angsty chapter. I found the story behind the snow globe especially touching.
And you're keeping me on tenterhooks wondering just what is going with married Hermione.
Tho' if I were her, I'd want to spank Severus for seemingly always being sexually domineering. It feels, at times, that he is using sex as a tool to control Hermione.
In any case, that's just my thoughts, and I am very hooked on this story and can't wait to read more! I am really enjoying this story.
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thank you. Using sex as a means of control isn't far off the mark :)
Thank you for leaving a review.
I thought I bookmarked this story here, but I guess not. If I didn't decide to check for any updates manually I wouldn't have known that you've updated it here. I haven't been able to access OWL, but I did receive an email from them that this was updated
...Anyway great chapter as always. I like how you're not just glossing over Severus' reaction to being hero-worshipped. Also, the first-half of this story really lulled me to forget the chapter title, but then I remembered in the second-half. Squee!
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thanks. I will always be up on OWL first as I'm validated there. I also usually put it on my LJ about the same time.
He's not a happy bunny, is he? We shall see how he reacts to the prospect of losing Hermione next chapter.
Thanks again.
Mmm, Legilmency sex. :P
Although I wonder what happened - surely we'll find out later? *hopeful look*
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Glad you like that :D
Put simply, their love has been blessed by the Goddess.
*flail* Zomg. What's Eileen's problem???
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
She's appalled at what her son is about to do...
Stay tuned! ;)
Ah yes, you have so many things in here that I think will actaully pan out in the series. I do think Snape was at Godric's Hollow, trying to get Lily (and james for that matter) to leave, I do think that the tiara in the RoR is important, and clearly I think Snape is Dumbledore's man. Sweet!
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thank you. I think I've actually changed my mind on how the series will end since writing that, but yeah, if Snape wasn't Dumbledore's man, I don't think I'd want to write about him.
Thanks for reviewing - hope you enjoy the rest.
Interesting, I'm assuming that Severus promised his mom he would never marry, or did he promise not to marry a muggelborn?
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Interesting that a lot of people think this... you'll have to wait and see.
Thanks for leaving a review.
how could severus doubt hermione. I bet if Eileen had a chance to meet Hermione personally, she would not object. what exactly is the nature of the promise he made to his mother? can't wait for next update.
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Terrible insecurity is the simple answer to that one. More about the promise next chapter.
Uggghhhh, what is he up to, what promise, what what what? lol--awaiting the next update.
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
I'm afraid you'll have to wait. ~Grins evilly~
Oh, I can't believe you dedicated it to me--this wonderfully brilliant chapter of literary excellence (and you know I really do think so). You made me blush. But seriously, glad to help--I'm just happy (in the jittery, giggly, fangirl sense) I get to read them before every one else!
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Now you've made me blush. Seriously, this chapter was a lot better thanks to you pushing my brain up a gear.
Have a lovely time in New Orleans.
I'm glad Severus and Hermione worked out their difference regarding the debt. After reading this chapter, I think Severus and Hermione are even more suited for each other. I have the feeling that Hermione won't become a Curse-Breaker like she was thinking, since I don't think she would want to be away from Severus. Things went better for Draco than I thought they would. I don't think it was necessary for Scrimgeour to snap his wand. As Hermione said, they could've kept it, but I guess it was spite. I'm looking forward to reading more.
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Hermione's actions will have consequences, I think I've made that clear. I also think they're suited to each other, but will it be enough? You'll have to keep reading to find out.
Thanks for reviewing.
Response from draegon_fire (Reviewer)
I don't doubt there will be consequences. Since nothing happened this chapter, I would presume that the consequences will come up behind her and bite her in the ass, so to speak. I think for now, it is enough, but there may be a point when they would need more.
Wow! I'm guessing we are seeing a hint as to the cause of all this mess? Something is up with the "intent" issue I presume. I have some other assumptions but I think I'll just go along for the ride ;)
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
That's part of it certainly, I don't think I'm giving away too much by telling you that!
Thanks for leaving a review.
I really like this fic so I'll review it here on TPP too
For a moment there you had me worried that Severus might do something stupid with Rosmerta.
Nice reconciliation scene!
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thank you. Well, he's a man, after all. I'm sure he was seriously tempted but he knows where his bread's buttered.
Thanks for reviewing again!
Well, you had alot of action in this chapter. Very enjoyable, I think Severus finally met his match in Hermonie, even if he had to 'slytherinise' her actions. I hope you will have a kind of epologue that shows us what Draco does after his five years are up.
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thank you. I think any kind of Epilogue is a long way off yet LOL! I'm not sure about Draco - you could probably write a fic about his exile on its own. Originally, I only intended for Draco to be mentioned in passing after the Battle, but I think I may have a little role for him later on. I haven't decided so I'm keeping him in reserve in case.
Thanks for reviewing.
