How far would you go if you had total control over another human being? A tale of love, obsession, temptation and betrayal.

Alan Rickman obsessed ex-civil servant now living the good life in France. I only write in the good ship SS/HG. However, if you think that the only way these two can get together is by some sort of forced marriage, 'binding' or whatever, don't read my stories. You will be disappointed.

I see you're going for the most prolific reviewer of the month award.

Damaged goods indeed. :)
Love the story and happy to see an update. Still looking for the happy ending, though!

Thank you - glad to have got that chapter out at last
Yay - you've picked up the story again!I was seriously disturbed upon first reading of this, but oddly something kept pulling me back to finish what was left of it - so I do hope we've got a great end coming soon!
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thanks - it's a hard story to write as it deals with a lot of unpleasant issues, but I intend to keep going. Lots to come before the end, though.
Bill the Bunny! :)
Poor Harry thinks he is the only one who knows about Snape.:)
Good to see Ron thinking with his head and not his hromones! :)
Interesting chapter, but what is Mabon?
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thanks. Mabon is the Autumn equinox
Sex on a broom. That would take some doing! :)
Just in time! :)
Operation Smurf LOL :)
Aha, a playboy wannabe Frenchman! :)
Albus, LOL. At first I thought it was the grown up Albus! :)
I like Mirror Severus! :)

At first I said to myself, "What's this? A new story by melusin?" And then I began reading and instantly recalled.
How happy I am that you've taken this up again. And thank god that in this chapter, something momentous and not necessarily painful is about to happen for Hermione. I look forward to where you go from here.
Author's Response: Thank you. I hadn't intended finishing there, but it seemed a natural break for what follows. The next chapter will continue from where i've left off
Great. I thought this was another great unfinished one. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

I do intend finishing it - it may just take longer than I thought :)
I love your story! I've just discovered it and it took me one afternoon to read it all. I'm a bit concerned however about the end. The first chapters when you describe Severus' insecurity and feelings towards Hermione are heartbreaking. I get your point when you say that there's darkness within him, but foremost he is someone who has terribly suffered. I CAN NOT imagine that Hermione would leave him after she discovered the truth. Of course he's abusing her trust but overall he is a good husband and a wonderful father. And he did not have the intention of overstepping the boundaries...Therefore, as somebody has already written in a review, I beg you, don't break their marriage in the end, let Severus fix it!I'm so looking forward for your update. Thanks a lot for some great reading time!

Thank you. Ultimately, he's just a man with good and bad points but he also has a power which he's been tempted to abuse. I am writing the next chapter - albeit slowly.
Someone at Potter's Place was talking about your story and I had to check it out. They were right, this is a compelling story. I read it straight through over the last day. Poor Severus and Hermione, what a terrible situation. Will Severus ever be able to believe in Hermione's love and remove her ring? Also, will Hermione forgive him, if she remembers? I like the interaction between Crookshanks and Minerva and her acceptance of him, good and bad. Also, the real life screwed up decisions, both of them made. When Hermione tried to treat him like the boys, the life debt fiasco, was fascinating in a train wreck sort of way. When he gave her the ring with the full knowledge of what they were. Hope to see the next chapter soon. Will definitely check out your LJ site for the latest.

Thanks - it's not an easy read, I don't think. But imagine the awful tempation that such magic would be for an insecure soul like Severus. He believes she loves him, but that it won't last and that she will leave him like Lily did. That's not to excuse his behaviour, but just to make people think what they'd do in the circumstances. It is a terrible breach of trust and whether or not he can be forgiven remains to be seen.I am in the middle of the next chapter, but with other projects and a lot of betaing at the moment, I don't know when I'll get back to it. It's not abandoned, though,Thanks again.

Perhaps he could go into curse-breaking too? They could be the Dynamic Duo! :)
I suppose Draco did pretty well, all things considered. :)
Wow, he has serious issues! I am happy the chapter let us see strong witches who will be there for Hermione. Severus is such an idiot, but I think his use of the rings is in character for him. So, updating soon?

If Severus and Hermione are so happy together then around her 30th birthday is she so miserable? I know the 2 of them are kinks but if he makes her cry and never shows kindness or comfort, only his own pleasure, then why is she still there?? And if he loves her as much as he does at the end of the war why would he like her that miserable? He seems like he turns abusive or something. After all she gave up her career chice and had his kids and does his bidding? what changed?

keep reading and you'll find out
I really have enjoyed reading this story, as well as your "Needs Must." Any chance you're going to finish both of them? I realize the muse must inspire, but it is soooooo very hard on readers who get hooked on good stories only to see them languish unfinished. Please, for your fans' sake, finish these 2 stories. Oh, pretty please?
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Thank you. I have to apologise for taking so long with both - but i am working on the next chapter of Needs Must at the moment - I was taken away from these WIPs by the plot bunny that turned out to be Three Blooms in the Cauldron. But thanks again for your reminder :)
GRRRRRRRR..... God dangit I thought he was not going to abuse his power!!!!!!
Response from melusin (Author of Epiphany)
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Thanks for leaving a review.
