In a radio-interview Hermione Granger talks about one bitter regret. In Italy a man preparing dough for his gnocchi listens by chance.

Reviews for Being Muggle-born
Ah, dear - someone has become excessively protective over the years, hasn't he? Good to see. And yes, Severus will need to be very careful for now if he plans to maintain the fiction that he is someone else when dealing with Hermione. Glad to see the next chapter is in queque. I'm greedy!

Well, half the elder Malfoys know he's alive. I wonder what Lucius will say when he realizes who his wife is with. Something tells me Severus will end up drug back to Britain at some point. After all, he was close to spilling the beans to Hermione. And I can't wait for her reaction.

Nice to see him taking a different approach to Halloween. I love his reaction to Albus Severus. That was about mine.
Oh, Severus, you are opening a can of worms if you wish to remain anonymous.
Now that he has his life sort of back together, I wonder how much longer until the itch to resume contact with Britain will last before he has to scratch it?
Interesting turn of events. Guess that interview weighed heavier on him than he wanted to admit.

That and the wine (without which we wouldn't have a story ...)

Great start. Really captures your attention and makes me wonder if Snape will suddenly come out of the woodwork.
Oops-a-daisy! Not the sort of position you should be caught in with Lucius Malfoy's wife! :)

"Indeed," the authoress drawled with an evil undertone ... (but on the other hand - the gardens at Miramare resort are much too posh to hold a duel in it ...) You'll see soon, thank you for your lovely reviews!

Nice to see he is starting to free himself from his past. :)
He's developing in interest in Miss Granger which may lead him into temptation! :)
Sounds like he's invested some time and effort into self-improvement. :)
She'll be on the next International Portkey out there to have a chat to Zelko, I bet. :)

I guess finding out someone did actually care about his fate was a bit of a shock. :)
Oh no! I hope Lucius bother's to get a good look at him before he starts firing hexes!

Do not worry overmuch. I cannot bring myself to let Severus suffer even more and therefore try to give him the nicest post-war life that is remotely possible. Thank you for your many, to-the-point reviews!

All that culture and he still cares if he has an email... loving all the travelogue details!
Oh dear, if he's going as far as researching her on the internet then he is hooked! It's interesting to read a story where even the Malfoys don't know of his continued existence. I wonder how his godson will react?
I'm loving the post war world you've created for him - he more that deserves it. Although, with Granger edging into the picture, I wonder just how long it will last.
So much for self-control and anonymity, lol. And now, I'm out of chapters. Must have more!

Two chapters are in queue and the rest is finished. And even if a meteor drops on my flat and destroys my computer my beta has the rest, therefore please relax and enjoy the wait. Thank you for your reviews!

I'm glad to hear that the therapy helped him, and I hope he enjoyed his trip.
What are the chances that he wondered about Draco, and his new pen pal is well connected? I wonder if his identity will be revealed intentionally, or accidentally? Can't wait to find out!
Ooooh... Jealous Lucius!!

Mhm (authoress grins evilly).

Oh my! I hope that Lucius won't hex first, and ask questions later.

It's nice to see Severus finally letting go of the past, and moving on with his life.
Severus seems to be enjoying his correspondence with Hermione, and now he has news of Draco too. The flash back to Draco as a baby was sweet.
A good chapter, it's good to know how he got from the floor of the shack, to where he is today.
