They finally meet! Yay! And a kiss, awe! More please!
Ohhh...this is so much fun and so sweet to read.

Alan Rickman not tall? He's 1.85m, ie 6ft1. That seems plenty tall to me.
Response from Minerva (Author of Being Muggle-born)
1,85 is plenty tall. I tried to find the picture that made me think Alan Rickman being smaller, but couldn't find it (for now obvious reasons). I am sorry for that mistake.

I'm glad they didn't have any misunderstandings, not after all this letter-writing and the thought put into each communication. This isn't the end of the story,is it? 'Cos I'd relly like to see them together, joining their lives and their circle of friends. Thanks for updating!

I so loved this chapter, it was everything I hoped for but so much more. I so glad that Hermione was so accepting of who Zelko really is. Great job

Oh, this could have gone SOOO wrong--but didn't. Both have calmed down since their earlier encounters. I have to wonder how Hermione could have stomached (SIC) her life at Hogwarts and esp with Harry on such a predicament. Well, maybe there's a simple explanation to it, and it actually doesn't matter much.
Response from Minerva (Author of Being Muggle-born)
Ahem. I do not have a back-story to her sickening up and therefore no explanation, simple or otherwise (other than the nagging feeling that my first draft of their meeting was too sweet, somehow).

Phew! Thank goodness he didn't do a runner when she started to throw up. Thanks for sharing.
Response from Minerva (Author of Being Muggle-born)
At first there was a chapter-break after her throwing up, but then I decided that I had teased my readers enough :)

Nervous stomach? Check. Lost breakfast? Check. Embarrassed yourself totally in front of someone you wanted to impress? Check. Did he kiss you anyway? Double check! ^_^
So nice that there is no disaster. No lurking enemies. No sudden volcanic eruption. No magical mishap.
Just two people anticipating past the point of endurance, finally being relieved of that strain, and replacing it with a new source of concern.
Thanks for making it real.
She's almost his height? I always assumed Hermione was about average height, which would be 5'4" for a woman in the UK. Could she really have grown another four or five inches (average height for men is 5'9") after the age of eighteen? Or is Severus relatively short for a man, say 5'7"? Canon makes him about half a head shorter than Sirius, who was probably about six feet or six-one. No it's not crucial to the storyline, but I'm quite short myself, so I always notice this sort of thing.
Response from Minerva (Author of Being Muggle-born)
Oops. I might have had Alan Rickman in mind who isn't very tall. I have to confess I didn't look up canon-compliant heights. I hope it doesn't matter too much, when they kiss in the end :)

This is lovely, particularly her bout of nervous nausea, which kept it all from being too tidy and romantic. But the ending of the chapter, Hermione's showing why she bore him no ill will and the kiss... that was perfect. I see that the description still says it's not completed, so I'll look forward to whatever comes next.
A slight whoopsie in the stomach department but all sorted out now, I hope. :)
Perfection. And not only posted well before Christmas, but even posted before the Hallmark Christmas in July-a-thon! :)
I'm sorry I teased you about dragging out their meeting. The timing was exactly right... and well worth the wait. I laughed, I teared up, and I'll hungrily read more when you're good and ready to post it. ;)
Thank you--

That was not the reaction I expected, but it fit somehow.
That was an unexpected reaction. Now of course I'm thinking about Stan from South Park who couldn't talk to his girlfriend without upchucking. At least she moved away from him and he decided to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Now we know how he feels about her, but how does she feel about him? Though I think she's trying to make that clear, but failing miserably.
Oh, I'm glad you post frequently because I keep wanting each chapter to be twice as long as it is! I'm enjoying this story very much, but I will also be glad when it's finished so I can read it straight through!

Thank you, I do hope the finish will be satisfactorily.

I'm not the least bit worried that it will not be finished satsifactorily !

So close. Such a tease of a chapter. I can't wait to see what her reaction is. I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment. :)

Response from Minerva (Author of Being Muggle-born)

Are they not meeting on Boxing Day?
Response from Minerva (Author of Being Muggle-born)
Yes, they will. On the fictional Boxing Day of 2012, fortunately this will not be posted as late as the actual Boxing Day of 2013 ;)

So Zelko prefers an Elanor to a Marianne?I somehow think that Lily was more of a Marianne - otherwise she'd have forgiven him his name-calling, I believe. But then I do believe Snape is more of a Captain Wentworth -- and Hermione possibly to be very much like Anne. So I see a perfect Austen-confirming match right there. :)I'm looking very much forward to Hermione's reaction to Zelko's 'mysterious past'. He deserves to be hexed. :)
Response from Minerva (Author of Being Muggle-born)
He will get worse than hexing .... (evil cackling of authoress)
