Ugh! I had promised myself I wouldn't read until it was finished to save myself from the suspense. Ill just have to live with the anticipation of waiting for more of this fantastic story and such a great plot.

I normally don't do many reviews, but I just love this story.  It puts a new spin on the plot holes that JKR left in the books.  I can't wait to see how you finish this off!  I will be waiting anxiously for an update!

Oh God. Poor Severus. I'm so afraid of what he will be going back to. I still harbor the hope that Hermione can find another time turner of her own and go back to save him.... Maybe?It should be very interesting to see what Severus wrote about her in his diaries. I can hardly wait to read that. ;)Great story.

No need to cringe.  As JKR often says, an author needs to have the courage to be cruel... although a bit of wisdom about when not to be would, I think, have made her books even better than they are.  I'm really interested in the question of whether this is going to end up having a happy (that his HGSS) ending or not--I can see Hermione's understanding of just how important she was to Severus helping her finally to move on; but I can also see her being inspired to do something rash and brilliant....  Thanks for the update; I (obviously) very much look forward to the next update.  This has turned out to be a brilliant premise.

I am not sure why I haven't read this until today...  Started at the beginning and made my way here.  I LOOOOOVE your young Snape--very playful and sexy, and not too sullen.  I like the inverted Time Turner theme and the way you have Snape discover his future.  Wonderful!  Except for the eeevil cliffie...  Please write more!

Aw, come on! Is it fair of Harry to throw all that guilt onto Hermione's head.  There is love and then there is LOVE.  Everyone else sees she and Ron as 'LOVE' and really, I think she felt it as 'love'.  Tight friends, but not lovers.  Yes, most of the time Ron was a lovely young man, but the times he felt slighted or put down [without any bases for it], he totally flipped on them. More than once.  You don't need someone like that as a friend, much less a spouse; never knowing when they're going off on you.  You do make a good point that Ron needed someone who would put him first ... so that is the someone he should be looking for, not Hermione. 

I love the fact that you have Regulus and Severus' friends.  It was one of the many scenarios that I came up with in my head as to why Sirius and James hated Snape so vehemently.  Being a Slytherin was the catalyst, but brother stealing would hurt Sirius deeply. I figured that Severus took the younger Regulus under his wing just to tick off Sirius and the two actually became friends.  Regulus would feel abandoned by his big brother and here was this guy that Sirius hated ... it's a natural.  The nightmare was awful though.  But it brings to mind just how much annomosity there might have been among the Death Eaters that Snape eventually had a higher ranking than most of the Purebloods.  [I miss contemplating Harry Potter.] 

Oh I loved this chapter! The snarky dry humor of Portrait-Severus, the vulnerability of Young-Severus, the guilt of Hermione, the burgeoning UST between YS and Hermione - that just might turn the tables on the whole thing!

OMG this is just getting better and I'm sure that I probably dated a few of these arrogant young Mancunian guys in the 70s and 80s just like young Severus. Hell I think I married one...and thirty years on still going. Mine is a silver-tongued Slytherin as well. I just have one fear though...hopefully at some point Portrait Severus is going to disappear.....I think you know what I mean but no doubt you couldn't possibly comment! Great stuff! Really enjoyed this chapter! Am still struggling with the fact that young Snape won't want to see if there's any wiggle room to prevent his death.  Portrait Snape might be all noble acceptance and snide authority, but young Snape has more raw edges than that.  His portrait has told him he doesn't cause his mother's death.  But clearly she dies anyway.  That seemed to be the key to young Snape's loyalty.  That understanding, and knowing the exact circumstances of your demise is a terribly powerful tool....  And now he knows how Regulus died, rather than the myth the Dark Lord had implanted.  History is written by the winners, after all.  Mmmmmm!

I love it!  I haven't read anything like this and hope you will update soon.

WOW! I can't imagine a young man having to process all that information and learning that above all, he didn't/wouldn't have any peace in his life to speak of, let alone include it in a book! How absolutely horrid that must feel.

This is so wonderful and you just keep capturing Young and Older Severus' voices and personalities brilliantly. Please take this as a compliment...I live in the Industrial North of England and I think you're one of my American cousins and this is a perfect rendition of what "might" have occurred had Rowling (bless her) not given him such an ignoble demise. Okaaaaay... So... Still intrigued! Loved the sartorially critical moment - although it was pretty rich comjng from someone happy to loll around in his pants...!  Why does Portrait Snape want him to read about his life?  Mmmmmm.... Can you cast a replicating charm on a person...? Keep 'em coming!

This story is ridiculously, fantastically, mindblowingly awesome!!! I've never seen a plot quite like this, and I'm loving it!
