Can't you get McGonagall to send them on an ingredient harvesting expedition where they get stranded in a snowstorm and seek shelter in a cave and have to shag like nifflers to keep warm? Just a suggestion. any scenario where they have to shag like nifflers is fine by me! Bring on the gratuitous smut! But don't forget the fluff. Smutterfluff. Fluffersmut. Whatever. Gx

Yay! You updated! And you gave a sexy cliffhanger -- way better than those bitter reclusive angry!snapey cliffhangers...  But can you please get to the monkey here? I feel like this Ginny sub-plot is pretty pointless at this point and it doesn't seem like there's really any new information in this chapter. Have you written yourself into a corner? Right now it seems like you don't want anything to happen until she graduates and then KABAMM! However, it would be a little more interesting if your dear characters would take more risks and if something would happen... I still love your story and thank you as always for this brilliant look at Severus as an artist.

It seems my talent for onomatopoeia is a bit fail; there is no way I can really capture the sound of a fangirl's brain essploding from squee overdose. Your story continues in unabated awesome, I mean I just stopped playing Skyrim to read this chapter. Srsly.You rock :D

Poor kids.  The torture of waiting.  Lovely chapter.  I chuckled a bit a Ginny's guess.  I did quite enjoy that Hermione used a compulsion charm on the letter to Severus, that was quite clever.  Looking forward to the next chapter.  Thank you for sharing. 

Oh, Sunny, I've missed you.  I'm glad to see you back, and in fine form, I might add.I am so glad that Severus read her letter - as if he had any choice.  Ha! - and that he was willing to end the denial.  I sort of admire the fact that he is being so mature and proper about things.  It makes him more attractive (as if that is necessary) to me.  But, while Severus and Hermione really need to stay cool for the next few months, I don't see how it would be a problem if Sydney and Grace were to run across each other outside of school and let the chips fall where they may.I thought it was a good sign when Severus made an aside to Blaise before class.  He might as well have just peed on Hermione to assert his alpha male status :)  I will admit that I kind of wanted to see Severus and Blaise get into it over Hermione.  I guess there is still time.And speaking of Blaise, you need to find him a woman.  He is quite a catch and it will do him no good to continue to pine over Hermione.  I'd be happy to help out, although I suspect I'd have to fight off swarms of fangirls.The Kingsley thing was priceless.  Ginny Weasley, junior sleuth.  Or not.The end was hopeful.  That's all I am going to say because you have a history of evil misleadings.Ok, back to writing, you.  I have chapter twenty-five of this story on my Christmas list, and you are running out of time to get the next five out so you can make that deadline.  But I know you can do it.  ;)

I'm glad the "Blaise" thing is cleared between us. I hope she will be able to break through his resolve. I understand his motives but they both are miserable with this decision. I'm sure you'll find a way for them to be together soon.

Squeeing and squirming! Sev's abstinence is causing problems with my breathing regulation - *squirming again*- hehe! Wonderful chapter - all the characters are wonderfully adding on to the dilemma (love the pun on 'hard' during Potions), so glad Hermione took the risk & wrote Sev AND enspelled him to read it- serves him right - HA! Bravo, Hermione! Aww, poor Severus,  he's so controlled Can't wait for more, sunny!

Torture. It's made even painful because Hermione is finally showing small signs of her own maturity, so there's less of the silly to offset the sad. Lovely, poignant communications between the two. (Well, mostly. Snape's preoccupation with his... affliction keeps it all from becoming too maudlin.) But, LOL-Kingsley-Shacklebolt-!!!!, Ginny!!!  Bwahahahahahaha! And your Blaise? Such a good guy. He deserves a happy future.

Looking forward to more, especially to that future Blaise-centric tale you didn't quite promise us.

Loved the chapter, divine frustration going on there with the lead couple. And it was a GREAT twist with Ginny -- adding up two and two and making 17 :)

How sad.  The timeless struggle between what is right and what is easy...  What a drag.  Why can't I get what I want when I want it?  It is all I can think about.What they need is a BIG distraction.Perhaps there is another Dark Lord in the offing or one of them could end up in a coma only the other one can cure or Crookshanks gets possesed by the spirit of Quirrel or ...But in real life, how often do BIG distractions show up just because we need them.  Usually we just have to muddle through one day at a time, one minute at a time.  There is no convenient rescue from facing the truth... or is there?The Christmas holidays are coming so why not dig out the old glamour, pretend to be who you aren't, and go out gallivanting with your man?  If you pretend your troubles don't exist doesn't that make them not exist?  After all, Hermione's troubles aren't Grace's troubles, are they?  Severus' troubles aren't Sydney's troubles, are they?Life got you down?  Here's the solution: be someone else!  Nothing works quite so well as refusing to face things.
