Hello all, I am a 53 year old from NZ. Although SSHG is how I started and still my main pairing, I'll give pretty much any pairing a try, whether it be reading or writing. Sev and Herms need a bit of variety at times. ;)
Reviews for Limited Exposure
It's been several chapters and I've been lacking my duty of getting you a review. See… the thing is that after reading each chapter that makes your story better and better (just like wine… and my look after you have a couple of glasses of wine… *cough*) I find myself delighted reading all the reviews. So is a double pleasure to read your story with all the suspense and tension buildups, but also reading what all the avid reviewers write to you as well. Is like another story after the story; all the assumptions and guess, the criticisms and pleadings, the hopes and desires. Your witty answers and comments… Fabulous I tell you, just FAB!
About our very mature and responsible (but hard headed… both of them) Severus, can I suggest a little bit of magic? Maybe have Hermione work on spelling/creating 2 mirrors and self writing books that will work as a web camera. They can keep appearance but have some fun on their very guarded bedrooms/office until the time comes when there will be no consequences of doing something outside the rules of school. There is something to be said about visuals and you are very good at that.
Just a though…
PS: did I tell you I love your work? No? Well, I don’t… just kidding, I do… love your work I mean! See you in the mirror.

Never thought of mirrors. Sort of the magical world's equivalent of cybersex. Perhaps she can just write him naughty stories at the end of her essays, and he can reply in the margins with animated cartoons... ;)And finally, the moonstone should be ground finely, or it will clump and cause the potion to turn crimson... a little like your cheeks when you realise I am here at my brewing station wearing no underwear, waiting for my Potions professor to stand behind me and grind his... You get the picture! :)
what a great story! I adore severus snape and if i can't have him, then hermione will be my stand-in!*grins*
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
I think she'd rather be a lie-in... ;)
...Then again, it might be Ginny. What would Snape be doing in the Gryffindor dormitory? Still. Don't torture us!
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Good point. ;)
Oh FFS, Hermione, keep Blaise OUT of your room!Well well, Sunny, you've dredged us out of one cauldron only to throw us into another. Severus shows up, deciding to Talk It Out, only to find Hermione reclining with ANOTHER SLYTHERIN.So now we'll have weeks and weeks of more misunderstandings. Sigh.I...love the story, but I can't take too much more suspense. :(( Don't be too hard on us...
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Hermione really isn't thinking about appearances, is she? :)
Hurra! And... uff.Hurra! that the man finally put two and two together. Finally. (Well done, by the way, with all the red herrings planted throughout. The tattoo? The hair? Her address? Any of them could have been resolved differently.) Yep, I can get behind Severus on this one. At least the amount of time he's spent figuring it out has shortened the wait before she's out from under his tutelage. Uff! that poor Hermione doesn't quite see the reasoning behind his decision. I suppose... ideally, there's some middle ground, where they can come to terms with one another and the situation and actually communicate, but I'm hoping that their poor communication skills indicate that we've still got quite a few chapters to go! First questions first... Who is our mysterious, eavesdropping lurker? My money's on Ginny. The question is how much of that conversation she heard - Severus' name, perhaps?

(And... I'm sure you know this, but karelia's right!)
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
XXX just walked in at the last bit where they are laughing and Blaise is lying there on her bed sporting a rather impressive bulge. Didn't hear anything incriminating! :)
Response from ofankoma (Reviewer)
Phew!
hmmm. I am guessing/hoping that is Ginny that gasped. Great chapter....feed up more and soon! :)
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Thanks! :)
Sunny, Sunny, Sunny ... my feelings for you are all jumbled up with love and hate warring for dominance. What you do to me!I can respect Severus for recognizing that it is inappropriate for him to be with a student. As much as I hate it for the purpose of this story, he is right. And it doesn't feel like he is self-loathing and unworthy, but more that he is a rational adult with more perspective about what is at stake than Hermione has. Still, it wouldn't have hurt anything for him to sit down with her, talk it out, and come up with a plan, even if it meant waiting until the end of school to act on their feelings. He ought to know Hermione won't give up that easily.I was thinking the whole time, that maybe Blaise needs to have a talk with Severus. Not that it is any of his business, but since he won't speak with Hermione it is the next best thing. And in the conversation it might be helpful for Blaise to let on the fact that he is in love with Hermione, so if Severus is going to cast her off, he'd like to pursue her. Now, having finished the chapter, I suspect that no longer needs to happen. I don't think that it was Severus who overheard the bedroom conversation, but I have no doubt that he will hear about it.And Blaise ... *drools (and probably other things too impolite to mention!)*
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Wipe off your keyboard, woman, and get on with that drabble. I'm expecting big things of you! It's so hard being the mature adult, but someone in that relationship has to think of little things like consequences! :)
Once again, you are evil! I usually love Ginny, but...little sneak...although I'm only assuming it was Ginny.Loved how Snape didn't ruin everything like in some stories.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Couldn't have him being too predictable! ;)
Oh my God! Finally an update from sunny. I was getting twitchy, you know. Ahem. Your Severus and Hermione interactions are fabulous, but I find myself loving Blaise more and more. Can't wait to find out who gasped!
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
I was a bit slow this week. Busy, busy, busy! Blaise is kind of sweet. :)
Well. Another cliffie. Imagine that. I'm shocked. *grumps*Am I a bad person if I admit just how much I chuckled at Severus' discomfort upon realizing who Grace was and his 're-living' of certain moments? And his thoughts of what Minerva was going to do to him. HAHAHAHAHAHA Those firsties DO need to practive their spells.I appreciated the 'high road' he took and avoiding her seems a sound plan, even if not a happy one. Herms certainly isn't the one to do it it seems.Well, I hope to hear that you've finished the next chapter and it is already getting beta'd.....p-p-p-please
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
You're not a bad person. Do you know how much fun I had making him do that? Herms is definitely on the live now, regret later plan. Someone has to be the mature one. :)
Ginny!!! she's got to be the gasp!
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
LOL. Can't say too much. ;)
I sgree with Karelia. You ARE evil! I would wager it was Ginny sticking her head in the door. The news will be all over the school within minutes and Severus will have heard within the hour. Cruel, Sunny, cruel! ^_^
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Hehe. But I like being evil! :P
I think the Fates were against me today preventing me all day to find a quiet half an hour to myself. Anyway, I must say WHAT DOES SEVERUS THINKS HE IS DOING? You know, he deserves what he got for spying on her. A little, healthy competition might not hurt... Well, I take that back. Knowing Severus he'll wallow in misery deciding he did the right thing and she's better off without him. I really hope Hermione will NOT be patient about it.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
LOL. Who said it was him? ;)
Response from snitchette (Reviewer)
*sigh* I'd hope for one moment that you might forget yourself and reveal a little tidbit of information. I suppose I'll have to wait like everyone else *wink*
I really don't know what else Severus could possibly do. He can't be with a student if he wants to keep his job. He can't even discuss it without they winding up in a forbidden clinch. The only option is to wait out the year to see if she's still interested after graduation. And now he'll hear she's moved on with Blaise. Looks like all rainy weather from here.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
He is in a bind, isn't he? She's too tempting, so he's avoiding the issue, but that's not helping either. :)
Sunny, you have got to stop these cliffies with the people hiding in hallways and alcoves and behind doors. Goodness! I'm afraid to go out in the dark for fear of running into a scary potions master, or herbology student, or pure-blood rich boy, or whatever. I mean, REALLY!
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
LOL. And there was I thinking you'd be out there wandering in the hope of finding one! ;)
At least Severus accepted Hermione's feelings as real. I was afraid he would find out and assume she was setting him up for a mean trick.**adds name to the queue for Blaise**
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
I think I'm going to have to set up a Blaise Zabini Fan Club. :)
Ginny is guessing wrong, I'm guessing. Ah, stupidly noble Severus. I love reading about him.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
He tries to do the right thing... :)
You are evil. Now what kind of chapter is this. It only wets the appetite. I need it quench. I am glad he knows but he is so bloody stubborn. Please update soon.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Sad thing is, he has the moral high ground! :)
Yay! This new chapter just started my day off on a great note! Except for the eevil cliffie. I am bitter about that. As per usual, I re-read the last chapter to get it fresh in my mind, even though I have read it several times already. And then, at the bottom of the page, with anticipation and excitement, clicked on the newly appeared 'Next Page' link. And there it was! A new chapter!I am guessing it is Ginny at the door, and that she will start spreading tales of Hermione and her obsession with Slytherins. I am also guessing that Neville and Draco have figured Something Out, and that rumours may start from that source if Blaise doesn't handle things carefully. And that Severus will sulk for a long time, and there will be lots more chapters, including some with eevil cliffies. So, am I right? You can tell me; I can keep it secret!
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Good try, but... no, not telling! :D
OOOOOO! Merlins Balls! he knows.that was a great chapter. and who was that at the door?.....more please!~ thankyou :O)
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Thanks! :)
That went far better than I expected it to. I always picture far more hexing, verbal fighting, and possible legilimency whenever these two have a major misunderstanding... At leastbefore they calm down enough to think rationally and make up. I do hope her single mindeness winds up merging with his very real reality problems and they compromise. I very much want Severus to call her Grace once he's done sulking or at least in private.I'm considering putting a limit on your mysterious-strangers-around-the-corner/door who happen-to-over-hear-a-conversation cliffhangers. *Grabs a can of angst* I know we're going to need this for the next chapter of two.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Yeah, I'd better stop that. :0
Oh, crap. Yet another misunderstanding, ahoy!
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Oh, yeah! :)
Arrrggghhh! You would leave us with another torturous cliffhanger!?!?!?!? Arrrggghhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Phew! Had to get that off my chest. Wonderful chapter. I loved Severus’s reactions. He was so honest – not denying his feelings, but not ready to give into them and cry “Fuck the rest of the world!” either. I’m not sure Hermione was able to appreciate his choice for what it was, but it rang true for me.
I still love you Blaise. I love that he’s still there for Hermione. I love that he hasn’t tried to take advantage. I love that he can step outside his emotions an view the situations – his, as well as Hermione’s and Snape’s – with logic. You’ve created this fairly perfect boy (if one ignores the peepshow) and conveniently left him single and pining! Can you stay “instant fantasy”?
Of course, you are the Queen of the Deft Delay, so I need to grumble a bit over being forced to wonder just who was the door. (Ron? Harry? Ginny? Luna? Are they going to think Blaise is Hermione’s man?!?!?!?!?)
Thanks for the entertainment. As always, I'm panting for more.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Thank you! :)
Response from TeaOli (Reviewer)
No, dearest Sunny, thank you! Waking to this chapter was the best part of my birthday so far.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Ooh! Happy Birthday! xx
Oooh, who was listening at the door?! Ah, poor Severus. So glad that he know knows it's Granger. Can't wait for the next update.
Response from sunny33 (Author of Limited Exposure)
Thanks. :)
