Hermione, as Headmistress, commissions a portrait of Severus Snape. The results are more than she expected.

I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

I don't usually read anything where Severus doesn't survive after the war, since he is the reason for my fanfic obsession. But this intrigued me for some reason. I really like the prologue and feel reeled in for more. Somehow I'm wondering if there is more to this than first impressions seem to suggest.

I usually don't write anything where Severus doesn't survive. LOL. I really fell for this prompt and had to do it, though. I'm glad you're intrigued!
Why don't they consult with Franco DiGregorio as the artist who painted Severus?

See, now that's what I said! Hermione is a 'do it yourself' kind of person, and I don't think it's dawned upon her at this point.
Lovely chapter. I'm glad they got that settled and out of the way. Friendship, it's one way to begin I suppose :)

I definitely think that friendship is a great way to begin. lol.
She'll have to think outside the square... or the frame, at least! :)
Response from debjunk (Author of More than Brushstrokes)
LOL, she definitely will!
I do wonder how they're going to resolve THIS problem. This one is rather new!

LOL, yep. Lots of problems when you're in a painting. Research has always helped Hermione before. We'll see how it does this time around.
Overall I think Hermione is handling this situation very calmly. It must be due to Severus' presence :).
Response from debjunk (Author of More than Brushstrokes)
I think that's exactly it. And she's a thinker, not a panicker.
Darn! I would have loved to have someone notice Hermione and Severus in a bubble bath inside a painting! Heehee! But I guess I'll have to settle for inside a bowl with giant grapes instead.
Response from debjunk (Author of More than Brushstrokes)
lol! Yep that would have raised some eyebrows.
