Reviews for Journey to Redemption
I quite like your Andromeda! Wise and gentle, she might even make a nice match for SS, but I doubt that this tale will go that way. A lovely chapter! Glad to see Little Teddy and poor, sad Andromeda.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you! I had a lot of fun with Andromeda, too.
I really liked the character of Andromeda in this chapter!

Thank you! I had a lot of fun participating in the challenge!
I liked this as the first of his trying to do good. It was humorous to see him deal with the portraits, but also meaningful that he helps Harry.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
I enjoyed writing it too! Thanks for reviewing x
'As though Druella Rosier Black would ever do anything so uncouth as roll.' ^ Hee. Nice touch.I very much enjoyed the image of Severus's face on Teddy's, lol. I'm glad it amused him.I'm curious as to whether or not Hermione is stalking Severus, though. ;)Looking forward to more. ^_^
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you!Stalker!Hermione, wouldn't that be something! We'll have to see what my team mates have imagined.
Hello, interesting chapter and I like the fact that Severus doesn't come across as too good to believe like the first two chapters of the story - this is much more subtle, which I like.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you! In the first chapter he's trying to work through something that's bothering him and as he moves through those issues, I suspect we will see him return to a bit more of what we're used to.
Wow, what a very touching chapter. I loved how Andromeda was able to help! And that little bit with Hermione at the end... Perfect! Much Love ~ Brena
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you! I think the different points of view can only be good for the situation.
Amdromeda is a brillliant woman. I completely agree with her. Altough, why she didn't just read her husband's journals is beyond me. Sure it might have druged up some old memories and the pain of loss, but they would have helped and possibly helped the process of healing htose old wounds. I agree with Severus, seeing his face on a 5 year-old would have been adorable!
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
On a thumbnail, Andromeda just wasn't ready yet to read the journals. I agree that at some point she needs to read them and move the rest of the way through her grief, but for now she's letting other things occupy her time.I think if she had remembered about the charm, she might have gone ahead and read the journals herself, but since Severus was there, she took advantage of the chance to continue her avoidance.
Thank you so much for another great update, you portraited Andromeda brilliantly!
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you! I love working with the less-known characters. There's a certain amount we know about them, but not so much that we have to worry about going OOC.
I love that Severus is not sinner who has done terrible things and wronged the whole Wizarding World in this. He confessed, repented, and atoned for his sins a long, long time ago. Andromeda understands that.I wish he had stayed longer with Andromeda and developed a relationship with her, I find Hermone particularly annoying and obnoxious. If they were real people he would strangle her within ten minutes of being alone with her. A 43 yr. old man doesn't need a trophy know-it-all; he needs a real woman in his own age range, someone who understands the aches and pains of middle age and the joys of real life and sitting back and watching the world go by. He needs a woman who has the maturity to be sexually experienced and know how to please a man of his experience without degrading herself and expect him to please her as well. He needs a woman who will demand and equal give and take in their relationship and their sex life, and also not expect a man his age to be able to get it up on a moments notice or expect him to still have a morning glory every single morning. The ideal woman for him would be post menopausal, that way neither one of them would have to put up with PMS and it's effects. If he has to have a young trophy wife, I'd like it to be Luna and watch the irresistable force overcome all the objections of the old immovable object. They are such opposites that their personalities and qualities complement each other in every way.

The die is already pretty well cast for this story, of course, but I think some Andromeda-related plot bunnies have been nesting with the members of team Mars. Who knows what other fics could come of it?There is a different Severus Snape within the mind of every author and reader and his character tends to get stretched a bit in different directions to accomodate everyone's ideas. The other characters are the same way. I have a cast-iron mental picture of the one relationship and because of that I simply can't see it as a romance, but others don't share my handicap where that's concerned.Thank you so much for reveiwing this! I know it's not your usual genre to read, so it means extra.
Response from Trickie Woo (Reviewer)
You're not the one with the handicap!

That was fun.
Author's Response: Cheers! lol xx
This continues to be a nice story. I really expected him to meet with some resistance. I was pleased as Punch that has not been the case so far. He was due for some motherly advice and it was nicely done through Andromeda. Hope he took the finding a girl and settling down bit to heart ;)
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
I'm not sure if he'll meet with any resistance along the way. I think the greatest quantity was within himself, and maybe that's what Draco wanted to point out by suggesting this journey. Who knows? There may be some pocket of angry people somewhere. There are four chapters yet to go.Thank you for the review!
Oh, Rose! How fun! Andromeda gave him some very good advice.Teddy is so cute! I can just see him mimicking Severus. Too funny. And the best part is he wound up chatting with Hermione at the end.I think I've seen everything now! LOL, if this is going where I suspect, I think it's the only time I'll see you involved in such a tale!
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Oh, honey, you know me too well! LOL! Enjoy it while you can!I would have written this chapter just for the opportunity to put Severus's face on a five-year-old.
Andromeda Tomks is a very wise woman. I do hope Severus takes her words of advice to heart. Talking about everything to Hermione is bound to help, too!
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you! Andromeda's has a point of view that allows her to shed a certain light on things, and Hermione is becoming a friend. Between the two, maybe he'll learn something.
Andromeda added some nice thoughtfulness there.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you! It's always fun to add a bit of the little-used characters.
This was a really good turn at this story. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you very much!
I wonder if she planned that meeting...clever Hermione. Maybe not, and the stars are lining up, but it's just so perfect that a window of opportunity opens up. Looking forward to more.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
My intent here was to show that she's becoming a sounding board for Severus as he's working through his issues. I think it just shows something they enjoy in common, but maybe she's stalking him. That's for my team mates to decide, LOL!Thanks!
Sage advice from one who knows. Let it go, Severus. Nice continuation of the story.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you. I think the story will continue to please everyone.
I'm glad he spoke to Andromeda. I like that he and Hermione seem to be becoming friends.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you! I think we'll that friendship continue and perhaps others develop as well.
Andromeda has a lot of common sense. Hopefully he will listen to her.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you! Severus has a lot of common sense, too. I think he'll eventually take what she said to heart.
A very good chapter. I liked the interaction between Severus and Andromeda; I even cried a bit during their conversation. She made some excellent points, and I look forward to seeing what Severus makes of them. And, of course, I was glad to see Hermione chance in at the end of the chapter. Very good.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you! Andromeda has seen both two sides of the same coin that Severus has and can offer a point of view not available through the other characters I think. As for Hermione, it's a story about her, so she has to show up every so often. I think she makes a good sounding board, even if she can't really relate to his experiences.
I'm still torn between being rather bemused and sort of tickled by Severus likening himself to a scared kitten.... I think most of the people he knows would argue that his vitriol is a little worse than that, lol. ;)I very much enjoyed the notion of getting Phineas to help get rid of Mrs Black and I can just imagine the Minister for Magic going bonkers as a result. Just think what Phineas can bargain for when the MoM is desperate to get rid of him. :DIt's nice to see Harry and Hermione being very mature about this. (I'm guessing that the Ron-hole is deliberate, lol?) It's interesting to see Severus start to interact with the two of them as though they are adults rather than children.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
hmmm. Well, Severus wasn't comparing himself to a scared kitten, really. The author was comparing his responses to those of a scared kitten, which, if you've ever been on the recieving end, can be pretty vicious and leave long-lasting damage (been there, done that!). Does that help you get your head around that a bit? lol.Yes, the Ron-hole was deliberate, as it should have been in the real Epilogue in my opinion! lol...Thanks for reading and reviewing, let us know what you think of the next chapter x
This was a wonderful chapter. It's good that Hermione can see were Severus is coming from.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thanks Sevibaby. I think Hermione is mature enough to understand, and be a true friend.
Cute chapter :) Liked the interraction between Hermione and Snape!
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thanks, brandy, I'm pleased you enjoyed it x
"Severus sighed. He had been out-Slytherined."This line is absolutely brilliant. And this chapter is really smoothly continuing the previous one. Well done!
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thanks,
