Reviews for Journey to Redemption
I am enjoying the subtlety of this story. How Snape has changed -- or has he? I really liked the explaination that Hermione provided and that everyone else ignores -- this is the real Severus Snape. I look forward to the continuation of this chapter with the brewing. Thanks for posting, JoAnne

‘You know what, Hermione? A friendly Snape is even scarier than a scowling one,’ Neville said before taking a long draught from his cup of tea. Neville may be on to something there, but at the same time a nice change of pace. ;) Sounds about right that the ingredient that confuses everone is something so simple! Can't wait to see what the brewing process dregs up!

Sometimes the answer to a difficult question can be so simple, can't it?Thank you for reading and reviewing.
Too funny on Teddy copying Severus' face. Nice insight of Andromeda to realise this is as much about Severus healing himself as well as helping others. Nice that someone's questioning why he's doing it instead of blindly accepting without helping him in return.Interesting that he's returning to Hermione to share his experience with her...

Thank you! It's entirely too easy to think up the things a five year old might do, fortunately that's not the sort of thing I've ever had to worry about. :)
Oh the poor loonies stuck with old Mrs Black's portrait! Why the Janus Thickey Ward? Or is she now considered a "patient" there? ;)Nice touch of her asking him to call her Hermione.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
I thnk she fits in well on the ward! Mad as a box of frogs, isn't she!!
Good start, but it begs the question of what incentive does Draco gain for setting Severus on this path?
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thanks! Draco just wants to see Severus happy, which is incentive enough. :)
Interesting chapter and story.

Great! Loved it. A friendly Snape is scarier... that's hilarious. Thanks for a great installment.

*bows*Thank you for letting me entertain you :-) - and of course for letting me now that you liked it.
Well I love a friendly Snape. And maybe spending time with Miss Granger will help him develop more than a potion for her... *wink*

Only time - and my fellow team members - will tell us that ...Thank you for reading and reviewing.
A reason for them to spend lots of time together AND the possibility of helping the Longbottoms. What a treat! I liked Hermione's assessment of how Snape hasn't changed. Another great chapter!
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
She always was a sensible one, our Hermione.Well, the intention of the author was, to combine both, so Snape can make a big step towards following Andromeda's advice of finding a girl and settle down.Thank you for reading and reviewing.
Yeah, he is a bit scarier like this! LOL
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Isn't he?Thank you for reviewing.
Poor Neville!
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Yes, indeed. LOLI think he'll survive, though.Thank you for your review.
"A friendly Snape is even scarier than a scowling one"I've often thought that might be the case! The new Snape may not be eliminating Neville's boggart just yet. However, if that potion works, I'm sure Neville will be way too grateful to truly fear the man any longer!
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
I think Neville has grown up enough to be able to readjust his opinions, I think. He just needs time to do so.Thank you for R&R.
Good chapter. I liked that we got some Hermione POV. :) Good use of the words, too. xoxoox

Brewing together. Oooohhhh. Now it's getting personal ;)
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
That was the idea :-)Thank you for reviewing.
I still love that last line! Our whole story could turn upon it, if we chose. Great job!
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you for saying so, Rose :-)
Friendly Snape is really, really, scary! :)
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Yes, indeed :-)Thank you for reviewing.
this chapter moves the story forward nicely. i really like this idea of snape looking for redemption, but i like even more the insights of andromeda tonks, and seeing snape make space in his brain for a different way of seeing things. :)
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thanks! She's able to have a point of view that few other characters share, I think.
i liked this chapter a lot - nice humor while moving the plot forward. what a relief to be rid of that portrait! i'm very eager to see who else severus helps in his plan to make amends. :D
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thanks for reviewing! xx
I truly hope that Anromeda's words made him think - and overcome his guilt. Andromedy truly is a wise woman.I enjoyed seing Severus with Teddy a lot.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you! I enjoyed it, too.
Woot! Severus needs to start getting used to hugs...
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)

Hello. It's a bit odd to see a smiling, nice, pleasant Snape. I miss the snark.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
He smiles a lot when I write him to be truthful... I think he deserves a little happy!
that was really nice. i like Andromeda a lot.
Response from Mars1 (Author of Journey to Redemption)
Thank you! I really enjoyed working with Andromeda, myself.
Andromeda's advices are clever. He really should follow them, especially the part with a girl and children...
