Reviews for Quicksilver
"We have Percy at our mercy."^ Oh, dear, lol. Well, at least it rhymes even if everything else is wrong. :DI'm not patient enough to actually write down the math formula and see if it makes any sense--high school math, glah--but it's fun to see actual equations in fic when Hermione's going on about Arithmancy. And very clever of Severus to have a book of crosswords in there for emergencies. ;)
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
The aliens had a good plan except for a few small details. Glad the algebra didn't chase you off.
Hee, hee. Gotta love Severus' thoughts as he peruses that mag rag and mentally undresses the too-earnest Hermione as she tries to impress him with her knowledge of the gambling scam. And I'm glad somebody has finally commented on the fact that the aliens really are different... and subversive ... and about as good with English as a Chinese video game translator (scuse me--interpreter.).
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Severus's thoughts were quite logical, and I can sympathize with the aliens.
Love your Seeker, Ich-bin-ein Figjam. And the Ego Inflatus... and the... erm... Performance Enhancer. And the snappy dialogue. And poor Draco having to put up with his father. Thanks for making my evening.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
You are welcome! :)
oh geez, rhyming aliens. i love it :)
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
At least, they got part of our literary tradition straight. Thanks.
bahaha, sunny33, this was amazing. lucius' little blue bottle came out of nowhere!
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Just had to take him down a peg or two. :)
This is really amusing. I love it so far.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Glad you like it and thanks for reviewing.
Omg. This was such an awesome chapter. I loved how you used a crossword puzzle to get the words in! I also started cracking up when Severus made the "...collect you minus your inhibitions" comment. LoL!!! Great job, Amita! Much Love ~ Brena
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
The crossword recreation let the keywords be an integral part of the plot. Thanks.
So the aleins are the ones behind the sabatogue! But why on Earth take Percy? lol
I really loved Severus' inner dialogue. Hilarious!
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
The 'masterminds' have not yet been identified. The wizard world and perhaps we Mercurians are equally baffled by the choice of Percy. Severus is interacting with the lady on all levels.
Very amusing. The middle was confusing, but just loved Severus' inner dialogue.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Well, the middle was a combination of Arithmancy and alien thought processes while Severus had a more earthy view.
Great start, Stef! I love the mental picture of Lucius purring in Hermione's ear.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
YAY! Your comment has me grinning ear to ear, and it reminded me of Lucius' purr. ::Shiver:: Thanks.
I'm not sure what I think of this story so far, though I plan to continue reading to see where it goes.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Oh, please do! Team Mercury looks forward to seeing you at the next chapter. You never know what or who may pop up.
Well begun.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)

Hermione is such a swot.
Author's Response: Ahhh, why, yes. Yes, she is!! Lol. Thanks. =o)
wow! what a unique take on this challenge! this has definitely grabbed my attention. i look forward to reading more!
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Awesome. Thanks for stopping by to read and review. We will see you next chapter. =o)
This is a very intriguing start. I love that the setting of the story ties in with the challenge title!
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Thank you muchly! We look forward to seeing you next chapter.
Oh, what an interesting setting - an actual IQC. Brilliant move, that.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Thanks, apisa! We are so very glad you think so. =o)
Anything Intergalactic will catch my attention. This has the beginnings of a good mystery already. And the Master of Cover-ups is there to lead her astray. Love it!
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Yay! Thanks! Hmmm, I see Intergalactic has the same effect on you as: Oh, look! Shiney! We shall have to keep that in mind.
What an unexpected event, an actual intergalactic Quidditch match. Looking forward to seeing who this silent partner is, and to finding out if the teams are simply named for other planets or if they actually have other races of beings playing each other.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Well, I was under the impression there were other beings. And let's face it, the earth IS an awesome place. Thanks for reading and reviewing. =o)
that's an interesting start. clever use of the quidditch tournament theme. and of course, they'd only have beaten team mercury by flagrant cheating. :P
Response from kittylefish (Reviewer)
team venus! duh. mercury would only have beaten venus by flagrant cheating! (note to self - never write reviews at work, or if you do, read them through before pushing submit!)
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Lol, aww, we knew what you meant, dear. Though I'm not so sure Mercury is the guilty party here. They are looking more like the innocent bystander? Thanks for joining us on the ride.
Intersting ending. Just enough clues that might lead someone to thinking - but then maybe not. Looking forward to more. Sara
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Thanks, Sara. I'm very glad you are lookinjg forward to more. See you next chapter. =o)
Slippery Malfoys as usual. Is it Severus Snape lurking in the shadows. Intersting start
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
I believe it is him, but we will both just have to wait and see. One never knows with these sorts of things. Thanks.
Ooo, interrogate them both, Hermione! I'm sure you can find all sorts of ethical violations to prosecute (or take advantage of)! Great start!
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Lol. Indeed. Interrogations you say? Hmm, now that is an interesting thought. Thank you. =o)
I'll be excited to see how this story develops. Nice to have the Malfoys back to being cunning where, naturally, they belong.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Don't they, though? So glad you think so too. Thanks.
