Reviews for Quicksilver
So what are they going to do to the rope-tied fellow on her door step? Funny that he can get through walls but not rope. :)At least Percy is in love, or has the Nightengale syndrome. Cute story.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Simply had to give Percy some love after the ordeal he was put through...
Oh, god, this is inspired! Thanks for bringing back the kitten--I felt bad about leaving it out. And setting us up for a threesome, you wicked woman!
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Please don't feel bad about that at all; the scenes you wrote were all about Hermione out and about while the kitten is at home. I thrive on being wicked *grins* but it was your chapter that made it possible!
Poor Percy. He'll never live that name down. Wankers Weasley! ;)
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
I've become very fond of that name; doesn't it suit him perfectly? :P
Huh.Well, at least we know Snape and Lucius don't have the time or mental acuity to pull off the competition fixing. They seem to be fixated, themselves, unless keeping Hermione occupied is their end of the deal.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Who knows what their deal is...
not bad, not bad at allwell done
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
*laughs*Thank you! <3
This is just hilarious - in my opinion the best chapter so far. I creased up at the food "pellets" and strip crossword with a cheating bastard using yesterday's paper, but the crowning glory was the gamekeeper's daughter trying to teach "Wankers" to pick up sticks with his vestigial tentacle. Oh, to have been a fly on the wall!Wonderful stuff!
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Thank you! And thank you.
Ooooh, Strip Crossword?! C.U.N.T. ... Percy stuck in a giant... Oh my oh my oh my ... Lucius showing up at—well, I was going to say "wrong moment" but images of both men and a naked Hermione seems a lot like the "right" moment. Are you trying to kill me? The suspense is killing me, and I do not mean the outcome of the Intergalactic Quidditch Cup.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Well, Karelia's got the quill now, so you'll have to look to her. I just took Amita's crossword and ran with it :-)
Response from notsosaintly (Reviewer)
This is actually fun to read, all of you. I've done a round robin before--once--and it wasn't easy. But it is fun getting the torch passed to you. I need to see what Karelia has done. Have seen only a bit, but I'm sure she won't be writing a Hermione-sandwhich scene. *pouts*
Crosswords! What an excellent way to get those words in.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
The crossword ploy was intended as blatent, in-your-face humor.
The plot thickens ... and, oh goodness, the delectable Miss Granger. *thoughts of her between the delectable Lucius and the delectable Severus* Oh my, do I see the plot thickening some more? Way to take the Bludger and run, so to speak. Awesome addition to the story.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
LOL. You are making it sound like whipped cream with all that thickening and delectable fillings! :)
A writer after my own heart. I love torturing Ron. He is such a dolt... and that he never grew up is just so in-character, as far as I'm concerned. *lol*
Nice continuation and thickening of the International Quidditch plot. I am looking forward to more from your team!
Ooooh, Team Mercury has Lucius . Lucky, lucky team. Oh, that's right, luck has nothing to do with it.
Excellent start to the story. With a single chapter, I have understood the entire idea of Intergalactic Quidditch (I have been struggling, being out of the loop), so huge thanks for filling some potholes in my head. The writing was just amazing. The pictures you drew; the smells, sights and sounds that were sewn in seamlessly—the atmosphere was so palpable I felt I was there. (Of course, I put myself in Hermione's shoes, of course. Especially if Lucius is going to be involved in any way – as well as this new mysterious *cough* silent partner.)
Good tying together and extending the threads of the story.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Thank you! I've really been enjoying the experience.
LOL, at least Percy likes her! Why didn't Hermione question the dude outside her apartment? Oh, yeah, she was with Severus... that's enough to distract anybody.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Heh, would you question some alien if you were about to jump into bed with Severus? :P
OMG Hechicera! This was awesome. Seriously awesome. I was laughing out loud like a bunch of times. Honestly this was great. Fun & Sexy. Strip Crosswords... such a sneaky Slytherin! If I could, I'd totally vote for this. Much Love ~ Brena
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
So glad you liked it. Thanks!
Still laughing... head back and raucously!
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Thank you...we aim to please :-)
Now I am getting really confused -- Who are these guys? I look forward to finding out more next time. Thanks for posting, JoAnne
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Confusion might be the appropriate response, a sign you're following the story.
So many questions ... the future chapters hopefully will anwer.Whoever thinks having Percy at their mercy will change the outcome, is surely on the loosing end.Loved Severus's thoughts on Hermione's Arithmantic calculations LOL
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Answer the questions? Beware the odes of Mercury.
Oh my, the plot thickens. I love Severus' internal monologue as he looks at the magazine :)
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Do you think Severus is the odds-on favorite?
I'm sorry to say so, but I've found the chapter was a little confuse with all the changes in POV. I hope it clarifies itself in the future.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Could we say that this chapter alienated you? More seriously, the formatting indicates the different points of view. View this as an injection of scifi into fanfic.
???? What? This chapter was very strange. Who has Percy? And why do they believe he's so important? Weird.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
This chapter isn't strange, it's alien. For his importance, try rereading the aliens' reading of the Earth sagas.
And still the plot thickens. I am afraid to know what is in the Cosmic Sauce. Loved Snape's thoughts when Hermione was explaining the scam. And Percy is the key person!? Hmmm... I guess if you are on the outside looking in, he may look important. He sure thinks he is :) Looking forward to whatever comes next!
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Thank goodness the plot isn't being thickened by CosmicSauce. Severus's thoughts were in a higher dimension.
"Surrender. We have Percy at our mercy."Well, it does rhyme well. However, Percy is the key person to Brit society?!? Bwahahahahahahaha! That alone convinces me the Slytherins have nothing to do with this! Surely Hermione will come to the same conclusion. I can't wait!
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
It not only rhymes, it scans. :) Could this episode be a ploy to convince investigators that the 'masterminds' do not understand Brit society?
Oh, that was hysterical. I loved it.
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
Great. We're writing this for our amusement of course.
I liked his thoughts while she was explaining the betting scheme. LOL
Response from Mercury (Author of Quicksilver)
I bet he had schemes of his own.
