Old bastard.

(P.S. - what is this "incident"? Hopefully the upcoming chapters will tell!)

LOL. Talk about mixed messages! :)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Oh, yeah. He's so smoove.

sunny33

He's such a chicken! :)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

And a control freak...this particular incident is referenced in a later chapter. Where there's Veritaserum to make things interesting.

What a thoughtful present from Severus. Pass the kleenex, that little exchange made me tear up. I don't usually like Snape/OC pairings, but I like Rawa.

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

I'm so glad you like her. I should never admit this, but I don't usually like Snape/OC either. I've actually had Rawa growing in my mind ever since GoF came out and we learned about Beauxbatons and Durmstrang--I started thinking, what about Latin America? The romance with Snape actually developed pretty late in my conceptualizatin of the story. They just kept interacting so much that it was hard to make them behave.

Nice gift, sev! :)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

See? Deep in his cranky, curmudgeonly heart...

Aww, he cares. :)

Bad Narcissa!

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Very astute of you :-)

Oh, Wow

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

What can I say?

LOL.  Cheeky bugger! :)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Well, there are cheeks, and then there are cheeks...

Oh, I'll bet he wasn't unmoved on the inside! :)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

LOL...or on the outside, either. I actually had a detailed exchange with my beta when writing this chapter about exactly how much the ubiquitous frock coat would conceal...

Wonder how losing the Horcrux affects Harry?

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Well, in my idioverse it frees him up to go be a normal kid and not be so integrally tangled up in the anti-Voldemort struggles. But he still has to get that little piece of himself back.

Eww. Snogging Voldemort voluntarily.  Now that's dedication to the cause! :)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Yes, I pretty much require that all my partners have a nose.

sunny33

That skill could come in very handy! :)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Oh, the fun is just beginning.

I'd prefer Snape over Sirius any day! :)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Oh, my, yes. Whatever his faults, Snape's a grown-up. Although it's always been my suspicions that Sirius Black was swingin' some pipe beneath those robes.

Neat spell.  Had Draco all sewn up! :)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Yes, as my grandmother used to say, "Everybody likes a little, but nobody likes a smart."

sunny33

“Surely,” she mimicked him, “you must have some compelling reason for being so rude.” Oh, good one! :)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

We've all got our limits.

Aha. Altitude sickness. :)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Yep. It's a bitch.

oh Gosh, I would never have thought that I would find a story that would mix HP and indigenous cultures. I must ask you, where are you from?I'm from Peru, South America so I have a bit of an understanding of this. Ama quella, Ayahuasca... that's quechua! I'm not myself from any Andean group but as a Peruvian (Peru was the center of the Inka culture and many others before it) I've grown up surrounded by it. It's part of our heritage after all.I'll follow your story with interest!Keep on writing, please!Jimena

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

I’m so excited to have a reader that will get all the references! ¡Qué buenoooo!I have been thinking about this ever since I read GoF and they introduced the idea of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. I started thinking about the possibility of a similar school in South America, and the idea just grew and grew.

Response from MidniteOil (Reviewer)

:D So you speak Spanish as well? That's exciting. Now that I think about it, 'Soroche' is the word we use for the illness people get whenever they go to a high territory. "Mal de altura", it's called. So, I guess the name is not only a coincidence? I guess I'll wait and see. :D

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Metáfora, lapsus teclae :-)

This story has great potential, I look forward to more!

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Glad you like it! Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Interesting! I can't wait to see where you go with it! Update soon!

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

There are two more chapters in the queue as we speak. I've finished writing it, so it's just a matter of waiting out the validation.

I think there are all to few good SS/OfC stories out there. This is one to be treasured - a very good read. And I loved the bi-linguality of it.
And I'm sure Rawa is right about the nose-part.:)

This is my second time reading this story- it's one of my favorites!  I couldn't believe I hadn't reviewed before, but now's my chance I suppose.  I love the story, I love getting the breath of Spanish now and then, and I have to love Rawa as well.  I'd love to see more of her, though it looks like you've put her story down for now.  Muchas gracias por un cuento fantastico,  -Liv

Response from Hechicera (Author of Soroche)

Oh, thank you so much! Reviews like this help me to get over the SS/HG awards :-)

How sweet. Love the cross spanish english fic.

I found this on the Tenth Anniversary list. Thanks for a delightful, well-paced read. There were too many great moments! Rawa is such a strong, awesome individual of an OC. Her sparring/flirting with Severus was fun and sexy, and I adore the intertwining of the different magical cultures. Plus the Sirius smackdown, of course!
