Reviews for Caramel
Ahhhhh! Must have more! I was so engrossed in the chapter that I didn't realize that I was at the end. I loved the dreams and will be interested to see where that goes. Keep up the great work (ie-get back to writing...now!)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Yes maam! *hops to it* Things are getting ever... more... interesting... :D
I loved this story! However, I've been searching all over the place for the sequel but couldn't find it! Is there still going to be one?
Finally! The UST is driving me crazy...:D Can't wait for the next chapter.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Ah, my ducky, the UST is supposed to drive you crazy! Yay it's working!
Uh, this was good, thank you! But he will be driving her away, won't he? As long as he remembers his boots, she will be fine, I think. :) She does morning runs and evening rund, does she have a routine?
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
I think she prefers to run in the morning, but if she's had a particularly stressful day, she likes to run then too.
Gracious! I think it is fabulous that they are having similar dreams... identical in their meaning while differing in their locations. The similarity in the music, both stringed instruments, evoke the music both had been listening to before they slept.I'm glad that Severus has decided to mend fences with Hermione. It is, after all, "a perfectly routine, workable arrangement. In fact, the sooner they smoothed over last night’s regrettable emotionalism and normalised their association, the better." Sounds right to me. Besides, he'd "just enjoyed the orgasm of the fucking year."Oh, how I love this story! Beth

Oh hai! I cannot believe it's been two weeks and I haven't replied to you. You = good and faithful reader. Good on Severus for getting some action, eh? If only in his dreams...so far. ;)
Love this chapter! Gosh I can't wait to see how he approaches Hermione about it.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Oh man, you left this so long ago! Thanks so much for taking the time to send me some love. *sends love back* :D
Fuck a motherfucking duck. That expression is priceless! :)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
~snrk~ Glad you enjoyed it! *waves
leave it to snape to make things worse. he can be such an ass sometimes. (i discovered the smileys lol)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Yes, that was some bad, bad behavior. What a baby. To him I say: . To you I say:
that was sweet of her to leave tea for him. and severus in a bath? mmmm
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
It was very kind of her, and really rather adorable. Nekkid Severus, happy thought... :D Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Gads, such an A/N!!! Now I feel I should write a review or live in shame.
Such talent you have. First story? Wow. It amazes me that people take an idea and make a whole story out of it all. Especially one that is so good. Yes, I liked it and I will be looking for the sequel.
From the reader p.o.v. I must thank you. You were rather consistent with updating and that makes a story so much more enjoyable.
And AD is probably right, killing him would be easier now - damned cruel, insensitive manipulator.
Still going great! Do you have an idea of how long the story is going to be (not that I want it to end of course lol I'm just eagerly waiting for more!)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Hiya. The story is still in its first half (I know!). I'm sticking to canon events up through the end of book 7 (minus epilogue). At first I thought it was just going to be a quick angst fest, but now I can see it'll be probably 40ish chapters. *headdesk* Wish me luck!
Response from Merlina Thalia (Reviewer)
Good luck:) Lol.
It was only a matter of time before they had to cross this bridge, but now that they have crossed their Rubicon, the die is truly cast. They have no alternative to but to take a good hard look at themselves and at how they feel about the other. I thought it was so fitting that as each tried to come to understand what had led to such an unsatisfactory conclusion to the evening, they both listened to Dowland's Lachrimae pavan. Both are weary for rest and want "to sleep, perchance to dream." What a great chapter, Cori.Beth
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Hi Beth! The next chapter just went up and I am finally getting around to answering reviews. I always love to see yours :D. Yes, I thought the quarrel was important. He behaved so badly, like a petulant little boy, not even pouring her tea for her. Oy. They both really do need to examine their feelings. But will they, Beth? Will they?! Stay tuned...
Nice chapter, Hermione and Severus have their emotions on a nice hard simmer.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Yes indeedy *cackles madly* *stirs cauldron*
Poor Severus, jealousy is a hard and unrelenting taskmistress... But sometimes it takes dealing a hurt to someone in order to truly realise just how much they actually mean to you. The evolution of their relationship is enthralling to read, from each of their points of view--Hermione is realising that she barely really knows Severus at all, which is a step in a more mature direction for her emotions, and following that with the knowledge that she genuinely likes him as a friend and would like to know more about him. Severus is hoarding the secret of his feelings of friendship for her in a dark unused corner of his heart, and now their argument has dragged it further out into the open. He doesn't want to think about it, but I suspect he's going to have to whether he likes it or not! Hopefully he will be able to believe that there is enough room in Hermione's heart for Ron, Harry and him. It doesn't have to be one or the other.I can't wait to read what happens next (bounces up and down)!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
No, it does not have to be one or the other, but he just has no context for understanding that. He wants her to himself (though of course he doesn't admit it yet). I am delighted the slow build is working for you, and that you're taking pleasure in reading the story. I love to hear it, so thanks for taking the time to tell me!
This is one of my favorite chapters so far. Severus starts out being his usual snarky self "I will not be chattered at," blah blah, and then three weeks later he's making them both tea and inviting her to stay in his rooms and mark while he brews! Bwahahaha!!! And of course, now that he's experienced having a competent TA, he'll never want to go back to doing it all himself...Sev's thoughts regarding the "dinner date" with Voldy and his DE's were hilarious, as well. I loved the line, Behind one of the curtains of his mind, he vowed to find an occasion to punch Lucius in the mouth. I'll bet Severus is as fiercely loyal to a friend as any Hufflepuff ever thought about being--as time goes on, he's not going to take kindly to crude comments about Hermione. He can't do anything about it overtly right now, but I imagine he'll be tallying up all the insults and adding interest for when he finally gets to collect.Bella found acrobats. For some reason, I found that amazingly funny! I just get this image of her proudly bringing them back to the others like a demented little six year old... "Look what I got!"
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thanks! I'm especially glad you liked this chapter, because I had written another one that I thought was going to be #16 and realized I needed something like this in there instead. I did appreciate the way SS decides to punch LM rather than hexing him--so much more visceral. :D And your description of Bella as a demented 6 year old made me laugh out loud.
"He looked thin, pale, and annoyed. He stood straight and still, a spare, dark column of contained mental, physical, magical power… Oh gods, he looked like himself." I ABSOLUTELY loved those lines, but especially "dark column of contained mental, physical, magical power…" That is one of the best descriptions of Snape I think I have ever read in fanfiction. Oh, yes! And more dark corners! Yes indeed.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thank you! That is how she sees him--both realistically and romantically. He just makes her heart sing. More dark corners (and the equivalent) coming up soon. Thanks again for the kind review.
It's a good job she decided not to plant some initials in those love hearts. But Severus and Hermione in dark corners I like. I wonder if they'll meet again there, after all it's their favourite spot.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Indeed! Initials would have been a disaster. I also am liking this particular dark corner and have further plans for it. :D
Lucky she didn't write initials on those little hearts. :)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Srsly! He would not have responded well to that, I think. Plus I have a very special scene saved up for when he figures it out. *cackles with glee*
I think Ron has a touch of green eye! :)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Definitely. But as H said, that ship has sailed. He's best sticking with the annoying girl who loves him.
LOL. Hermione proved him wrong! :)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Yep. He had to see it, grudging as he was about it. :D
Heh, lovelorn indeed. But if he only knew for whom!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Good job he doesn't know yet! I like him misconstruing it, bwahahaha.
I look forward to more chapters! Very good.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thanks
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
! More chapters are in the queue. I hope you enjoy.
ooh, dark corners... Severus, and dark corners. Yes... Yes please!!!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
I know! He is a dark corner man! Something or other along those lines coming up... oh, fairly soon...
Oh I can't wait for more updates!!! This is getting good. Glad to see Severus is on the mend.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thanks for the review! The pace and intensity of SS/HG interaction will be picking up fairly steadily now that he is a bit hooked too. *cackles* *rubs hands*
