What a cracker of a start! Fantastic!

From your last lines it seems that  you are directing the plot early and giving us thoughts on the possible delightful interactions. Although I suspect it will take a bit for him to re-frame his thoughts and towards those he had to suffer teaching.

My mind is going back to the Canon line where Dumbledore tells Severus (to his distress) that perhaps the hat sorts too soon...I am assuming this will be of significance(?) I did like the discussion on killing each other - priceless!
BTW Hermione's hair looks very reddish...

Oh, what fun!  There were so many great lines in this opening chapter, it's hard to choose amongst them, but I did really like:

‘No, I am not going to kill you,’ the old man responded, sounding slightly amused.

‘Why not?’ Severus asked querulously. ‘I’d do it for you, if you asked me.’

I nearly snorted soda out my nose when I read that exchange!  Beautiful.  Sev's characterization was spot-on, dialogue was brilliant, and talk about a fate worse than death: to go back to being a teenager.  Still, it could have been worse.  He could have had to go through puberty again!  No one should have to go through that twice...

I know this is going to be a great story, and I can't wait until the next chapter is up!

Ooh, I've read this sort of premise before but not with a threat of death.  And I like the prophecy.  I am looking forward to more of this.

Oh Wow!!  What an incredible start - as always your prose is so clean and crisp it is a joy to read - but what a premise!!!  Here's hoping for quick validation queues and super fast updates!

Is it wrong that that line made me laugh out loud? *Snicker*

Poor Severus ... by all accounts, his adolescent years were anything but stellar, and I imagine that as a supposedly new student that he will have to be re-sorted. I suspect his upcoming encounter with the Sorting Hat could be quite interesting indeed.

And then there's the Hermione factor.

You have me completely hooked already, I can't wait to see where you take us from here!

A brand new shiny Subversa fic! Hip hip hooray! I haven't spent much time lately on LJ so I've missed this news. I've seen a premise similar to this written before, but I'm sure you will bring your own unique perspective to it. I enjoyed the bit about Dumbledore not having asked Snape to kill him. Tee hee. I noticed that poor Lucius gets the axe at the beginning here. No messy plotline to anger Shiv, eh? I'll be keeping an Eagle eye out for the next chapter. I'm excited.

God, what a choice. A slow, painful death or being 17 again? Dumbledore sure doesn't make this easy.

Beautiful but sad chapter, It shows how truly alone Severus is and has always been.  If he lets Hermione in his life he will never be alone again, and besides that they are so darn cute together.
