Reviews for Just a Little Bit
From "Ashes, ashes," to "All love is dangerous," a breathtaking chapter...
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
I am glad you enjoyed it. I have to admit to being surprised myself at how things turned out. One of many things I love about writing.
*smiles quite contentedly from this:*If the smallest shift could incite a change in the very essence of magic, there was no way to guess the outcome of pushing him to admit that he was essentially good.Brilliant chapter.
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Thank you. This was the hardest one to write. So many tiny details in the midst of such powerful emotions.
I’m providing you enough rope to climb out of your hole. For once in your life, don’t hang yourself with it.Brilliant.I like the way you crafted the changing of her three... categories? Forces? Whatever you call them...
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Believe it or not, that was based on actual research. I am, at times, as much of a geek as Hermione.
Response from Ariadne AWS (Reviewer)
You? Research? As inconceivable as text-induced circulation issues not corresponding to libraries.
And now he can control it, indeed. This is my favorite chapter so far... the conversation between Snape and Sirius is perfect, and no less captivating or sharp the second time through.
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Thank you. For your help and for the love you've given this story in review.
This is just lovely, especially Snape's realization that it would be beautiful... *smiles contentedly* Such a fine bedtime story, indeed...
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Thank you! I wasn't sure if Snape's painful admission made sense to anyone but me.

Come sit by me. But do wait until the windchill isn't deadly.
Hmmm... interesting. and this: He wondered if they would notice. No telling where my money is on that question.Btw, I owe you a thank you for providing a bit of inspiration of which you're fully aware. Will say so in author's notes after the exchange is over. *blows kiss**reads on*
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Anything I can do to inspire you to write more, oh goddess of elaborate fics, is my utmost pleasure.
Response from Ariadne AWS (Reviewer)
*blush* *looks about with bovine confusion* *grins*
I'm in heaven: “Unless you know of another Bodleian Library, I believe that’s a safe assumption.”And poor Hermione, studying so hard her foot falls asleep... *eyes crinkle*
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Considering that I would never have heard of the Bodleian Library if not for you, I am delighted that you appreciate the reference. What sort of person is so engrossed in their studies that they don't notice a failure of circulation? Really, I'm surprised people bought that idea...
Response from Ariadne AWS (Reviewer)
As am I... it defies all laws of probability, even reason... *rolls eyes* As if that could ever happen...
”Though grace might explain certain things.”Indeed. I love the way you add that whiff of the Ministry in this chapter, as well... such a nice mysterious institutional villain it is, in contrast to things of the heart and soul which language does but echo off-key...
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Funny thing about benevolent-seeming institutions... they should not be trusted as a whole, though the people who make up their parts are best judged on an individual basis. ;)Thank you for all these kind reviews.

Kreacher won't...
As always, cherie, brilliantly written. Favorite line: She would have to adjust for contingency. *snrt* Really.
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Haven't you ever noticed Hermione stating the obvious in regards to what needs to happen next? Almost as if she were giving the readers clues or something.
Response from Ariadne AWS (Reviewer)
But... but... I don't get it.
... in which every line is a double entendre... such a pleasant diversion from the usual, cherie...
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
That's actually a lot harder to manage than one would think. (and there I go again...)
Response from Ariadne AWS (Reviewer)
You really are the syncopated offbeat of the Saxon Prince and the Wayward Foole. :)
What she wanted was truth, and truth could be imperfect. Sometimes, it had to be.Truer words... (perfectly phrased)And "Submission"? *snrt**reading on...
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Ah, yes. the importance of truth - and pregnant pauses.
Response from Ariadne AWS (Reviewer)
Silence is holy, not to say vestal...
Love this: “You might consider an early start.”Lordy, it's almost as though you know people who are capable of this level of banter. *reads on, enthralled*
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Almost as though.... I can so hear that line in my head.
Such delicious lines, so well-imagined a situation... *reads on eagerly (love the SS/SB interplay, btw, but you know that already...)
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Mmmm. I find their tension... tasty.
Outstanding - so many good lines I can't pick a favorite! And quite the bedtime story, cherie... so pleased I can finally read and enjoy this properly...
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
I am pleased as well. Nothing like time to read to indicate things are going well. :)
Response from Ariadne AWS (Reviewer)
Everything except my lace border, which I've abandoned to the gods of chaos, turning instead to the applied I-cord...
