Reviews for Just a Little Bit
I find myself wanting more, not because the story demands it but for my own selfish desires. Well done.
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Thank you! I am flattered that you want more. I had such a good time writing this, so it was hard to bring it to an end. I guess the rest is left for imagination. :)

God I love your story here, just enough like the crumbs for the mouse to keep me on edge, yet satusfying none the less
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Thank you! Like the mouse, we will all have to figure out where it comes out in the potentialities of the Potterverse. I figured the least I could do was give them some hope for a better future.

Nice twist, Melenka. So this is how it all connects. Intricate, indeed.

Thank you. I tried to find a way to tie it into DH while still allowing for the possibilities of a different future than JKR envisioned.

I am really enjoying this. It gets more and more complex. Lovely.

Alas, this is the end of the road. I purposely dovetailed it into DH (minus the flight of the many Harrys) but encourage folks to ignore the epilogue in favor of hope our traumatized couple will find a way to be together. :)

Now that was interesting...

Thank you! I'm glad you are enjoying it. I tend to have a complex view of the world and human relationships, which is obviously reflected in how I write. Thank you for reading.

Should I write slower to make it easier to understand? ;) You slay me! Thanks for the shiny stars.

We seem to be in for a far longer journey than I estimated in the last few chaps. Fabulous!
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Thank you! I hate to say this, but appearances can be deceptive. The last chapter is in queue. I am notorious for open endings. :)

Nice chapter, I think Hermione will deal with the ramifications of her choices well enough given time.

I have faith in her, too. I would imagine she will spend a lot of time crafting her answer to be totally honest and yet not say much. And I would bet he knows that.

So she is going back to Hogwarts, that will be interesting as it will be hard for these two to deny what has past between them. As for the tatoo, she has never had a hard time lying before why now?
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Actually, she decided that she won't be going back but instead will go off with Ron and Harry (as she did in DH). She says she needs to pack for school to throw Severus off. And, technically, that's what she's doing - it's just not where she plans to end up.The beauty of setting things in AU is that you can muck about with the characters a bit. Sirius noted twice that she isn't particularly good at lying. She's just confirming that observation.
Response from Isode (Reviewer)
Ah! I knew she had intended to go off with Harry and Ron at the beginning of the chapter, I had thought that Severus had convinced her to stay for her protection.

See she can lie!

Will anyone be able to tell that is a spell and not just a simple tattoo?
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Someone might, if they were versed in difficult, ancient and potentially dark spells. There are at least a few of those about. If she's lucky, she won't run into any of them.

I've reread the earlier chapters and I think I understand what happened. I can't put this story into any of the frameworks I'm used to (that's a complement , by the way). Not only do I not know what will happen next, I can't even come up with what seems to be a good guess. One question, how old is Hermione?
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
I hope the last chapter (now in queue) will complete the explanation, though I am known for leaving endings open to interpretation. I have never been good at 'happily ever after,' though I do believe in its real life equivalent - moments of joy. She's either 18 or on the cusp of it. I think more in terms of where she is in school, so I didn't consider her actual age. The Ministry (in this AU - not sure about canon) considers anyone still a student to be underage.

that is a powerful final sentence. I love it! and I feel like I finally understand the intended and actual effects of hermione's spell.

Thank you. I'm glad I finally made it clear! Spell crafting is such a convoluted art.

What a slut. (Just kidding...):-)Excellent chapter, as always. What a great twist the tattoo was - I totally did not see that one coming! I am so very fearful of what this could mean for the future. What if Voldemort sees it - if Severus recognised what she'd been attempting from the beginning then wouldn't Voldemort as well? ~shudders~ I think our girl needs some of that pancake make-up like the movie stars use. LOL...Here's a bit of weirdness - I had always had the image of a Celtic triskele in my mind everytime I pictured the spell. And I don't have any tattoos (yet) but I have always maintained that if I were ever to get one, it would be either a triskele or a trinity knot. Not on my ankle, though - I hear that really hurts!
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Hey, summer's almost over and this was her last chance. Tell me you wouldn't do the same.I thought the tattoo a nice touch. Poor Hermione, branded with her own cleverness. The what if will occur to them, too. I don't know that make-up would help if she got captured. I don't have any tattoos either (and won't) but I love the Celtic symbols.

As a die-hard SS/HG shipper, I cannot tell you how stunned I am to find myself sitting here with actual TEARS in my eyes because Sirius is gone. Lord, I can so clearly picture him standing there with his fingers on his lips before he Disapparated. Oh great... now the tears have left the eyes and I'm actually crying, damn you.I think I might be dense (actually, I'm quite certain I'm dense) but for some reason, this is the first time that the title of this story really sunk in. And now I cannot stop thinking of the myriad ways in which it applies. You are a master craftsman and once again, I find myself left in awe and admiration and jealousy for your immense talents. Incredible.
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
You flatter me. Keep it up. ;) But lose the jealousy, as you are quite the writer yourself. I'm glad my Sirius touched you. I'm rather fond of him, despite his obvious flaws. Didn't mean to make you cry, but I'm pleased the story moved you.

all this metaphysical stuff is fascinating, although I must confess I don't really understand some of it. how does hermione know that she'll never be able to repeat the first part of the spell?
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
It's more chaos theory than magic. The first part of the spell came together accidentally, and you can't recreate an accident. The intention to do so will nullify the result.
Response from mock_turtle (Reviewer)
but she was trying to create/cast the spell! so if she was trying, doesn't that count as "not accidental"? but thank you for the explanation of chaos theory.

GUH! I hope she's right pissed when she learns what they're up to. Typical men... they trust her enough to do all the hard work and research and development of the spell (or at least I'm assuming they trust her ability or they wouldn't be going through with it), but Heaven forbid they actually TELL her the truth of what they're planning or try to explain their reasons for changing it. I suppose Hermione is going to learn the valuable lesson of never underestimating the ability of a man to annoy a woman by acting in ways they think are noble.Okay, done ranting about hard-headed males now. Excellent chapter (really!!); I especially loved the fact that Snape has been feeding the mouse. Now tell me... is he doing that to care for the rodent or because he wants to watch the feline score?! I also really liked the way he kept surreptitiously watching and studying Hermione: very telling! And the next to last paragraph was just incredibly poignant and heartbreaking. ~melts~
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
IF he was feeding the mouse (and he would never admit it), it was because she cared for it. And yes, the men are being typically thick-headed. I am glad you enjoyed the chapter.

So now it is Sirius warring with himself against taking a chance to "move" on Hermione. What will Severus do if he finds them in the library. Will he be hurt that she is spending time with that other wizard in that place where he had made passionate love to the witch of his dreams only the night before?I'm lovin' it! Beth

I can't hang about writing a review, even though this story deserves hundres of stars... I gotta go open that damn window... it's impossible to get any coopeoration around here... they just want me to leave the computer so they can read, too.Whew! My God! It's hawt in here! Beth

Both wizards want her, and she wants.... both of them? What's a witch to do? I know what would do. I'd pick Severus, but I'm not Hermione, so I'm left wondering what the Muggle makeup and little mouse have done for our Miss Granger?Great writing, BTW.Beth

Thanks! Glad you like it. I think she has done most of it for herself, but a little help in preparation never hurts.

Amazing chapter. I love how both Severus and Sirius are different in their love making but are both truly awesome lovers any woman would be lucky to have.
