Reviews for Just a Little Bit
Interesting, I hope that if Sirius does do a bunk it works out better for him this time than the last time he was on the run.
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
He doesn't have much choice but to run. It will help that almost everyone believes him to be dead. There will be hell to pay if they figure out he's not - from Harry, if no one else.

Sirius got a whole chapter with Hermione and he tried so hard to woo her. Does this mean Severus will have his own chapter too. Brilliant chapter as always, Melenka. You are very gifted. Until next chapter.

Thank you! Balance in life is so rare. Severus has a maddening tendency to withdraw, making it difficult to hold onto him for an entire chapter. I rather suspect he will get his due, though perhaps not in the way he expects.

Well, she was warned not to speak. I hope she learned a lesson from it. Personally I think Severus was a bit mean to stop like that however I suspect there is a moral to it.

I see I wasn't clear, as others also assumed he had stopped without finishing. I have fixed that (I hope!).

Wow! I really want to know what happened in America!

A summer fling gone bad is the most Hermione will ever say about it. If, in fact, she ever says anything.

*whew* Bit warm in here this evening - think I'll go open my freezer and cool down a bit!Wow, thanks for a very satisfactory update. Whatever will they do next?
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Oh, I'm sure they'll think of something. Knowing those two, they'll argue. Glad that added a bit of warmth to your night. :)

Oh God! I hope it ended with a bloody good climax for both, but I have a feeling with the picture you are painting of Hermione she may have left him wanting. I am intrigued as to what happened over her summer. I get the impression she was "used and rewarded for services rendered"

And you would be spot on. Do you really think he would have stopped without finishing, so to speak? She'd already refused the escape clause, after all.

I believe she could take them both on at the same time. Yet another great chapter but I'm not surprised.
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
She's got a better chance of taking them both out than getting them naked in a room together. ;) Thank you for your kind words and encouragement.

Wow you have completely blown my my mind with this twisted convoluted intriguing and absolutely brilliant story. As sad as it is sometimes, it's also hopefully open ended. I am mad in love with this piece of work.

I admit I think I lost a few threads as I read through this, but I really like how you built the antagonism and dependence between them all. : ) Very dramatic. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I was having such a good time trying to dovetail magic and physics that I may have over-complicated things. :) I really appreciate you reading and leaving a review!

Your story has been a totally captivating journey. I loved the way you worked the title into the dialog, all the twists and turns, all the surprises. It fits perfectly into Deathly Hallows, and I enjoyed reading a different perspective on the way the last book could have been written. Well done. Now I am off to read "Death Shall Have No Dominion."Beth

Thank you! I am very, very happy that you liked the story. It was a great joy to write and knowing it provided entertainment to others was a lovely bonus. :)
It seems that all of them intended for things to turn out differently, and in their attempts to guide the outcome of the spell, they set unintended consequences in motion. There is only one chapter left, and I have absolutely no idea what direction it will take, but I must go find out before my nerves are completely frazzled.Beth
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
The interesting thing about subverting intent is that you never know exactly what will take its place. And they will all have to live with that. For as long as they live, anyway.
I didn't see this coming – the scar of her spell appearing where Sirius had "healed" her ankle. I wonder what will happen, if anyone else will notice it, even if they don't know what it means? Will Severus survive the final encounter with the Dark Lord to be able to "endure" her love. She loves him, and I know he loves her in return, but there are powerful forces heading toward a convergence, and I hope they both survive.Another wonderful chapter!Beth
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Sirius couldn't leave them entirely alone. It's not in his nature. And, with the afterward recently posted, I think you know the answer to your second concern. :)
Wow! This was a very powerfully written chapter. The magic they shared was enormous, and now Sirius has gone away and only Snape will be able to find him.Really wonderful chapter, my dear!Beth
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Thank you! The performance of the spell was probably the hardest thing to write in this whole story. I'm glad it worked for you - if not for Hermione.
Great Lord! I'm dying to know what is going to happen when Hermione casts the spell! She has bound Sirius and Severus to each other, and I wonder if this means that what happens to one will happened to both... Hummmm... I don't know if I will like what is coming, but I'm sticking around to find out! This is such an amazing story! Thank you for writing it.Beth
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Thank you for reading it! And yes, they are all bound now. Wait until you see how!
What an amazing chapter! I've just got to go to the next one... the suspense if killing me!Beth
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
I am so pleased you find the story compelling!
"When she heard the door close, she released the tension she had held since he’d taken her in the garden. The spell would work, but not as he thought. She only prayed he wouldn't notice until it was done."Hermione obviously knows something that Sirius doesn't, but does Severus know what she knows?Fabulous chapter!Beth
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Hermione has always been clever. Now, she is dangerous. Not letting them know is vital to her plans. Thank you for the lovely reivew.
“Now you are stronger than all of them,” he whispered, stroking her hair as she cried into his shoulder. Holy hell! What have Sirius and Hermione done? And then there is Severus who "found it hard to remember she was still a student. Not yours. He needed to stop thinking of her that way almost as much as he needed to convince himself she was not his. Not yet. He was reasonably sure she was proving it at that very moment. Jealousy flared and was tamped down by reason." Your story is incredibly intricate and blends science and magic into one seamless entity. Well written, Melenka, and a very compelling read.Beth
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Thank you! Severus has his reasons for allowing her freedom, for the nonce.
I can't believe it has been since last September since I've read the previous chapter! Real life has a way of getting in the way, and then I lose my way.... Anyway, I started over at the beginning so I wouldn't feel like I was missing anything when I got to this chapter.Sirius' growing inability to control his magic is a frightening thought. I know that Hermione finds both Severus and Sirius attractive, so I have to wonder if her kissing Sirius was only a way to help him diffuse his magic or if she was romantically involved in the kiss. The books Severus brought her appear to have given her the insight she was lacking to proceed with her modification of the spell, but what on earth will she accomplish if she sets the world on a trajectory toward destruction?Severus and Sirius were so calm and almost solicitous of each other during the meal? I guess they both realize that Hermione is skating on thin ice with the spell she is working on, so they chose not to upset her.I'm glad that Sirius showed her that the instructions about the spell were a warning. Maybe she will think twice before tempting the fates with her current project. And perhaps Severus is hoping reading about quantum theory and chaos theory will lead her to abandon her project all together. Ifs, ifs, and more ifs! I still adore this story, and now I'm off to the next chapter.Beth
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Severus and Sirius can play nice when it suits their purposes. Which, admittedly, is not often. I think they both realize that she is going where angels (and demons) fear to tread. I'm glad you picked the story back up and are enjoying it!
Such a spicy chapter! --mmmmm
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
I did enjoy writing this one. So... laden. I am glad you like it!
Had that; didn’t help. - Great line, that. This story is simply astonishingly good, 'Lenka, and so beautifully and perfectly crafted - breathtakingly clever from beginning to end, and anyone who "doesn't get it" simply doesn't know the value there can be in silence.Thank you, at long last, for the bedtime story!*waves*P.S. I've nominated this story for an OWL award for Best Drama. Just sayin'. 'Cause, y'know, sometimes a little Drama is just what the doctor ordered. :D
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
I am astounded. Thank you for the nomination, as well as for your lovely reviews. And a host of other things currently occupying an enormous closet - possibly the size of the bank we have with each other.
*laughs* I love the way they play each other in this chapter. So clever of you...
Response from Melenka (Author of Just a Little Bit)
Thank you. It seems to me they could keep each other entertained and enraged for a lifetime doing that.
