Wow. As always, you grab us fast and hard and don't let go. I love how you had Poppy so much on autopilot that she stripped them down in front of each other and they only were aware of each other through respect, no ogling one another (which is hard to imagine happening realistically, despite fangurl flutterings). Well done!

I needed it to be right from the start: respect. There had to be respect between them before anything else because when things get rocky later on, that is what will keep them together. Yeah, the sex is going to be hot and that's good- it's just that sex will not keep a marriage together through the rough times, but respect can.Thanks!Livvy

Livvy, this is the best writing you have ever done! Awesome job!I don't think I have ever been turned on by a historical lesson in the art of husbandry! OMG!!!And boy did he take Rosie's words to heart, fast! Hermione might not be able to look him in the eye without blushing after that morning of sex god rising. It will be fun reading how he goes about "tending" to his little nymph. I will never think of the word "tend" in the same context ever again. You managed to unleash the sexy Snape embodied with all the power, possession, passion, tenderness, control, commanding and patient nature, with just the right timing. I believe you have set a new standard for yourself.Sorry for the delay in reviewing I was so "stupefied" when I read this update I had to take a few days to calm down before I could think clearly enough to write. Now go write that next chapter, please.

Written and will be up as soon as I can! I am so glad you liked it. It was actually something that was taold to my husband and me by our minister who happens to be an old college friend. He and his wife were good friends of mine in coleege. He explained the role of the husband and the role of the wife and how the world has warped God's plan. The husband has much more responsibility to treat his wife with respect and honor, tending to all her needs and in responsive a wife will naturally want to submit and give herself to her husband because she knows he has her best interest at heart. I've been married seven years and I have been through many difficult thiings. My husband has nurtured and tended me over the years and I always brag about him to my firends about what a gem he is. He serves me and I serve him in return. Some women would think I am just another "submissive wife" but if that is true, my husband would be called "pussy-whipped" in return! Marriage is a beautiful relationship when the husband and wife's motives are pure. We'll see more of this in the future.Thanks!Livvy

No you are not submissive, your friends are dead on about the biblical nature of marriage. Often people quote the verse in Ephesians 5:22 about wives submitting to husbands, but, they never quote verse 21 or read further to verse 25-30. Whether biblical or in other works of liturature the best lovers are the ones who are patient, kind, and willing to sacrafice for the other. I have been married for twenty years to my college sweetheart who is a wonderful man. Hope you have as many and more happy years as we have. And I did mean what I said about your writing this is the best yet!

I'm very curious to find out just how Severus and Hermione did survive.

All the fighting had shifted there by then and Bellatrix fell on Hermione, blocking her from the path. "We will push these bastards upright and force them to tow the line like bookends."Very nicely put.I was surprised at the condition of Grimmauld Place, but it sounds like the kind of thing Bellatrix would do.Severus' discussion with Rosie was a bit of inspired writing! It gave him a new focus, that of being a nurturer as well as a protector. And Hermione took to heart Emilie's advice about telling Severus of her fantasies. Their heeding those two bits of advice paid off in spades for both Severus and Hermione. Good job!I know it had to mean the world to Hermione that Severus was more than willing to talk with his wife about all the grief she felt at the loss of so many of her friends. That's a powerful thing -- not everyone is comfortable sharing someone else's grief -- and it had to bring their level of trust to a higher plateau. Also, his advice to her not to lose herself in her grief was good advice. I've seen it happen to some of my family members, and no good can come of it.I can't wait to see what the Charms Mistress has in store for Little Miss Astoria Greengrass. That's going to be priceless!!!And now it is time for FANTASIES and LEMONS!!! Next chapter, I believe?

Thank you! That was what I learned when I married my husband. A good friend of mine that I went to college with, he and his wife, sat us down before he married us and explained the institution of marriage. He explained what the role of a husband was and the what the role of a wife was and used the Biblical model to do it. I must say, the husband has a lot more responsibility than the wife! As much as men have tried to warp God's word, it is very clear that men will have to answer to God about how they treated thier wives and not the other way around because it is true that it is in the nature of a woman to love easily. If men only got that! My husband knows that by just taking 30 min. out of his weekend to clean my kitchen floor, the rewards will be in abundance! :)The next chapter will illustrate that fact between Severus and Hermione. ;)Thanks,Livvy

Finally they are starting to connect. I loved Rosie's definition of husbandman. I think it was quite helpful to Severus and to the reader.

There was so much I enjoyed about this chapter (not the least of which were the lemons, hee-hee!): I liked Snape's summation of Moody's mindset, and Hermione's grief for Harry and Ron, and Rosie's explanation of husbanding to Snape. Nice update!

FINALLY!!!!! It took Hermione and Severus to get things right, and now he's finally pleased her. I think his talk with Rosie, and Hermione's fantasy confession was just the thing that was needed. I can't wait to read more!
