Yeay! Success!I was given goosebumps by the end of this chapter. The image of them being all together in celebration echoed so perfectly with the first few chapters bringing them together in despair.

Kingsley did a masterful job of stating the case for retaining the Snapes as Headmaster and Deputy Heasmistress. The way Severus and Hermione handled themselves before the Board spoke well of their having taken responsibility for their short comings and having learned from their experiences. They had already made the necessary changes and had hired Hogwarts graduates to fill some of the still unfilled professorships.Hermione would be able to complete her apprinticeship under the apt tutelage of Madam Marchbanks, and THE Gewnog Jones of the Holyhead Harpies will be the new Quidditch Coach/Flying Instructor. Great strides have been made and Hogwarts is on the road to reclaiming its position as the Crown Jewel of Europe’s Wizarding Schools.Everything is coming up roses, and now Severus will take Hermione on his desk in the Headmaster's Office. I wonder if he will send the former Headmasters and Headmistresses in the portraits to visit their other frames. I look forward to the lovely lemons to come in the next chapter!This has been such a wonderful story, and I have enjoyed every syllable of it. WELL DONE!!!Beth

This sounds like an end. It could be a perfect one but I hope it's not. I would like to know more about them. Maybe just an epilogue if you're willing.

Very interesting...how old is Madam Marchbanks? My word! Also, I wondered if you had anyone specific in mind for the board of governors? Or anyone that we'd recognize?

I don't think so. In canon, the only member of the Board of Governors that is mentioned by name was Lucius Malfoy during Harry's 2nd year. So I no one really to go on. Madam Marchbanks is old, but still spry enough to sit for O.W.L examinations, like she did in Harry's fifth year. She also stepped down from the Wizengamot in protest when Dumbledore was stripped of his position as Cheif Warlock and Head Mugwump. She is still very outspoken, so I gather she's really old, but very active.

Yeah you updated.... what a great chap... I loved how they stood together and did not shy away from their own faults but stated that they had learned from them and that they were not perfect... that was great i am totally looking forward to severus' reward esp. on his desk how hot is that those are always my favorite scenes the ones where they are on the desk or in the lab etc for some reason those are really steamy to me... great job as always

A brilliant chapter, I just love how you have made Severus and Hermione grow as a couple during this story. They had such odds against them: The grief from all those lost, her being so young and inexperienced, him living such a solitude and dangerous life for so many years. We all know that they were made for eachother, but I still like to compliment you for your way of letting them know that too:-))I also loved that you found such a great teacher for Hermione. For a scholar girl like her, the knowlegde of having, for her, a thorough education, will boast her selfesteem brilliantly. Yup, really liked this chapter, they handled the questions from the board so well and most importantly, they supported eachother!

Thank Merlin! In Germany, we always say, "at sea and in court, your destiny is in the hands of god". I really despise those nosy people who stand aside when the going gets tough, but judge those who have been in it afterwards.

That is a good saying. And it's true that people like to judge those who do the work. They don't realize the strain and pressure involved, but they can find all the faults and then judge their work. Hermione and Severus taking the heat together and standing on the work they have done was pivitol to their being equals in each other's eyes and in the eyes of those around them.Thanks!

THIS IS MY FAVORITE CHAP!!!! I was a little worried for their relationship in the beginning i mean hermione has had a lot of crap fall on her shoulders and she has been trying so hard to fight this all alone... I am so glad that you wrote severus vulnerable in this chap it was perfect and you wrote him so well.... He really laid it all out on the line for her and that he would leave the wizarding world for her says so much.... I am sooo happy that the fierce hermione is back she needs to take control and i am so
happy that she is finally there and i can not wait to read about the staff meeting...

Loved it as usual!The canaries vs Severuss had me in fits I must say but I do so love her bullying him with sex. Such a strong and powerful man, is still just a man after all! Can't wait for more!
