I love the connection you made between the Troll incident first year and now. Until threatened by the Troll, Hermione wasn't friends with Harry and Ron. Until threatened in this battle, Hermione wasn't friends with Severus.

I hope Hermione doesn't slip into pretending that the boys are just around the corner, or that all she has to do is finish this class and then it will be back to normal. That sort of grieving process is never successful.

Oh, yes, so very sad. I got my inspiration from that scene in Gone with the Wind where people were waiting for the news of the killed and wounded at the Battle of Gettysberg. I wanted to capture that type of fear and confusion. Thank goodness Kingsley can keep a cool head!Thanks,Livvy

Emile Beauharnis was given ten years in Azkaban, Domask was given the Dementor’s Kiss, and Rita Skeeter was given five years in Azkaban and she was definitely finished!!! Good show!I'm happy that Daphne Greengrass will be given a teaching position at Hogwarts. She will be good for the school because she doesn't share her sister's ideas about Muggleborn witches and wizards.LEMONS galore!!! I had to laugh at the sexual antics of our love birds. Severus taking Hermione on his desk right there in front of all the past Headmaster's portraits. Can portraits fan themselves?And then Hermione casting an Engorgement Hex to Snape’s penis ad then promising to kiss it and make it better... after he agreed to her choice for the Potions position. Totally delicious and totally funny!Wonderful Chapter!Beth

No, she knows Daphne and she's very set on making a new start for herself. Besides, Hermione has grown past the insecurity that came with the jealousy. She and Severus are different people now after the whole Death Eater debacle.Thanks!

I completely understand about the hurricane season slowing up the queue. It makes me thanks God everyday that I no longer live in a coastal state. I lived through Alicia in 1983-Galeveston, TX and Hugo in 1989-Charleston, SC. They were both the worst storms of their time and location. I'm greatful to be further inland, although, hurricanes still affect my area-Gustav dumped 10 inches of rain before it was all over. My prayers are with those currently in turmoil over Gustauv, and soon to be Ike. Now on to the chapter - the Dementor's Kiss is too good for someone like Domask. Evil SOB, trying to break up the harmonious life our favorite couple has created. I can only imagine what Severus would have done to Domask had he gotten the evil twit alone long enough to do something.
Emilie more than deserved the punishment she got. She was a fool for going along with her 'boyfriend' and his idiotic plan. Well, from what I gather, Beuxbatons aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer anyways.
It was great to see Rita get hers. She is not worthy to hold the title of 'Journalist'. What she does is not journalism, it's slander and lies of the worst kind. Here's hoping that Azkaban is extremely hard on her!
Ah! Young love! What I mean is that their love for each other is so new and exciting. It was good to see Hermione have Severus 'by the short hairs' (HA! HA!) in regards to filling of the vacant posts. I expect that he'll take it out on her in spades later on.
