You did an excelent job with this chapter. It gave us all the things we needed and more to move on with story. How sad for all the familys. Kingsley,s thoughts where heartbreaking. Looking forward to your next chapter

I may have misread, but if the kids are all dead there is no need for all 7 classes is there? since only new firsties would come to Hogwarts the next year.

No, there were Slytherins who refused to fight and left the castle, they will be back and cause trouble. Also, only the sixth and seventh years fought and not all of the sixth years.Thanks for reviewing,Livvy

How sad! I think you've done a good job in imagining what Kingsley must be thinking and doing, and in describing a tragedy, the scale of which most of us have never been exposed to. Excellwent chapter.

A really inventive premise so it will be very a very different 'world' and story to others that have gone before it - especially canon. I can hardly! wait :-) Just interested - Why didn't Kingsley fight?Great to hear that it is finished overall and the next chapter is in the queue. Thanks muchly.

I mentioned the reason in the chapter, but maybe I didn't make it clear enough. He was ordered by the Order to stand down since they wanted him to be the next Minister of Magic. They didn't want to risk him getting killed.I hope you like the way the story unfolds!Thanks for reviewing,Livvy

What a powerful start to a what seems to be another great story by you. I could feel the emotions of Severus, Hermione, Poppy and Kingsley, The aftermat will be so hard for all of them to deal with. i look forward to the next chapter with great antisapation

Thank you! The next chapter will not have a lot of dialogue since there is so much to "set up" with the plot, but after that chapter, things get rolling right along. I also worked very hard on a chapter with a scene with Snape and Hermione alone and they are hit suddenly with the magnitude of the loss. They have a very tender moment and it took ages for me to get it right!:)Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
