Hello all, I am a 53 year old from NZ. Although SSHG is how I started and still my main pairing, I'll give pretty much any pairing a try, whether it be reading or writing. Sev and Herms need a bit of variety at times. ;)

Oh yes! I love it. Even if it doesn't work, it is a brilliant idea.

“Do not tell me any more. I do not need to know what other secrets of mine are available to be Googled!”LOL! I can hear a rich voice dripping with horror at the thought! I love the way you're showing his responses to her.

Somewhere in the shuffle, I didn't read this story before, and I don't think I'm getting any sleep tonight until I've read it all. I'm intrigued.

“I just got a compliment from Severus Snape,” Ron said to no-one in particular. “He’s not such a bad git after all!”Let's hope Ron still thinks so when he realises why Hermione gets 'all sparkly' when 'Uncle Sev' is around.I just love this story.

You will see. It's not all bad! :)

Ron accepted that information from his son in an emotionless and analytical manner IMHO. What happened to jealous!Ron? Has his personality changed that much over the years? Has he really matured to such an extent? Or have they grown apart and he is interested in someone else? Twenty years is a long time to spend with the wrong spouse, although I know of many who stayed together for the "sake of the children."

They have only been married 10 years in this, they married 3 years after the final battle. Hugo is three here, and about nine in the epilogue which is set 19 years after the FB, so they are about 13 years post FB. The next chapter will explain better why Ron reacted as he did. Don't forget he is not a hotheaded teenager now. Thanks for your review! :)

Hmmm... Well, I still don't like that she's turned her back on her family, and I really dislike that she's "wasted" all these years with Ron. I am glad that it seems she'll be back with Severus soon. For this chapter, it seemed like the story changed. What I mean by that was that it was strictly AU (Snape alive, what happened to Hermione, etc.) and then suddenly it's giving her back her canon life. Good writing though. Keep it up.

I appreciate your thoughtful comments. In this story I have considered Hermione and Severus to be unmatched in maturity initially, and as she matures, things change. I wanted to throw Ron in there a a suitable match for her initially, and I don't think she has wasted her years with Ron. They have been happy, but now they are somewhat older... The next chapter will hopefully explain that better. Thanks for reviewing. :)

I think three's the charm -The moist eyes at 'giving her away'The Griffin patronusand 'sparkly Hermione' - "Out of the mouths of babes..."I like your characterisations especially grown-up Ron and a more mature Severus (esecially with Rose). While it is always great to have Ron being the comedic foil/buffon/ romantic rival I heartily agree that he has the potential to mature into an acceptable(?) partner for Hermione and you write that so well. Lest I sound like a HG/RW shipper let me clarify this - wondeful potential but when comparing personalities and likes we know that the inevitable will happen - Hermione and Severus are more suited. Bring on the next chapter, but be gentle please.Cheers.

Ummmm, there's one way to keep this one big happy family. I just wonder how open wizarding society is?

“Daddy, why does Mummy always look sparkly when Uncle Sev comes round?” That just about says it all, doesn't it? In Chapter Thirteen, when Severus said, "You know, I love you too, Hermione. You have become very special to me, but a part of me still sees you as the schoolgirl you once were. Maybe, if we were both ten or twenty years older, it would be different...." I wondered then if it WAS different for him. Apparently it was!Now that Hugo has asked a question about "the elephant in the room," what will Ron do? It doesn't seem as though he felt any panic at it? Not like I would have thought a man who was dearly in love with his wife would have felt.Maybe there is hope for everyone to "love the one they want instead of the one they're with."Great chapter, and I can't wait to see where you take us in the next one.Beth

Excellent chapter. You had me a little worried that you would end the tale here with a Ron/Hermione happy ending. I am not sure I believe that Ron would just walk away from Hermione so she can be happy with Snape. It will be interesting to see what the emotions look like for the next chapter.

silver griffin, eh? sparkley, eh?
Oh, dear! I don't want to see the happy home torn apart, athough that may place me in the minority of your readers!
Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)
LOL, you noticed the griffin. I thought it would be a good patronus for Sev after he had moved on from Lily. A symbol of courage and protection. The fact that it fits Gryffindor House, rather than Slytherin is a nod to Dumbledore's "Sometimes I think they sort too soon," comment. Thanks for reviewing :)

Wonderful writing. I appreciate the patience and judgment that Ron is showing. It seems that Hermione is not quite clued into her feelings, and I suspect she will deny them not just to Ron, but to herself. Hum. I hope that Ron doesn't go off the deep end, and that the three can resolve this as amicably as possible. You've set this story up really well.

I really like the way you have developed this story. The characters are shown as close to real. Times change and people grow up. I like how you have given Ron especially a chance to mature and even rise in the ranks at work. Too often some characters are left as they were on the last pages of the book with no growth. I look forward to more revelations to come -- as they say 'out of the mouths of babes'. Thanks for posting, JoAnne

I think that in the book, Bill and Charlie are shown to be mature adults with good heads on their shoulders. George is heading that way, despite the joking around. There is no reason that Ron would stay a hormonally charged idiot for the rest of his life! Thanks for reviewing. :)

I can't believe she let Severus in the room when she had those kids! The only one allowed in for me was my husband! I loved the infinity snake necklace Severus gave her and his constant friendship throughout these years. Thanks for making Ron likeable. I still don't think they're really good together, but, stranger things have happened. Now hurry and let us know what Ron is up to. I get the feeling I may like his decision.
