At least Hermione's kept her mouth shut.  I hate it when she goes all hysterical.  Can we just punt Ron out the window?

You know, I'm a Muggle, but I can't imagine having one's magic stripped and then left out in the cold.  *shudder*

Wow - I really like how this story is progressing.  I know that your choice for Hermione to not tell Harry and Ron is most likely for the plot to move along but I do think that they should know about her being alive.  I kind of feel badly for them - thinking their friend is dead but isn't really.  That said, I still am really enjoying this story and look forward to an update!

Severus can be such a caring man, all he needed was the opportunity and the freedom from Voldemort.  Why, I believe he is falling in love.....  Rousing himself some time later, Snape carefully lifted his now sleeping charge and carried her up the stairs to her room. Removing her shoes, he tucked her into bed and brushed her forehead with his lips. “Sleep peacefully, Hermione,” he whispered...And of course, Hermione is drawn to Severus.  She has spent so long looking forward to the charmed Galleon warming in her pocket twice daily, and each time she thought of him.  I loved his reaction when she walked in on him standing in his room clad only in a towel.  Then her thoughts really did center on him!  Who knew the dour Potions master had a body like that? Just as well he is twenty years older than me, or Ron might have competition. She has so much to ponder, and I understand completely her decision not to reveal herself to Harry of Ron until she knows whether or not Severus can recover her magic for her.  I would have come to the same conclusion.Somehow I don't think it will bother her for too long if Ron has found someone else.  I think she and Severus have much more in common, have more of a foundation on which to build a life long relationship.  After all, There seemed to be a bond of grief and succour they had formed the previous night, which was never to be sundered.I love this story!!!Beth

oh very lovely chapter I like the idea that Hermione isn't perfect in everything!and the reaction to halfnaked Snape... (I would have jumpt him but...)Up date fast please  I cant wait to read the next part

that is the difference in Hermione and me where she blushes, I would have jumped him  Oh well she is young after allhow they behave towards each other is really sweet with him allowing her to hug him and just the closeness of it all is wonderful to readI really look forward to more of this amazing story  you have my vote

So sweet. I love how he comforts her. :-) Finally hope! A ray of sunshine amidst the darkness of angst!I think her wish not to tell Harry & co about her survival just yet makes a LOT of sense. However, the way she arrives at that conclusion is a bit sudden. I would have liked to see some more of her thoughts ...

That was nice interaction between Severus and Hermione.  It seems the war has softened Severus and he can be a nicer person, even funny.  I liked the wand flourish.  I can understand Hermione's not wanting to tell Harry and Ron.  I think it would be harder on all of them if Severus couldn't find a way to restore her magic.  I hope he can.
