Hello all, I am a 53 year old from NZ. Although SSHG is how I started and still my main pairing, I'll give pretty much any pairing a try, whether it be reading or writing. Sev and Herms need a bit of variety at times. ;)

Poor Hermione. Maybe now she'll get out and fend for herself. This still look grave for her though. I'm glad Sev woke up. The first word he spoke was Granger? Interesting. Maybe he'll get better and go find her and help her... I hope.

How awful and disturbing to have everything you know and love stripped from you in an instant. That is indeed a fate worse than death.How will she survive without her magic, not knowing where she is or not having any money. And where are the boys??

By my reckoning, they are in Hogwarts by now finding those last Horcruxes, by themselves as I have nabbed Hermione! I am trying to make this DH compliant, except for the absence of Hermione at the Final Battle. Thank you for your review :)

I'm so worried for Hermione, but I'm glad that Snape gave her something from the wizarding world. I wonder how she'll get it back. Hm.... Good job!

Very nice start! I'm quite looking forward to the next chapter. Just a a little suggestion: a few bits felt a bit repetitive, those where Hermione didn't know what was happening (words like undefiniable and unrecognisable are used a lot) maybe show us more of how Hermione is feeling instead (say she's disorientated, time had passed, she knew that much, but how long was any one's guess). All in all a great read though :D Thank you for sharing this.

Interesting beginning. Can Hermione survive without her magic? Interesting that you set it up so that those in the cave will recognize her, but if I understand it correctly no one else of her acquaintance will know her any longer. Where does that leave her? She has no muggle history, no school or work record what will happen to her? And what was the galleon for? I look forward to finding out the answers to these and I am sure other questions next time. Thanks for posting, JoAnne
