Hermione, Severus, and Draco's lives become intertwined in ways none of them could have predicted or imagined. This is a story that weaves three perspectives together: Hermione's, Snape's, and Draco's. Please note that this story will end up being MA and contain slash.
After Dumbledore is killed by Snape, Voldemort goes on to take over the Ministry of Magic and installs Snape as Headmaster at Hogwarts. Believing the remaining horcruxes to be hidden at Hogwarts, Harry, Hermione, and Ron return to Hogwarts. Needing a way to spy on Snape, Hermione comes up with an idea that has unintended consequences.
Draco believed that he and Severus had something special. But before returning to Hogwarts, Severus mysteriously ends their relationship. Dejected, Draco returns to Hogwarts determined to win Severus back.
Severus Snape is working on a secret project, one that will give him a power no other human has ever had before. But the project has withered to a standstill as he is overwhelmed with his new duties as Headmaster and Voldemort's favorite Death Eater.

I'm a married bisexual disabled person who loves Harry Potter fanfiction. My favorite pairing is probably Hermione/Severus, though I also enjoy Harry/Severus and Harry/Draco. On rare occasions, I even enjoy Hermione/Draco.
I normally try to write one chapter a week for active fanfictions, and one or two chapters a month for original stories.

Poor man. He is trying to do the best by everyone, but he just can't win!
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Well, maybe eventually he'll win... but for now, he's having a tough time. Thanks for the review!

I so love to leave a round-number review! :) Interesting story!

*shakes head with a rueful smile*This is a definitely a "poor Severus" moment. Caught in the act of doing something right, getting roped into yet another responsibility (as if he doesn't have more than enough on his plate), and now he's going to get snapped at by his little Hermione, before he can get a word in edgewise. *Big Sigh*
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Things just haven't been working out well for him at all recently. Poor guy. And he's trying so hard, too. Thanks for the review!

This particular Severus doesn't really know what he wants, now, does he? And a man pretending to be good doesn't go ward a Muggle house. He needs to believe in himself.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
He's been thrown for a loop recently, yeah. He thought he had it all planned out... ;)As for whether he's a good man or not, he did just cast Crucio on Lucius, which a stereotypical good man wouldn't do. But yes, I happen to think that, ultimately, he's a good man, or he wouldn't have fallen for Hermione.

Sounds like Severus feels more for Draco than he does for Hermione.Curious as to just how she accosted him.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
He's got more history with Draco, that's for sure. As for how she accosted him, that's the next chapter. ;)Thanks for the review!

I hope Hermione lets Severus have it with both barrels. He has been an absolute arse with her. She should not allow such abuse to continue.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
I'm sure she's going to give him a piece of her mind. :)Thanks for the review!

I was wondering just WHAT Draco had shared his bed with! LOL

I've been reading so many nice, noble, intelligent, helpful, heroic Dracos lately it's almost a relief to have the original back for a while. T'will be amusing to watch him learn the difference between having knowledge and being intelligent. LUVIT LUVIT LUVIT

I wanted to be sure that Draco was Draco in this story and not just a blonde Harry. I'm glad you're appreciating it.Thanks for the review!

Hermione is being stupid and way too trusting. Sigh.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Well... she's kind of been thrown for a loop here, with Severus treating her poorly and keeping Draco prisoner. But yes, it's in her nature to be trusting. Thanks for the review!

Poor Draco, I suspect Severus is like three steps ahead of him and he doesn't know it yet.Nice chapter.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Thank you!

Would she be willing to work with him and betray Severus? I am thinking NOT...but lets see where you take this
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
I expect Hermione to be conflicted for a while, between being loyal to Severus and fighting for the "underdog".

Well, Draco gave it his best. Hopefully he bought enough time for Severus. Great chapter, Lucius just dripped malice.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Thank you! I enjoyed writing Lucius... I love writing cruel dialogue like that. :)

Alomst feel sorry for Draco... Wait! I said ALMOST!
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Aww. I feel sorry for Draco. Lucius is an asshole.
"Experience keeps a hard school, but a fool will learn in no other."What has Draco learned? Is he still a fool?
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
I've never really thought of Draco as a fool, just very impulsive when his feelings overwhelm him. Expect to see Draco go through some changes during the rest of the fanfic... :)Thanks for the review!
I still say Draco is an idiot, and a child. Sometimes hearts get broken. You do not have to betray that person.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Yeah, he kind of reacted without thinking.... I'm pretty sure he's regretting it now, though. Thanks for the review!
Good portrayal of Draco's thinking here

Nice description of travelling through stone. Sounds like the oncoming fight may be tricky.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Thanks. :)
So, flying Hogwarts wasn't enough, but they're on Severus's ground now.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Yup! Thanks for the review. :)
Tense, some questions answered but too short. I was really into the chapter and it ended abruptly. All well, hope you don't keep us in suspense for too long.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Sorry about that. I try to keep each chapter around 700-800 words (partially because I have hand issues and this is the only way I can do a chapter a week). I'll try to get the next chapter written on Tuesday. :)Thanks for the review! Glad you're enjoying my story.
Response from sinbad (Reviewer)
I'm so sorry you have hand issues, my mother and I have carpel tunnel (spelling?) I only have a mild case but I can certainly emphathise with you. Take care of your hands because the surgery is an iffy propersition.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Actually, I'm getting surgery done at the end of this month: wrist replacement. It should make typing less painful.
Response from sinbad (Reviewer)
Good luck, I hope it works out for you!
Whooosh! That was fast but I guess that is what battle is all about. How did you decide what it felt like to navigate inside a stone wall? Your dreams/nightmares must be interesting indeed.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Hah, actually, I regularly travel through walls in my dreams. So it was very easy for me to describe it, because I feel like I've done it. (I dream lucidly, so sometimes they can be really fun. :D)Thanks for the review! :)
Snape is playing with fire. But it certainly is interesting.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Thank you. :)
Oh, my. Sev is quite a randy bugger, isn't he? As this plot continues to thicken, I'm very intrigued!
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Yes, he is! I'm glad you're enjoying it!
why doesn't he just go for the threesome and be done with it! ;)
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Well, that wouldn't be much of a plot then, would it! ;)
It's nice to see a plotting Severus, forhis own interest only.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Thank you!
Considering what our elders all tell us about the "best laid plans of mice and men" often going astray, Master Snape is coming off just a "leetle bit" too sure of himself.
I can't wait! :P
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Yes... he and Draco both have their plans that they are both so sure of... I wonder what will happen to those carefully-thought out plans? ;)
