Hermione, Severus, and Draco's lives become intertwined in ways none of them could have predicted or imagined. This is a story that weaves three perspectives together: Hermione's, Snape's, and Draco's. Please note that this story will end up being MA and contain slash.
After Dumbledore is killed by Snape, Voldemort goes on to take over the Ministry of Magic and installs Snape as Headmaster at Hogwarts. Believing the remaining horcruxes to be hidden at Hogwarts, Harry, Hermione, and Ron return to Hogwarts. Needing a way to spy on Snape, Hermione comes up with an idea that has unintended consequences.
Draco believed that he and Severus had something special. But before returning to Hogwarts, Severus mysteriously ends their relationship. Dejected, Draco returns to Hogwarts determined to win Severus back.
Severus Snape is working on a secret project, one that will give him a power no other human has ever had before. But the project has withered to a standstill as he is overwhelmed with his new duties as Headmaster and Voldemort's favorite Death Eater.

I'm a married bisexual disabled person who loves Harry Potter fanfiction. My favorite pairing is probably Hermione/Severus, though I also enjoy Harry/Severus and Harry/Draco. On rare occasions, I even enjoy Hermione/Draco.
I normally try to write one chapter a week for active fanfictions, and one or two chapters a month for original stories.

So which, if any, liaison is for real or do all three have an agenda? Draco wants to be closer to the man with the most power, with the exception of the Dark Lord. Severus needs to get closer to Hermione because of the Dark Lord's orders. Hermione needs to get closer to Severus to spy on him.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
I don't think I can answer your question without spoiling the story. :P
This is my secondary trois grouping, and, I have to say, there's not a lot of Draco/Hermione/Severus out there. It is kind of controversial, of course, but then again, threesomes and Malfoys tend to invite controversy as a matter of routine. In any case, this is a very interesting scenario. All players are both well intentioned (or at least not motivated by malice) and completely bollocksing up everything. So I'm watching with interest.

Thank you! I hope you'll be pleasantly surprised to see where this goes in the next few chapters. :)

Ooh, interesting D/Hr competition!
Author's Response: Thanks!
Now how does he get away with that, given that Voldie is in charge?
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
You'll find that out in the next chapter, but rest assured: he's definitely not doing this behind Voldie's back.
A talking choc frog card, just like a protrait, now that's handy!
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
I figured they behaved just like mini-portraits in HP: SS with Dumbledore disappearing and such, so why not?
What, is he trying to get a link into the power of the castle itself??
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Not exactly, no. You'll just have to wait to find out (this is not going to be revealed for a while yet).
Ouch, you did a great job showing jealousy in this chapter, now how will it be dealt with? Troubled waters ahead perhaps?
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Perhaps. :PThanks!
Ahahah, private lessons? Keep your enemy close indeed!
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Of course!
This is a good story,i've ben waiting for this chapter.Hopefully the next chapter will have more Severus and Draco in it.Can't wait for more!
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Thanks! It may be a few days (or a week even) before I get to the next chapter, as I think I need to reread HBP before I get too much further along...
*raises eyebrow* And how does Hermione think she can do this? BTW I also wonder at the trio being at Hogwarts while the school is run by Death Eaters. How are you going to pull that off?
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Well, I don't want to give away too much... You'll find out how Hermione plans on spying/gathering information on Snape in the next chapter.
As to how the trio can be at Hogwarts while Snape's in charge, his loyalty is still somewhat unknown. Also, there are other teachers who stuck around (Minerva, for example) who would prevent things from getting too out of hand.
As much power as Voldemort now has, he's not yet in a situation where he himself can directly control everything. He has overestimated the effect Dumbledore's death would have on the OotP, but is concerned that moving more openly would cause more people to flock to their cause.
Response from septentrion (Reviewer)
I see what you mean. It's just my opinion, but it's so different from canon (and I'm not complaining about that) that a bit of explanations along the way might help. Also, at the end of HBP, Snape was making the headline in the Prophet and was wanted for Dumbledore's murder. How does that get along with the fact that he's in the school, as headmaster I suppose.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
The challenge is that most of this is actually background to my main story... I want it to be about Hermione, Snape, and Draco, and less about Harry's Battle for Good. But I will keep your suggestion in mind as I brainstorm for the next chapter and figure out how much to reveal...
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
About how Snape could be Headmaster while he was wanted for Dumbledore's murder, since Voldemort has effectively taken over the Ministry, I'm sure one of the first things he would have seen done was those charges dropped. I've been toying with the idea of Azkaban being used for people in the Order, actually: but that isn't central to the story, so I don't think I'm going to mention it.
Hmmm talking cards, interesting idea.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Thank you!
Bigmouth! someone slap him!
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
*wields Author's Mallet and whacks Draco*That help? :)

Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
You'll find out in the next chapter. :)
for that ending I'd walk througha wall too
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)

**eyes blinking in disbelief**What just happened? Draco just killed his father with an unforgivable curse!(Definitely time to go back and read author's notes. I'm missing something here.)
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
Well... go back and read what happened before the first battle, when Draco was being Crucio'ed by Lucius. It wasn't the first time he'd been Crucio'ed and certainly wasn't going to be the last. Lucius mocked Draco's feelings for Severus, used the same binding spell to trap Draco in his bedroom as punishment, and wouldn't hesitate using Crucio on him whenever he misbehaved or refused to do something. They didn't exactly have a happy relationship. (Plus, a few people were disappointed after the last battle that Severus didn't kill Lucius... but I felt it needed to be Draco to do it, to stand up for himself once and for all and say THIS IS NOT OKAY YOU WILL NOT DO THIS TO ME AGAIN.)Thanks for the review!

I think I can see where you are headed with this story and I am not sure I can handle Severus having deeper feelings for Draco and more shallow feelings for Hermione IMHO. I think you are doing a good job advancing the story; it is just my own preference getting in the way here. Please do not take offense if I no longer follow the story.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
I'm not sure you're seeing where I'm heading, because that's not my intent. Severus's feelings for Draco were a source of conflict here: he was so intent on protecting Draco that he was willing to keep him prisoner. That doesn't mean he doesn't still feel strongly about Hermione. So... maybe try to read the next chapter when it's up? It'll be from Hermione's point of view. Thanks for the review!

Wow, Draco was able to throw off a crucio and Avada Lucius. Now Hermione has two strong wizards to decided between. It looks like Severus and Draco will have alot of work to do on their magical charm.Won't Narcissa need to be guarded/watched, as Volde might wonder where Lucius has gone and start questioning her. Great update can't wait for more.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
I think Narcissa can disappear on her own... I don't think I can have her hide with the new Trio!And... who says Hermione has to decide? ;)Thanks for the review!

Poor Severus, I don't think he counted on having to go to Drs. Granger home daily. Too funny.
Response from Cosette (Author of Culmination)
No, I definitely don't think he did. ;) Thanks for the review!
