Hermione did a good job calmly explaining her circumstances, not that it went over well. However, she can take heart that it appears Severus can communicate with her, even if only once to tell her his immediate circumstances.

I really do like this story. I feel bad for Hermione... although I think it rather makes sense that others can't really comprehend her feelings at this point, especially after Dumbledore's death.
Oh... there's one thing I've wondered about for the last few chapters - the timing of the pregnancy, i.e. shouldn't she be further along than 3.5 months now and thus quite obviously showing? If I recall correctly, Dumbledore's death occurred just before the end of the schoolyear, i.e. something like six months after Christmas? (Which is when Hermione got pregnant, yes?) Or am I just totally confused here?

I understand your concern about the pregnancy date, do you remember that when she was breaking it to Snape she said "It would merely delay--" and he cut her off? When the potion was used incorrectly it somehow delayed the true start of the pregnancy.We've got an observant one on our hands! You're the first to have caught that... :)

Yes, it is and the sad part is the last statisical check (that I'm aware of) the average American looses their virginity at age 11. EEEWWWW

The next chapter was one of my favorites to write, I think you will enjoy it because it is so different from everything else we have encountered.
Well, not exactly a peaceful day, but I guess she's trying to keep an optimisitic perspective. I'm glad she told the boys; I always think that authors stretch it a little too thin when they expect the reader to believe that they wouldn't notice such a huge change in Hermione's physical experience. Yea, they're only boys, but they are also men.... Thanks for the update!

I agree, they aren't entirely stupid-- not even Ron. I hate how authors make characters into completely different people for their stories... so I've got another chaptered hermione/snape on the way in which all the characters are realistic..... whatever shall happen? I hope I can get that one up here soon, I think all the DML people would appreciate it.
