I enjoy writing simple poetry about love, life, and betrayal; either about myself or those closest to me.

This site is amazing. The numerous reviews and reads I have received here has been beyond humbling. However as I have gotten older, RL has taken main priority to reading and writing fanfic. Any tiny fraction of personal time I am able to indulge myself has been spent in the fandom, but I must admit it had been dwindling more and more. I will NEVER abandon anything I have begun, and attempt to finish my WIPs every day. However, like many authors, I have made the mistake of submitting my work to more archives than I am capable of maintaining with the care that is due them. If I am able and time willing, I might continue to update my fics here, but my main priority lies elsewhere. MODERATED ARCHIVES ARE A BLESSING AND NECESSARY FOR QUALITY FIC. I stand by that. Unfortunately submitting my fics to various moderated archives means more time necessary to edit the various mistakes each individual archives will find in my work. My fics will continue to be updated at Ashwinder and Potter Place Archives, anywhere else will have to take a back seat. This is my problem and I take full responsibility. I just finished rereading the entire story so far! What a rush of emotions, I swear, there are very few stories that have the ability to make me feel bipolar. It was good to refresh my memory on everything that's happened so far. And I agree with Hermione, I don't think that the baby is Harry's.

Goodness! Hermione's preconditioning to abuse is quite well-established. I wonder when Severus will learn about it, and whether he will change his behavior toward, and treatment of, Hermione accordingly. She certainly knows what behaviors and actions will illicit anger and abuse, and just can't seem to stop herself. I wonder how much self-hatred she has, and whether Severus will be able to resist her egging him on once he realizes her victim mentality. If he is able to do this, I wonder if that self-control will extend to him curtailing his enjoyment of egging on others. You've done an excellent job in portraying all of this! A little scary, but extremely well done.

I also tried to give a slight hint for that with the memory of her drunken father (when Snape had entered her mind). Don't want to explain to much, or else I'd be giving things away, but this SS/HG are obviously unhealthy but perfectly matched...

Yeah, I caught the hint you gave in Hermione's memory, and was rather surprised that Severus didn't pick up on it. I wonder if he had too much on his mind, or whether he experienced so much abuse as a child that he's now desensitized to it. Fascinating read. I look forward to the next chapter!

Ah, ha! I think I know where you're going with the Lavendar situation... or at least I'm having fun guessing. Possibility #1: Before Lavendar gets Harry to marry her, someone performs a paternity spell. I doubt you'll take this option, although I would seriously enjoy seeing it played out. Possibility #2: Lavendar does marry Harry, has the baby--obvious to everyone it's not Harry's--Harry is stuck with her and heart-broken over Ginny, but the reason why Harry broke up with Ginny in the first place comes back into play. If it's #2, I think Lavendar will get killed. Hum. So much for blind ambition. Love it! I also enjoyed how Severus called Hermione on her hypocrisy. That girl certainly needs to be brought down a few pegs.

Great story!!! It's been awhile since I read this, so had to re-read the last few chapters again. Never been a Lavendar fan and now I HATE her. PLEASE tell me it's not Harry's baby and instead her quickie she had early on?? Poor Ginny... Love that Severus and Hermione are together, but hate how docile she is. Looking forward to reading a new chapter soon.

I am one of the judges judging the Dark Fics over at TNL of which you are a nominee. I think I've said this before, but I really, really like your characterization of Snape. You strike a balance with him that I find lacking in a lot of fanfic, and certainly in canon. I appreciate the fact that you've not allowed Hermione to single-handedly turn him to a puddle of pink goo, although he has much more depth and ambiguity than in canon. Very well written. You certainly deserved your nominations at TNL!

Okay, I have a few requests to make. First, kill Sirius, the man should have had the presence of mind to stay dead after his fall in the MOM. Second, kill the Dark Lord, and castrate Macnair, and do unspeakable acts to the rest of the Death Eaters (bar Severus). It's great to have another chapter up, I missed reading your story!

I think the pug is particularly appropriate... though a bit mean-spirited. XD Not that there really is anything wrong with being mean. Too much. This was a darker chapter and I think you wrote it well. There was a lot of emotion built up, and insight into Hermione's thoughts and fears. Well done!

This is a very grown-up version of the Harry Potter story, full of the conflict and angst which must surely have existed behind the facades created for children. I appreciate that enormously about this story. I also like your portrayal of Hermione and Severus' relationship. Many times, these student/teacher stories seem as if Severus is just waiting to pet kittens and smell flowers, while Hermione is preternaturally strong. Your story keeps in perspective the nature of Severus' work, his conflict as a man, and Hermione's youth and rather unequal position in the relationship. Very good!

I am very much enjoying writing Hermione and Severus' relationship as the teacher/student relationship that it is. I don't always see Severus as a bastard nor do I always see Hermione as the bossy know it all. Maybe if they were together a couple years down the road things would be very different, but they aren't here. Severus has authority over her as a professor, and it's unrealistic for that NOT to affect their relationship. This is probably one of the reasons that teacher/student stories aren't popular anymore, because many readers now (who have been in the ship for years) want a strong and 'take charge' Hermione.I enjoy that aspect of her personality as well, but I also love these dark and depressing stories =P. So I am very, very happy that you are enjoying these aspects to my story! Thanks for the read and review!
